Garbage company

Garbage company, clearly don't stock items they advertise, waiting times change by every email, asked for refund and then ghosted by them as they try to run down the clock on refund duration times.

Avoid: Failed refunds and illegal fee deductions

Absolutely shambolic experience with ML Performance (Order #MLP170821). I cancelled my order on 24 Feb after being told parts weren't in stock. Despite their "14-working-day" policy—which already pushes the limits of UK Consumer Law—the refund has been a disaster.

They claimed on 4 March that the refund had "gone through," but PayPal confirmed today (9 March) that the refund attempt actually FAILED. Even worse, they attempted to refund £69.50 instead of the full £70.79 I paid.

Be warned: Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, retailers cannot deduct their PayPal/merchant transaction fees from a customer's refund for a cancelled, non-dispatched order. Trying to short-change customers by £1.29 might seem small, but doing it to everyone is predatory.

I have now had to escalate this to a formal PayPal claim to get my money back. Avoid this company—they are quick to take your money but will use every "system is down" excuse in the book to avoid returning it.

Don't use this company, absolute scammers

Don't use this company
They will sell you things they will never get in stock, after you finally manage to get in contact with them (which they wont answer the phone most of the time or email back, the only way to get them to answer is via the sales line instead of order support) they will try and fob you off with supplier issues and increase the ETA, and keep doing this until you ask for a refund. 11 days later and still no sign of one.
How they are still on business with this level of customer service is beyond me

Absolutely appalling company

Absolutely appalling company, I bought a license for a tune and realised it wasn't compatible, i called customer service yet only one person in a professional "car performance" company was available to discuss the issue not even management, the customer assistant said he was the only person available... long story short I requested a refund and am still waiting 29 days for them to process my refund.

Do not buy from this company, they are unprofessional, unorganised and dysfunctional as a company, I will be making a legal dispute if my refund isn't issued in the next 7 days.

Refund Only Received After Opening a PayPal Dispute

My experience with this company was very disappointing.
I placed an order and paid via PayPal. After the payment went through, my order was never processed or dispatched, and I received no updates at all from the company.
Because of this, I decided to cancel the order within the 14-day cancellation period by contacting customer service through their online chat. I was told that my refund would be issued within 12–14 working days.
However, two months later, I still had not received my refund.
When I contacted customer service again, the advisor told me that their system was down and they could not check the status of my order with the processing team. I asked to speak with a supervisor because the refund was already long overdue, but my request was ignored and the chat stopped responding.
At that point, I escalated the issue by opening a PayPal dispute, and thankfully PayPal refunded me almost immediately.
Nearly a week later, the company emailed me saying " Your order has been refunded” and asked me to review my experience.
Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend researching this company carefully before placing an order. I only discovered the large number of unhappy customers after I had already placed my order.
Very frustrating experience.

Reported to Trading Standards and Police

Terrible company to deal with who blatantly lie and try and keep your money without delivering anything.
Made a bunch of lame excuses blaming Shopify, finance/ordering system outages and suppliers for not being able to deliver or provide a refund.
Ending up reporting to trading standards, UK Report Fraud (Police) and Visa.
Ultimately had to get my refund via the credit card company as ML Performance will make excuse after excuse and then ultimately ignore you.
AVOID AVOID AVOID!
Marshall Lee (the company owner). I hope your underhanded shady dealings get you shut down and arrested!

Ridiculous company, unprofessional and scamming

Ordered an item that was supposed to be in stock. After three days they emailed me that it will take 4 weeks for the product to arrive. I cancelled the order and asked for refund, which they confirmed.

It’s been a month, there’s no refund in sight and they keep saying “there’s a long queue for refunds”.

Ridiculous company and there are many, many similar complaints on forums.

Missed deadlines, no communication — a deeply disappointing experience

I placed an order with ML Performance on January 11 2026. After the initial order confirmation there were no updates for quite some time.

Only after I contacted them myself did I receive a reply explaining that the item would arrive at their warehouse in another 2–3 weeks due to supplier delays. This information could and should have been communicated much earlier.

Unfortunately, even after the timeframe they themselves mentioned had passed, there was still no dispatch and no meaningful update.

After reading other reviews online, it became clear that many customers describe exactly the same pattern: long delays, poor communication and constantly shifting timelines. This makes it very difficult to treat any of the promised delivery estimates with confidence.

At this point the whole situation feels extremely unreliable. Thankfully, the amount of money involved in my case was not very large. However, the experience itself was more than enough for me to conclude that I will never place another order with this company.

For potential buyers, this kind of experience raises serious concerns about how orders are handled and fulfilled.

This is a scam shop

This is a scam shop - 3 months and still waiting for my order to arrive. They have decided to totally ignore all my emails asking for refund. Before I asked update on my order and got a reply, but they said that they are not able to give me ANY information because their "system is down". They promised to contact me asap when that technical issue is fixed. Yeah.... that was about month ago. I hope my bank can refund me the payment

Order #MLP172525 – No dispatch yet

Order #MLP172525 – Waiting for dispatch / refund requested

I placed an order with ML Performance on 05 February 2026 for a Genuine BMW 11417810823 Oil/Vacuum Pump Assembly (£458.68).

After placing the order I noticed a number of similar reviews mentioning delays and stock issues.

So far I have not received any confirmation that the item has been dispatched and no tracking information has been provided. The company informed me there are operational delays and that dispatch may take several weeks.

Because of this I have now requested cancellation of the order and a full refund.

I hope the issue can be resolved quickly and professionally. If the refund is processed promptly I will gladly update this review.

DO NOT USE - They cannot supply the parts

Ordered a part on 16th Jan to be delivered on 30th of Jan, No part delivered by end of Feb!
Not answering phones or replying to mails.
Had to Threaten with legal action via online chat which took 2 hours to reply to.
Refund still not sent,
Had to open a dispute procedure with PayPal, Still waiting for refund.
Ignoring customers does not make the problem go away, it makes the customers go away, unfortunately!

Terrible service and is misleading. Believe to be a con. Order could be met to the expectation given. Refund not processed within their own policy timeline. Emails are informative on how they “process” but deliver nothing. Do not use. Still waiting for my money back

Dodgy AF

Ordered item on 1st Jan. Showing in stock. Chased 23rd Jan and to be fair email I have missed upon order showed back order (despite saying in stock on site). 3 chases. They have responded but now 9 weeks and nothing. I recommend no one uses this company ever and at all costs.

I’ve now had two separate orders with…

I’ve now had two separate orders with ML Performance that they have been unable to fulfil due to items being out of stock.

In both cases, the products were available to purchase on the website with no indication that stock was unavailable. After placing the order, I then had to find out later that the items couldn’t actually be supplied.

What’s more frustrating is the lack of communication. There were no proactive updates or notifications about the stock issue—I had to chase for information myself.

If items aren’t in stock, that should be clearly stated before purchase, and customers should be kept informed if there are delays or fulfilment problems.

Disappointing experience twice now. I hope they improve their stock management and customer communication going forward.

I cancelled my order on the 6th of Feb…

I cancelled my order on the 6th of Feb due to it not beimg shipped in the stated time with no communication. Today is the 5th of March and I have still not received my refund and everytime I contact ML performance I am given an excuse that the system is down. I would advise everyone to avoid this company at all costs as they are clearly very unprofessional! I gave ML performance long enough to rectify this and give me my money back, even notifying them of my intention to leave a negative review if it was not resolved promptly. However here i am month later and now have to go through my bank to get my money back. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

These people are absolute scammers

These people are absolute scammers, they falsely advertise items are in stock with misleading lead times, I have contacted them for a update on the order and they are claiming that their site I down..

I have contacted them multiple times for a refund and I have not even gotten a response back.

I can't even report to Shopify because their forms aren't working
