Eventually thrilled
I was thrilled with the eventual iutcome, of course! My only disappointment was that after submitting the same requested information four times, it took me having to call to find out what was going wrong. As it turned out, the format I sent the information in wasn’t acceptable. I think it would have been prudent to state that in the emails/texts I received that told me I had to submit more information (which I had already submitted).

Absolutely appalling communication and complaint handling.
My Freestyle account suddenly stopped working with no warning. No email. No SMS. No proper notice. Nothing.
I only found out when I tried to use it and was declined. Embarrassing enough on its own, but what made it worse was the complete lack of explanation afterwards.
When I contacted MONEYME, I was told the Freestyle product had effectively been discontinued. Yet the product is still being advertised publicly as though it is available and operating normally.
So which is it?
Has the product been discontinued, or are customers being given incorrect information?
I lodged a formal internal complaint on 21 May 2026. Their own acknowledgement email said they would endeavour to respond within 7 business days, or if complex, aim to resolve the dispute within 21 calendar days.
That timeframe has passed.
I still have no formal written response.
I still have no explanation.
I still have no confirmation of what happened to my account.
I still have no proof that any notice was sent.
I still do not know why the product is still being advertised.
Instead, I have had to chase them repeatedly.
I also lodged a complaint with AFCA. When I followed up with MONEYME, I was told the matter was waiting on AFCA. That was not correct. My AFCA portal showed AFCA was waiting for MONEYME.
That is not a small mistake. That is exactly the kind of poor communication that caused the complaint in the first place.
After more chasing, I was told the complaint is with a case manager, that it is under review, and that they are preparing a response. Still no date. Still no direct contact. Still no proper answer.
The chat staff were polite, but polite scripts do not fix bad complaint handling.
This is a regulated financial provider. Customers should not have to beg for basic information about their own account. If a credit product stops working, the company should be able to explain why. If a product has been discontinued, customers should be told clearly. If the product is still being advertised, the company should explain why customers are being told it has ceased.
This has been silence, confusion, delays, and buck-passing.
I would not recommend MONEYME based on this experience. Basic transparency should not be this hard.
