I've used Lebara in the Netherlands for…

I've used Lebara in the Netherlands for a few weeks while on a business trip and had a good experience. I picked a prepaid 6GB bundle for €6.50 which came with a 50% discount and was valid for 30 days. It comes with unlimited calls and texts but I only used the data part. Pretty reasonable pricing! The coverage was great and I didn't face any issue whatsoever with regards to connectivity. That said I was always in a major urban area (Amsterdam and Rotterdam).
Back in the UK though, I noticed the data speeds can be a little hit or miss when you're outside the city. My connection oftentimes dropped to 4G even though my other SIM card shows 5G. While that didn't bother me too much, this is something to consider if you're in the countryside.

Would be a 0 if it was an option to choose.
I purchased a sim after researching and discovering that I would be able to use it in the country I was visiting (Bangladesh). I was disappointed to say the least! I was not able to get a signal let alone use it for data, calls or text! What a waste of £30.

2 weeks, enough is enough

I have been with lebara for two weeks and I am leaving already. The network doesn't work for data, I have had to try downloading apps, security updates multiple times and failed.
Customer service is terrible, more interested in bad reviews being changed than sorting issues, no regard for what your upto when they call just springing into auto pilot, I had to stop Lebara rep and say that now is a bad time and suggested a time to call back and that never happened.
Now I have got a new Sim in my old knackered phone and it's working better than Lebara Sim in new phone and new monthly Sim only deal gives me 6x the data for the same price and just to sweeten the deal further new network sent a £75 wine voucher, just waiting for number to switch over, will be swapping Sims between phones later so new network in new phone and I won't have to go outside to make calls and download.
Can't wait to be gone!

Messed up porting my number which removed the service on both my old and new number

Same issues as the reviewer a week or so ago. Took out contract, set up app, activated SIM and everything was fine. They were then to port my old number across, messed it up and now I have no service on either my original number or the Lebara one. The Lebara SIM doesn’t even connect to their network. Customer service are hopeless, tell you everything will be fixed soon and then nothing happens. They lie to you telling you that they have fixed the ‘technical’ issue and that everything will work soon, but it doesn’t. Won’t / can’t transfer you to a manager, say they are raising a complaint but won’t give a reference number or the details of the team that will handle it. I asked them just to turn my SIM back on with the Lebara number so at least I had some access and they couldn’t even do that. No resolution time, told the complaints process would take 48/72 hours in the meantime no service. Going to cancel contract and go with a better provider.

Ba aware, they are useless with support.

Been a customer of Lebara over a year. Persuaded my family to change as I’d been happy with them. Encountering an issue with one sim, I had to use their support. Awful. They do not understand their systems then shout at you when you tell them they aren’t listening the Lebara service is ok until you need to talk to someone. They are obnoxious and useless. Be warned.

The guy on the TV Ad drives me nuts with his dismissive smart arse comment on avoiding the problems when you choosing to leave by not leaving. If you want to end a relationship then there is a reason normally.

Nothing good on this network

sorry, the network has not changed anything, nothing is getting better, the internet crashes and stops in the evenings a tragedy. It is impossible to communicate with anyone on what app or viber, the network is disappearing. My patience has run out. There is another network who has good service and nothing is stuck .TO expensive this service.

I used to rate them highly but wow service is shocking now

I've had great experience with Lebara in the past but not this time. They have messed up porting my number, leaving me with no network access at all for 4 days now. (Neither my previous number nor the temporary number work.) I have contacted the online chat daily which is laborious - chat agents are obviously handling multiple queries at a time and take an age to respond. Every day I've been told it will be resolved that day. Now on Day 4 I'm struggling to believe this any more. I've emailed customer care and emailed the CEO twice and not had any response. I've even resorted to commenting on various social media platforms. The fact they don't respond to queries there tells you a lot. Most big companies will get in touch with you directly or give you a contact to follow up with. A budget provider is no good if they don't actually provide anything. I now need to seek legal advice to get my number back because the Ombudsman can't help for 8 weeks. I'll update this if I hear from them but am not holding out much hope now.

BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR OVER 2 YEARS WITH NO PROBLEMS. HOWEVER THAT CHANGED RECENTLY. I HAVE BEEN ON A 12 MONTH ROLLING PLAN £9 20GB. IMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN I DISCOVERED THAT THIS PLAN HAS BEEN LARGELY PHASED OUT & REPLACED BY A PLAN £9 25GB. NOBODY TOLD ME>.HOW LONG HAS THIS BEEN GOING ON. I DID GET AN EMAIL OUT OF THE BLUE A MONTH AGO GIVING ME 3GB TO ENJOY I WAS THRILLED AT THE TIME BUT NOW WITH HINDSIGHT VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH LEBARA. TIME TO CHANGE.

Absolutely dreadful

Absolutely dreadful. Ordered a SIM on Saturday with the intention of swopping to this network provider- I've had no further updates since then. Did an online chat with someone in an overseas call centre earlier today to check the progress of my order, only to be told I'd have to order another SIM using a different email address. As I couldn't understand his explanation as to why I'd have to do that I called the customer service number and spoke to someone else, (also overseas) and she couldn't resolve the matter either. I then received a call from someone else in an overseas call centre who was apparently more senior than the previous two people I spoke to and he told me something completely different and said it would take 5-7 working days to get the matter resolved, and it would be easier to just order a new SIM to speed up the process!
Pathetic- I'm taking my business elsewhere.

I first purchased a sim card from Lebara after seeing a deal on Martin Lewis website.
It's a brilliant deal & I've never been charged more than the agreed amount. Phone reception is brilliant & I've had no data issues.
I have since recommended this sim to many people, all who are happy.
I have now added another 3 of these sim cards to our other work phones. Excellent value. Saved me so much money 💰
