Automatically renewed subscription without consent and prior notice

I would like to report a practice that I believe violates the Federal Act on Unfair Competition (AUC).
The Moneyhouse.ch website automatically renewed a subscription without my express consent and without prior notice.
The charge was made in a non-transparent manner, and the company refuses to refund the amount.

This conduct violates, in particular, Articles 2 and 8 of the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) and Article 3, paragraph 1, letters b and s, of the Swiss Act on Unfair Competition (AUC).

I advise everyone who has had the same experience as mine to file a complaint with SECO, which protects the collective interests of consumers. If SECO receives a sufficient number of complaints about the unfair practices of the same company, they will assess whether it is appropriate to file a report with the relevant cantonal authority. Therefore, let’s make our voices heard!

Total scam and dishonest practices

Total scam and dishonest practices. ⚠️

Moneyhouse advertises a “trial” but hides the fact that you’ll later be charged. Even after cancelling the subscription, they continue sending invoices. We sent three emails asking about their offer, and only today did a lady call me from 044 258 28 77 to say she was “on holidays” and couldn’t reply earlier. Her response was basically: you’re already trapped since you bought a subscription, so you must pay the bills.

Unbelievable! This is not professional at all. Stay far away from this company unless you want to waste time, energy, and money fighting unfair charges.

When buying a 6-month membership they…

When buying a 6-month membership they of course will set in your settings the automatic renewal and not let you know about it until you have to pay the invoice. Then, there's no possibility to cancel the subscription besides calling them by phone, being put on hold and listening to their soundtrack. Bad customer experience.

Terrible and to be avoided

Terrible - avoid at all costs
In summary, we were sold something that does not exist. Its a complete con
Beware - they lead you to believe that you can access financial information on businesses - its not true, what there is, is at such a high level I could've done it myself (eg turnover band is "between 1 and 3 million"). Worse still, even at this high level, the data is not correct!
We asked for our money back - and despite everyone at customer service agreeing that is is useless and we can't access what we were promised, they say they can't refund.......
