They are the absolute worst. Avoid at all costs.

They are the absolute worst. Avoid at all costs.

They con you by offering an upfront fee which includes all service/labour (apart from the parts) and then 1) add more "insurance" and "service" fees later in order to finish the job, after you have already paid the initial fee (meaning you are trapped), and 2) give absolutely terrible customer service from all of their repairmen and customer call centres from start to finish. Upwards of £170 to replace a plastic dishwasher water hose? Complete and utter rip-off.

Here is a breakdown of what happened:

- we called to get a quote - they gave us the one-off quote of £120 or so. we specified to them that we wanted the plumber to come round already equipped with a replacement hose so that he could replace it on the spot. we even gave them all of the details of the dishwasher, the make, etc so they could order it all in advance and turn up ready to go

- someone came round a few days later, spent 10 seconds looking at it and "confirmed" that we needed the hose replacing and that someone would be booked in to do the job and they would order the part. needless to say we were very annoyed because we had understood that whoever came round would fix it for us then and there. despite arguing with him and the customer service staff, they refused to budge and said they would put the order in and contact us with a quote for the part

- the next day we got a quote for £65! a replacement hosepipe costs max £10-20 (google it). we asked them what the extra 45 was for, since all of the labour and call out was already included and they said that it was mandatory insurance for the replacement part and shipping costs. an absolute joke - for that amount of money we could buy two or three replacement hosepipes. again, despite arguing with them, they refused to budge and said either you pay the money and we finish the job or you don't. obviously we were very angry as they now had us over a barrel. we reluctantly accepted and they said the part would be ordered and someone would come round THREE WEEKS LATER!

- three weeks later rolls around and by this point we are very fed up. the person comes round, fixes it in 5 mins and runs out the door after having left a mess behind (water all over the floor and dirt that we had to clean up - he mopped it up only slightly with a towel that we gave him). only once they have left we have discovered that there is a spare part that they removed from the dishwasher and left on the side (which says that the dishwasher should not be operated without the part re-attached, wherever it goes). obviously we called him back straight away and he didn't pick up the phone - we rang him 10 times. the customer service centre is saying that the plumber cannot come back today and they tried to get us to send a picture of the part as apparently the plumber said that they left nothing on the side. the plumber will apparently now have to come back tomorrow.

we are beyond words and beyond angry - this has been an absolutely terrible experience. we wish we could do more to complain to someone/some sort of independent body, but they are just a private company and not regulated. dont put yourself through an expensive nightmare like us and just avoid them

No issues, excellent service.

I live in North London, this company is a few miles from me.

My Kenwood fridge/freezer started making a nasty noise. We have children so a bit of a worry. It was just before Christmas, I called and someone came within a couple of days to inspect the machine. It was a faulty fan motor (which according to Google is a common fault caused by ice build up if the vents are blocked or doors are left open too long) . An email the same day confirmed the part and fixed price repair, with invoice attached.

A few days later, after Christmas, I called to pay up front by card, The part arrived at our address the next working day and it was installed one working day after I confirmed that the part had been received.

Overall, I found the company to be efficient, polite and fair. I would certainly use them again.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

This outfit are a shambles! Made arrangements for a boiler to be replaced, agreed cost and time, only to be told a day later that they were too busy (probably a more lucrative job!() and could not fit me in.

Had a load of waffle about how good they are and how many plumbers they have working for them but their boss can't even string a full sentence together.

If you are thinking of giving them a job, do your homework and look elsewhere...

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY

I contacted this site and they took my booking for 3 days later. The time slot was all day,so I waited until 1400 hrs then contacted them to find out why the engineer had not phoned, only to find out that they don't work outside London. An absolute shambles, as I live in Scotland.

A Non Service

Gave all details about our cooker and was assured that the repair could be undertaken fast. The engineer turned up on time, asked again for the details of the oven, then walked out saying it was a 2 man job. That was on the 4th June. Have heard nothing even though we paid upfront the grand sum of over £300 . Have rung regularly and just fobbed off. In lockdown we have no oven - this is a non service

Engineer ignored job& refused to attend

Booked engineers for Sat 8-1 slot. 12.45, no call and no arrival. I called in to enquire on ETA of engineer and as accused of being a panicked customer. I explained that I was merely enquiring given the short remaining time of the allocated window for arrival. Mix repairs advised that they had my job logged as first job of the day but was not aware that the engineer had not arrived and had chosen his own jobs for the day. Mix repairs offered to have the engineer return same day at a time convenient to us at approx 6.30pm. The engineer called at 4pm and advised that he was 30 mins away. I explained that the office had made new arrangements for a 6.30 call out to which the engineer refused to attend the job. Mix repairs central office was unable to get the engineer to attend the job and returned a call, suggesting I book my job with someone else.

This was a waste of time. Mix repairs demonstrated that their engineers pick and choose the jobs as they please to suit their life and schedule and not to the demand of their customers. Shame on Mix Repairs.

Be careful, they will waste your time.

Repair to Miele Tumble Dryer and Lamona Dishwasher - Engineer Excellent.

Repair to Miele Tumble Dryer. Engineer arrived on time and spent some time testing all components. Diagnosed control board and was given option to purchase part (£300+). Decided to proceed, part was fitted 2 weeks later and fixed problem. While he was here, kindly looked at faulty integrated dishwasher and despite awkward access, found problem to be damaged pipework, which he promptly replaced.
Note - initial fee for callout/diagnosis covers labour for return visit to fit parts, which are typically priced around 10% above cheapest internet price, which I consider reasonable.

BEWARE these people lie

BEWARE these people lie - I asked them if they could do a report diagnosis regarding my cooker door falling off as I had to prove to the retailer that it was faulty. I made it very clear that I did not want a repair. The guy on the phone said this was no problem. But then the engineer came who could barely speak any English and did not even inspect the cooker properly and took no pictures of the damaged door he had to actually come back again. They then tried to order me parts to do a repair that I did not ask for. The cost of repair was for more then I bought the oven for as well. When I complained about this the guy I originally spoke to changed his tune and tried to make out that I asked for a repair and they don’t do reports. So they ended up taking my money and just telling me that my oven is broken which I already knew.

Reply from Mix Repairs

Dear Customer,

In response to the above comment from one of our customers, we would like to clarify the fact that on 13/02/19 above customer called our office and asked us if we can provide a report as a professional third party company. The lady also mentioned that she needs to take the report from us back to her cookers manufacturer or retailer as they have refused her request to exchange or refund of her faulty cooker in the first place and asked her to provide a third party report.

On 15/02/19 one of our engineer’s attended her property and checked her faulty oven door which was not attached and in fact it was in her garden. In our report after we found the door bent and broken badly, we have reported back to her that if she wishes her broken door to be repaired then we will need the listed parts which was sent to her via email. The parts which missing or damaged were: the main oven door glass inner and outer glass, main oven door frame and door handle which was broken.

Then she called us back and tried to ask us to write a report the way that due to a faulty set of door hinges the door was smashed to which we didn’t agree because the report would be false. In fact the door hinges were attached to the cooker and not required at all. Clearly the cause of broken metal door frame including glasses were an excessive force and there was nothing to do with mechanical aspect of cooker including hinges.

We have tried in several occasions to explain the fact to this customer that under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if one product was faulty from manufacturer, then they will accept the exchange or refund from the consumer, unless the product was misused or not operated in the right manor.

In addition, we have provided a professional report as was requested from this customer which in a normal day will be significant enough for any insurance company or retailer to rely on, however this customer also asked us to write in our report that due to a faulty set of door hinges the door was bent and broken which was not the case in our view.

Finally we found the review harsh and dishonest. We are a local family run business for last 10 years and our business aim is to be honest and loyal to our clients and carry our work with the highest standard.

BEWARE - Neff oven

They repaired the heating element for my NEFF oven 15 months ago and it has now stopped working. Spoke to them and they told me it only had 6 MONTHS WARRANTY. I think this is ridiculous; The guy put the phone down on me when I tried to discuss it. BEWARE

Remove oven programmer

Recently my automatic oven timer burnt out.on my 30year old built in double oven. Not wanting to replace an otherwise well made and stylish oven I wanted the programmer isolated and just use the knobs. Two previous repair men were able to replace elements/fans/lights,which I am quite capable of doing, but just did not have technical knowledge until Galin arrived. He knew exactly what I wanted done isolated the unit and hey presto good for another 30 years!!!!!
