Avoid buying from Monoqi

Avoid buying from Monoqi. It is the second time that I order something with them and the experience was terrible. I do not have my product after a month since the delivery date was scheduled and they are not able to provide me with a tracking number of the shipment or any other details to contact the seller. If they are selling the product, they have the major responsibility since they sell it until the product arrive to the customer door. The customer service they offer through email is terrible and they do not reply or they reply after 3 days with no valid answer. When you try to call them, the person is rude and she does not let you talk, she fight you even though you are the customer and you are unhappy with the service. Never again

They have taken over £500 off me by going into insolvency, jokers!
Sent me a short email telling me that they have gone into insolvency and would be carrying on under a different name in reply to my request to see where the order was after it being held up months.
DO NOT USE!

This company is in insolvency!

This company is in insolvency!
It is not fulfilling orders or returning money on orders made with it prior to December 2018. It is operating under the same website and name. I would not trust this company as they did not inform customers of the situation. Buyers beware!

Fraud

Its a Fraud. No updates on orders made in November until we chased them two months later. Apparently 'preliminary insolvency proceedings shall be commenced with respect to Things I like GmbH' which means no delivery, no money back. The case started one month after my orders taken. Also the website is still there, accepting orders further.

Very bad experience

Very bad experience. They don't deliver. Original delivery of 4 weeks was not possible. After almost 2 months they still couldn't say when to expect the order. I cancelled my order. Never again.

Interesting And Unusual Designer Goods - But You'll Need To Be Patient

Monoqi.co.uk is the British branded portal of Monoqi.de - a German company based in Berlin. There's also a US version I believe.

To date I've ordered from them on five different occasions, have always received what was advertised, and always been happy with the goods themselves when eventually received. This company specialises in niche designer goods, sold for a limited period at a discounted price, and it can be quite addictive seeing what's on offer in the constantly changing mix. It's kind of a boutique designer version of Lidl in some ways. Many of the things on offer are not widely available elsewhere, are limited run productions or possibly direct from artists and craftspeople. So I applaud Monoqi for bringing them to a wider audience.

This business model has its benefits, but the downside is it seems they take your order but don't action it until after the discount period has closed. I guess this helps them negotiate low prices with their trade suppliers, and avoids unsold stock, but it does lead to big delays in receiving your goods. Two months is not uncommon, so be aware of this. If you are happy to wait then that's fine. It did worry me initially and I questioned if it was a scam. Happily though it isn't. Pay with a credit card and you'll be protected in the interim. If you're genuinely in a big hurry though, go elsewhere.

My advice to Monoqi is be more up-front about delivery periods, and ideally, speed them up considerably. In this day and age people want their stuff delivered far more quickly than you are currently achieving.
Oh, and the web site could be improved too - the endless scrolling needed in order to see the daily offers can be frustrating to navigate.

Those things aside, I've been pleased with my purchases and can recommend the company as being legitimate. Four stars.
