Data protection violation

Ad for www monstershop.co.uk appeared in my email account re secure cabinets (I rarely open such ads and will not do so again). When I pressed for info I was told that "you might not like cookies but we do" and informed that they placed them on those using site - any objections, control through your browser. Reading their policy briefly it seemed to indicate other companies had access. Failing to obtain consent first breaches data protection regulations.
