Buyer beware - order is not fulfilled

I placed an order with MMA Apparel Australia on 16 October 2025. There is no update on their website beyond “ awaiting fulfillment “. I tried to contact them via their website, FB messenger, and contact number. No response.

Unfortunately, it appears this is not an isolated case, and I wish I had read other reviews about this business before placing an order. My experience confirms the pattern: lack of communication, no updates, and no accountability. The next step is to submit a chargeback request to my cc company.

I trusted this business and paid in good faith, but there is no evidence that they will fulfill orders. I strongly advise potential buyers to avoid this company unless they want to risk losing their money and facing complete silence.

MMA Apparel: Threats, bullying and name calling.

MMA Apparel Australia has failed to provide a refund after promising to do so. Every statement in this review is taken directly from the email thread between MMA Apparel and myself.
Story so far:
18/MAR/25: purchased item - 2 week shipping
26/MAR/25: 8 days since order
Emailed: requested refund as item had not been shipped (no tracking advice had been given) in line with their terms and conditions.
Accepted that it would be a store credit as the tracking information was then produced. Agreed to send the item back once it had arrived.
01/APR/25: 2 weeks since order.
AusPost tracking stated that parcel has been returned to due to "incorrect address on item". Emailed: Offered to take a full refund for MMA Apparel to avoid further shipping costs.
Checked information on the order - shipping address provided was correct.
MMA Apparel reply: "We'll use the same label to resend it back to you".
14/APR/25: Emailed as to the status of the order. Requested that they refund the order if they have not yet received the item back from AusPost.
15/Apr/25: 4 weeks since order.
MMA Apparel reply: "We are waiting for the order to reteurn to us. Once it arrives we will give you the option of refunding the money back into your account".
23/Apr/25: 5 weeks 1 day since order.
Emailed: Asked if there is any sign of the order, requested if that we could just have this refunded as it was taking so long.
No response
1/May/25: 6 weeks, 2 days since order.
Emailed: Requested that MMA Apparel processed a full refund citing that waiting for AusPost return an item that never reached the destination fell under the sellers responsibility, not the consumers.
MMA Apparel reply: Requested bank account details to action the refund. "Please allow 7 business days for payment to clear into your"
Emailed: Bank details sent that day - 1/May/25
No Response
17/May/25: 8 weeks 4 days since order
Emailed: Requested screenshot that the refund had been processed - 11 business days after bank details were provided.
23/May/25: 9 Weeks 5 days since order
Emailed: Gave them fair warning I was going to make a report about their business.
No Response
Made report later on same day.
24/May/25: 9 weeks 6 days since order
Made 1 star Google review on MMA Apparel.
Received many aggressive responses by phone and email. Told to take down the review as it would "hurt my business". They do not seem concerned at all over the $200+ we had paid for an item that was ordered over 9 weeks prior and never been received.
I have been refered to as a terrorist in one email from their office for holding them "hostage" with the review. They have posted two completely false google reviews against the business I work for using my name. We are apparently now in a "Mexican Stand-off" due to my actions.
I have repeatedly stated the facts as outlined here and in our email thread and they refuse to take any responsibility or care. They have resorted to name calling, threatening to damage the reputation of my employer and refusing to refund an item that never arrived that was ordered 9 weeks 6 days ago despite multiple requests to do so.
Be wary of dealing with this company, they are so hell bent on protecting their "perfect 5 star rating" from the 6 other reviews they have received over the past 10 years that you can only imagine that they have been down this path before.

2/JUN/25: Still no refund.
