This is a complete scam - it charges money without any reason and I am unable to revoke it. Talked to my GSM provider "UAB Bitė", and they say they cannot do anything about it. I believe they might have something to do with it, or the whole GSM technology has been hacked.
I can't believe how dumb I was to sign up. It sneakily looked like it was a part of another Arabic streaming site for MBC or something, I put in my credentials and I thought I cancelled it straight away. It was taking money out of my phone account daily. I'm furious.
It's basically a scam, mostly a trap for unaware grandmas and kids.
This is scam!!! Facebook add offers to watch a video but to verify your phone number they ask for send an SMS. There is no mention of any subscribtion which can be easly visible. After that you are are automaticly subscribed to weekly service off 3.5Eur which will be added to your phone bill. Even unsubscribing with in seconds after "registering" will add 3.5eur to your bill.
Total scam and unethical business practice. Lure people in with mobile operator subscription service and charge you weekly 3.5 EUR.
Kid entered this PIN code somewhere to watch video and subscribed to it... Took me 6 months to notice these charges on the phone bill.
Worse than phone scammers.
This is a scam, plain and simple. It works like this: You are reviewing something on line and accidentally stumble over a video on the subject. In order to view the video you must enter a four digit code sent to your telephone. By entering this code you have “accepted” a MobioTV subscription which will cost you NOK 99 a week. The bill is charged via Strex and your Phone operator. In most cases it’ll take a few months before the victims of the scam discovers what they have been exposed to. In my case it took eight weeks and cost me NOK 800.
I have complained both to my phone company and to Strex, so far with no gain.
This is scam. In Norway they use Strex to get paid for their scam, they make invoive on the phonebill, NOK 99,- pr. week for something I never ordered.
