MJP LAW, NO INTEGRITY, NO TRANSPARENCY OF FINANCIAL

I agree with the previous reviewer that MJP LAW are INCOMPETENT and UNPROFESSIONAL and probably the worst solicitors I have encountered or had to deal with. They messed up and delayed our families inheritance and took instructions for a will from a carer and not our parents. The carer exploited their position and changed our parents will to gain more money and finances and property have gone missing and MJP Law has refused to provide any transparency about finances or missing property. There is no transparency or accountability when it comes to Financial matters. It appears they may have also messed up a property sale and won't confirm the sale price or other details requested. I am concerned that our parents estate is being eroded by these solicitors who appear to be more interested in abusing the position to make money, than complying with the rights and laws of family members. They even appear to be deliberately creating a situation that will cause a legal conflict just so they can exploit their position and gain more money from it. There are reviews on other sites complaining that clients who put a negative review on MJP Laws website only to find that MJP Law takes it down, leaving only favourable reviews on their website, which is far from Kosher or transparent and very misleading to unsuspecting potential clients. When the reviewer puts the review on another site it was alleged that MJP Law offered them money to take it down. If you need will work or probate, conveyance or any legal matter, please think very carefully before you chose a solicitor. As one prevue reviewer said, DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THESE CLOWNS WHO HAVE NO INTEGRITY OR CREDIBILITY AND JUST WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY IN MY VIEW. I would give them no stars if I could!

MJP LAW INCOMPETENT , UNPROFESSIONAL , UNRELIABLE

MJP LAW these INCOMPETENT , UNPROFESSIONAL , UNRELIABLE wannabe litigators WILL waste your time. Our Experience left us amazed how these clowns have the gall to advertise on their website > ““We offer the kind of legal service we would want if we were you!!”” ~ and then they provide us the kind of “Service NO ONE would want”
you’ will find someone claiming to be a “Director and Head of Conveyancing” offering you Quotes for work that he has absolutely no intentions to ever carry out.
After giving theses idiots the go-ahead with the Quote when eventually you realise they haven’t even started the work and you “Try” to ask what’s going on… you then get your emails , phone calls , and messages left at reception completely ignored while this so-called “Director” makes himself indefinitely “Unavailable”!!
Unprofessional Ignorant time waster…
Oh! and this so called “Company Director” does not even possess a secretary for clients to liaise with OR the common decency to bother letting you know he has changed his mind continuing with the work he “Quoted”.
He just leaves you “believing” the work is in progress when he had no intentions start!! Wow…
But before you get to experience this “MJP Law’s Special Service!!” you’ll have to get past this most pedantic young man on reception with a rude surly attitude that beggars belief any one would ever position public facing representing any one!! DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THESE CLOWNS..

Dear P Neves

Primarily, we would like to offer our sincerest apologies that you have felt the need to leave a review of this nature. This is a matter that we take with the upmost gravity and importance. You will note from our countless positive reviews that this is not a situation that we as a Firm find ourselves in often, in fact it is practically unprecedented.

Having reviewed your matter, it apparent that communication could and should have been much more effective and, again, we offer our sincerest apologies for this oversight which is not typical of the level of service that we usually provide.

When you first contacted us we gave you an estimate of fees which was based on the information provided at the time but as more information was provided it became apparent that the initial quotation was unfortunately incorrect. However we provided a revised estimate and clarified this with you before you decided to proceed with us. Mr Laszlo provided advise on how you should proceed and, as a Firm we stand by the advice given. You then produced to Mr Laszlo a document which suggested that you had previously engaged another firm to do the same work and you would be incurring unnecessary costs by asking us to do it again. Mr Laszlo queried this with you before starting work as he genuinely did not wish for you to incur legal costs that were unnecessary. This should have been communicated more effectively with you and again we offer our sincerest apologies. Whilst we are not trying to invalidate your concerns, we do hope that this explanation goes somewhere to explain and reassure you.

We thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention to provide us with the opportunity to make improvements accordingly.

Be careful

My experience with MJP Law during my house purchase and sale was disappointing. They were slow, often requested documents I had already provided, and made errors in figures and calculations. Communication was poor, with some queries never receiving a response and a few never replied to at all.

There was also a discrepancy between the initial quote (Based on Dorset area conveyancing) and final invoice (London), which was frustrating given they knew from the very start my transaction was in London. No discount offered despite the above.

In a separate case they handled for me, things went more smoothly, but billing errors persisted. When calling to make a payment, the amount quoted was sometimes higher than the invoice, and I had to dispute overcharges myself.

They also seemed to cause delays in exchanging contracts. If you choose to work with them, I’d recommend double-checking everything, as they are prone to mistakes.

They ignore our emails and telephone messages

This Law Firm obtained 'Power of Attorney' over our Uncle's estate, which in itself would not be a problem because his wellbeing is our only concern. Our Uncle has dementia and we are concerned for his well being.

However, MJP Law ignored telephone enquiries from my Dad two years ago and only replied on email to claim that our Uncle does not know us and does not want to talk to us.

They may be telling the truth about this, but why they ignore emails and telephone messages casts doubt over their ethics and therefore looks very suspicious.

MJP don't care that our Uncle still has family and seem content to ensure communications are severed between us. Perhaps their only priority is a steady flow of cash into their Law Firm.

1000% recommend!

We could not recommend Gabbie at MJP law enough! Gabbie has been fantastic throughout quite a stressful first time buy for us. She is super responsive and talked us through every step of the process and really fought our corner when the chain was messing around. Thank you so much Gabbie! We will be recommending to all our friends and family

Top quality company

MJP LAW were recommended to me to deal with probate from our first meeting and through the whole process I was always kept updated and the communication was excellent. The house conveyancing was also carried out by the same company and that was carried out with no problem, The end cost for dealing with the whole process was very competitive, Thankyou MJP LAW
