Beware!! This company is totally unreliable and unethical. They guarantee pick up within the window you give them but there is no guarantee. Just ask them what the guarantee is and they won’t answer. When they have not located a driver to pick up your car within the pick up window they will try to up charge you more money for a special guaranteed pick up. Totally unethical. Go some where else, this company is cannot be trusted!!

Had two vehicles shipped with Montway. In both situations It was a bait and switch. There is no price guarantee like they advertise. They simply require more money to release the car, and blame it on the carriers, needing more money to ship the car. they also lack the skills to coordinate effectively between shippers and transportation companies. The first vehicle cost me 400 more, according to montway bc the carrier demanded more than what was quoted. the second vehicle sat six days longer than what was guaranteed. that cost another 120 extra. Pay for a full service transporter. who arranges the coordination and includes the full shipping price up front. Montway is a typical bait and switch, with no actual guarantees at all. Pissed. They had 3 weeks to find transportation, zero communication with me the entire time unless I called them. Left me with no options as I had to leave my car for 5 months with a friend. I would never use them again.

My honest review
05/14/26
This was my first time ever shipping a motorcycle and I was extremely nervous about the whole process, especially because my motorcycle was basically in brand spanking new condition and without a scratch on it!
After searching for a reliable transporter with the highest ratings, Montway Auto Transport ended up being my choice.
NO regrets in my choice, Customer Service was there every step of the way, every time I called and eventually gave me a link so I could track the progress of my vehicle on my own.
That being said, Montway is NOT the actual Transporter, but a Broker who farms out the job to other trucking companies. I did not realize that till after the fact! I was also told that I would be receiving the actual carrier's direct phone #, which was not the case... until a couple days before my motorcycle was to be delivered. So until then, I would call Montway, they would reach out to the carrier themselves, then get back to me with an answer! It was quite frustrating.
I did request pictures of my motorcycle and the exact location as to where it was stored in a warehouse and I did receive the location and those pictures... all was fine.
I was offered the option to go pick up the bike myself from that warehouse if I had wanted to, but it was not an option for me, which was why I had to have it shipped in the first place.
Once I was finally able to communicate directly with the final carrier, AirVan, (I don't know if they were the ones who picked up my bike in the first place, but I don't think they were), I then felt a LOT better about everything. The Dispatcher was really kind and sympathetic of my concerns... and the delay in delivering my bike as I was outside of a "metro" area.
My motorcycle was delivered as promised and without a scratch on it... I felt so blessed!!!
Now, what you MUST realize , Understand, and be fully aware of is the following...
1)- Once the Carrier (any Carrier or Moving Co.) has possession of your property, you are 100% AT THEIR MERCY... you are NOT in control of anything and there is pretty much nothing you can do about it, you have to let things take their course!
2)- Do NOT expect delivery to be on time... my delivery was delayed at least twice if not 3 times from what was originally stated on the Bill of Lading. It took 24 days for my motorcycle to be delivered when it should have been within 1 week! It was picked up from OR and delivered to ID... a distance of a little over 525 miles. Carriers need to consolidate their loads to make it worth it to go into certain areas and I understand that, but.... who knows how long that could take!?!
3)- Would I ever have another vehicle transported again.... I hope I never have to, but in this case I had no choice!
4)- Would I use Montway again... Yes!
5)- Would I trust AirVan out of Boise, ID again... Yes!
6)- I am now going to repurpose a little flatbed trailer into a Motorcycle trailer, put a wheel chock in the front to secure the bike's front wheel + have proper floor and side rails for anchoring the bike, then I can transport my own bike and have COMPLETE Control over the situation, without having to rely on an outside carrier.
Being self-sufficient is the only way to go, alas sometimes you have to go to Plan B... hiring outside help and hoping for the best.
7)- One last thing... I would also hide a GPS Tracker on my vehicle so I can locate it every step of the way. Get a tracking device that will not alert anyone but you!
Final word...
As President Ronald Reagan said... "Trust, but Verify!" (RIP)

I used Montway Auto Transport to ship my vehicle, and it was damaged during transport. The damage was not present before pickup and was clearly caused while the car was in their care.
Since reporting the issue, Montway has failed to respond or take responsibility, and my claim was closed without a proper resolution. Communication has been poor, and I am left dealing with the damage on my own.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend Montway if you value accountability and proper customer service.

The coordinator was an excellent help. She assisted me throughout the delivery.

Perfect transaction from beginning to end. Communication great, price great. I moved from Utah to Texas, no issues at all. Driver was amazing. Picked up car on the 28th and arrived on the 29th. Got here before me.

Montway was eager to get my business and down payment. Once I paid-crickets!! I received no word about the progress of my transport or why there was a delay. I had to reach out myself and they let me know they were waiting on an actual driver.
The transport itself was quick and flawless once it happened 5 days later by the carrier Pepper and Pepper.

I paid a premium price and 500 extra to ensure a timely pick up. I was contacted by a towing company that they would tow my truck to a yard. I should have known rhen but I decided to drive it yo the yard on May 2 and now on May 7 I am told my truck is sitting where i left it in Tampa. They already billed my credit card for doing absolutely nothing. They are terrible.

Montway was able to quickly dispatch another company to pick up my car when the previously assigned company could not come due to some unforeseen issues. All the customer service representatives I talked with are professional and indeed look out for their customers. I would definitely choose Montway again for future needs.

I recently had a car shipped from San Jose CA to Seattle WA using your enclosed service. When I received the car the driver was very courteous and thorough. The car was in excellent shape. I would use your service again.

Montway looked great on paper: book the transport, track the car, wait for delivery. What I actually got was an interstate scavenger hunt starring my Cadillac.
Once the car was allegedly picked up, visibility disappeared. No pickup photos in the portal. No bill of lading to review. No meaningful status updates.
The contact info Montway gave me for the carrier was also wrong. The driver's phone number went to someone who did not work for the carrier. Dispatch's number went to someone on vacation. All while Montway was emailing me that they also could not reach the carrier and had no idea where my car was. Comforting.
The first direct call I got from the carrier was to say they would deliver around 10 PM. Naturally, by then the dealership was closed. So when I saw a deep scratch on the car, there was no practical way to verify anything in real time. And the only thing I was asked to sign was basically a “no damage” acknowledgment. Bold choice, given the visible scratch. I refused delivery given there was no way to document the damage and no one to call given the time.
Then came the encore. The next day, after the failed late-night delivery attempt, the carrier tried to increase the price twice. Then I was asked to go across state lines to pick up my own car from a random parking lot because the driver refused to come back to the original drop-off location. That part really elevated the experience from “bad logistics” to “light hostage negotiation."
Two stars only because the car was ultimately delivered ... you may just have to go across state lines to get it.

I was nervous shipping my cars and chose Montway. They were great and my cars were delivered across the country safely & on time. Thank you!

A simple phone call, a few simple questions, a fair quote, a short wait. Our car was delivered without incident NJ to CA. I don’t expect to need another car transported in the future, but if I did, I would go with Montway again.

They came when they said, made it seamless and the car was delivered in 3 days! They were great

I’ve used Montway three times. The first two were seamless, but the third was a nightmare. My car was transferred between carriers mid-route, and when it arrived (two days from NJ to RI), it had damage to the front bumper and side panel. Despite having video proof from the pickup location showing the car was pristine, the driver claimed it 'came that way.'
Be warned: Montway is just a broker. Once there is a claim, they wash their hands of it. I was left to fight the carrier's insurance alone. If the damage is less than the carrier’s deductible, you are left fighting directly with the transport company. Montway offers apologies but zero actual help. I felt completely abandoned when I needed them most.

In past years Montway did a good job for us. This year we booked two months in advance. They had nothing set up during the five day window. After many frustrating calls and "chats", I got a person who would give me something a week after we left Arizona but wanted $300 more. They advertise a guarantee price with no "bait and switch." There motto should be, "we deliver 250,000 cars a year, so yours doesn't matter much to us." Or, "your kidding, you want to talk to a human."
