MOBICITY IS A SCAM WEBSITE

I ordered a £310 iPad mini on my credit card for my son in mid December 2017 and it is now the end of March 2018 and I still haven’t received the product or got a refund. After receiving a few excuse emails about not being able to send the product, cancelling my order, saying there is 30 day wait on a refund, system faults delaying payment of the refund after 2 months and finally an email from MobiCity saying my case is closed even though I still haven’t had a refund. Now they have stopped replying to me and am currently going through my credit card company reporting them for fraud. I was so annoyed because they had a 4 star rating on their google ad which was a joke. MobiCity is an absolute scam of a company. MOBICITY ARE A SCAM WEBSITE! DO NOT USE EVER!!!

Never use mobycity you will loose your…

Never use mobycity you will loose your money at best. Spend months waiting for your purchase that will never be delivered.Waist your life checking for replies to your emails that you wont get. And feel totally demoralised that you've fell for a scam. If you get to read this review im about 600th on the list and i only wish i could have told you sooner. And the reality is im only writing this review to kid myself that i feel better for doing it. Ill leave you to make up your own mind but i really wish some one will shut this useless, rouge trader down!!!!!!!!!!!

SCAM COMPANY - NEVER BUY FROM THEM

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM.....NEVER BUY FROM THIS SITE.....THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND ARE NOT CONTACTABLE AFTERWARDS. THE WEBSITE DOMAIN STATES 'UK' BUT SEARCH A LITTLE DEEPER AND YOU FIND THEY ARE HONG KONG BASED.......MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY IS NOW REFUNDING MY 'PURCHASE'.......THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE TO TAKE THE HASSLE FOR A SCAM COMPANY LIKE THIS AS THE COST OF THEM RECOUPING THE MONEY MEANS CUSTOMERS ARE ULTIMATELY CHARGED HIGH INTEREST RATES AND FEES ETC....

They sell items on their site that they do not have for significantly cheaper than other competitors (The saying applies here. "If it's too good to be true"). Trying to phone to find out about your order is a waste of time. Also trying to email you will not receive any replies. You may get through on the website online chat and trust me they will try and convince your order is on it's way. I suggest you contact your bank immediately and raise an online dispute. As the next thing they will tell you is they are having problems and have installed a new system and it will take 25 days to refund your money. I would suggest you contact the fraud department of your bank and get the transaction dispute process started sooner rather than later.

Never buy from this site!!!!

I have be waiting over a month for my camera, when I finally got though to the customers service people they said there was a problem with the dispatch. I asked if I could cancel the order and get a refund? She said yes it would be 10 working days! Over 2 weeks later I'm still waiting and now can't get a hold of anyone! I want my money back!!!

STAY AWAY! Rogue Traders.

Absolutely appalling company. I am having exactly the same problem as everyone else on here. I treated myself to some headphones and the price was too good to be true! I have had one email from them saying they have had some stock stolen, and it is under investigation.
Foolish me, for not checking Trust Pilot! Stay as far away from this company as you can!

They dont deserve even 1 star - Trustpiliot should review

Nightmare dodgy Chinese company (Hong Kong based), having a virtual office address in London - Wonder how Trustpilot & TrustGuard et al did not close these fellows.

I ordered a speaker for Christmas - after 1 month, cancelled the order, now one month gone, no refund yet. No one answers the phone. No reply to emails. My a/c login has been closed in their site too.

To be avoided

A most untrustworthy company
I have to agree with all the other reviews.
They take your money and then completely ignore you.
I have contacted my credit card company who have refunded the money but what I can't understand is why the credit card companies don't stop them from continuing this fraudulent trading.

Shocked they are still selling on line

I absolutely mad at myself for not checking the trust pilot and falling into a dream of cheap equipment. I ordered the camera lens on 11th of Feb 2018. Money taken out of my account the next morning, it’s 7th of March, ive been trying to contact them since 23rd of Feb! 2 emails, about 5 messages through the website, 9 calls and chat and I only manage to get someone through the chat once! who told me that they had goods stolen and their shipment is on hold as the case is under investigation (this was on the 1 of March). She said she will contact me in 24-48 hours but she hasn’t! No money no lens! Still trying to contact them and still nothing!!!

It’s now the 9/03 and I’ve contacted my bank. Hopefully we will be able to get the money back. I’d say if you have purchased something recently and you paid but haven’t receive the item or can no longer contact the seller, contact your bank and apply for chargeback. Good luck!

I feel like the update is needed. After almost 6 weeks I received my money back and this was through the charge back. MobiCity still haven’t been in touch - it’s been 5 or 6 weeks since I placed the order. They are still sending me rubbish offers on email! This is 100% scam!

Don't Make the Mistake! Victim? Contact UK Action Fraud

I bought the HTC U Play from mobicity.co.uk - thinking they were UK based. Had no delivery. Contacted muliple occasions and said it was out of stock. The ironic fact is that they were still selling it on their website! Now it is the 6th march - I cancelled my order on the 24th feb. Said it will take 25 WORKING days to process my refund. I decided to contact Action Fraud. I will also contact my bank for help on the matter. Hopefully I will get my funds back. Do not buy from here. DON'T! I recommend victims to contact Action Fraud UK.

The worst company ever or fraudsters...either way, don't touch with a bargepole

Mobicity are either the worst run company in the world and in the history of business, or they are fraudsters that will sell you items they do not stock. Then when you chase them a few weeks later, only then do they tell you it actually never was in stock. Then when you request a refund, they will offer up excuse after excuse as to why you will not be seeing the refund for WEEKS yet have the audacity to send emails telling me that "rest assured you will get your money back"..weeks after said email I have still not got my money back! Thankfully I paid by credit card and my bank refunded me.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM MOBICITY. The price is cheap for a reason...because it's a fraud.

Don't throw your money away!!

Only giving 1 star as you can't give Zero.
Waited a couple of weeks after I'd paid £250 for a mobile.
No phone.
Contacted them they said they were trying to get from suppliers.
Ordered 11/2 today is 15/3 still nothing.
Only ever got through on the live chat thing, now that's not working.
Not getting replies to emails.
Not convinced I'll get my money back from them so have now contacted bank.
Don't risk yours!
Amazon in future.

Fraud!!!!!

Fraud!!!!!
Ordered a phone in January, waited the 3-7 days for shipping but the phone didnt turn up, so I contacted them and was advised that the shipping times are related to when the phone leaves the warehouse. I asked when the phone would leave the warehouse and they had no idea, couldnt tell me if it would be days, weeks or months so I decided to cancel the order. Was told 25 business days for a refund which is ridiculous! It is now March, has been 25 business days and no refund! Can't seem to find the chat service on their website now, it seems to have disappeared. Phone them and it goes to an automated message, so I have emailed them, and contacted my bank. Luckily purchased on credit card so hopefully will be able to do a chargeback.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE!!!!!!!

How this company hasn't been shut down yet I have no idea.

Refund

People! Those who are waiting for refund, yes you must wait for 25 days but after that if the money is not on your account contact your bank and tell them what happend, in my case I had to sent them a letter with explanation and all those e-mails I have got from MobiCity ( transaction, process order, cancellation ) because that the only way to get you money back ( but cant guarantee, depends on the bank )
