MoneyGram is unreliable and unhelpful
I’ve been using MoneyGram’s online service to send money to the Philippines for convenience. However, when I recently tried to send $4,000, I received an email requesting ID verification. I submitted my US passport, but they then asked for a selfie verification. After submitting that, my transaction was suddenly canceled. I called customer service, but they couldn’t explain why and refused to connect me to a supervisor. They canceled my online account without any clear reason, and now I can’t send money online.
Their customer service is helpless, and this experience was a huge inconvenience. I won’t recommend MoneyGram to anyone. There are far better remittance services out there that value their customers. Be aware!
