Enjoyable and encouraging lessons tailored to my needs

I started learning Irish as a beginner earlier this year, using Duolingo, grammar books and joining a group Comhrá course online. I decided to try Mo Chuid Gaeilge a few months ago and the one-to-one weekly classes with Séilí Ann have greatly improved both my comprehension of grammatical points and my conversation skills. Lessons are tailored specifically to my needs, are always enjoyable and encouraging and are followed up with useful notes on relevant grammar and vocabulary. I have found it very helpful and would recommend it to anyone interested in learning or improving their Irish.

I started lessons 3 months ago as complete beginner!

I started lessons 3 months ago as a surprise for my Irish fiancee (he's from Mayo) and Alan has been such a fantastic teacher. He is super responsive even outside of class time. The classes are interactive and good 'craic' and the 45 minutes always flies by. I would definitely recommend trying at least one lesson with Alan or one of the other teachers!

Constant Reinforcement

The teachers were very patient and kind. I used to not be able to string a sentence together, but with constant reinforcement and reminders throughout the lessons I can finally get my ideas across. Thanks Mo Chuid team and in particular Jane! ☘️

I just finished my second lesson with…

I just finished my second lesson with Cliona and couldn't be happier. In the lesson, we set down a marker for where I am skill wise and areas I need improvement in.
My main focus is spoken Irish so I used these lessons to refine my speaking and listening skills. I am very happy and am now attending bi-weekly lessons to fit into my busy schedule.

Absolutely great way of teaching

Absolutely great! Lessons are really individual, starting from the point that is really interesting. I love music, so we started with song lyrics. Grammatical questions became interesting then. And they were answered in an understandable and practical way. Then came up the wish to get more practice in speaking. So everything unfolded in the best way for me! Highly recommended!!

I Highly recommend Mo Chuid Gaeilge

I Highly recommend Mo Chuid Gaeilge. Both my children have taken lessons over the last 2 years while homeschooled and then again when they needed some extra tutoring coming up to exams in school. My daughter was struggling with Irish up until we started tutoring, now she is in higher level and feeling very confident and competent with her Irish. All the teachers have been so friendly, patient and structured. My children would be shy yet they both felt very comfortable with Alan, Jane and the other teachers.
