Highly do not recommend

Highly do not recommend. Did not receive support for any of the questions I had while using this platform. After cancelling my subscription, was not informed I would need disconnect from stripe. Unfortunately I have lost hundreds with moonclerk still being linked. :/ terrible mess and their support team is zero help

Hi Madison, I’m sorry you had this experience. I just checked our support history and we responded quickly to your inquiries. When you cancel your account we have a page where we disclose that you’re recurring plans will continue to charge in Stripe even if you cancel MoonClerk. We do this because we never want to hold you, your data, or your customers hostage. We have customers who want to switch away from MoonClerk and we don’t want to cancel their active recurring plans for them. Once you cancel your MoonClerk account, we no longer have access to your Stripe account (for your own security purposes) which is why we couldn’t provide support within your Stripe account.

Spammer

They spammed my mailbox by sending the same email 3 times every week saying my card payment got declined and they will continue charging my card, there is no way of opting out. I cancelled my debit card because of fraudulent activities with my account. Stop spamming people, why do you send the same email 3 times and assume people cannot read, it’s such a nuisance. Have to block them

Hi Helen. Those emails were to let you know your card was being declined and it needed to be updated to continue service with MoonClerk so we could charge your for your monthly fee. Rather than canceling your account on the first card failure, we provide a grace of about 4 weeks with 3 emails going out to remind you. We haven’t received any complaints about those as they are transactional emails going out to active paying customers about their billing. They are not marketing spam.

Not so great for end users.

Please be aware that they make it easy for companies who use them to deny the right to cancel a subscription, and then will not engage with you as an end user.

Hi Alex. Our customers (the ones using MoonClerk to accept payments for their businesses) can choose to let their customers cancel their subscriptions. However, they can also turn that functionality off. The reason being is that many of them have contracts and therefore they don’t want to provide that ability for contractual purposes. We aren’t able to cancel subscriptions for our customer as don’t that authority.

Super easy and cheap

Been using Moonclerk for a few months now, it's everything you want in a web service - super easy to set up and configure, rock solid consistency and accuracy, and great customer support. It was easy to integrate with my Squarespace website. Credit card transactions happen exactly when and how they should, I don't need to do anything but watch the money get deposited in my account each month. I can't imagine going back to the old way of hunting people down and collecting money. It has freed up so much time. I'm kicking myself for not setting this up sooner.

Not sure why the other reviewer was complaining about price, check out Paywhirl or other recurring billing systems - Moonclerk is the cheapest option out there. No idea where he got the $500 figure - most people will pay $10 to $20 per month. No idea what he's talking about, I had to write this review to set the record straight.

moonclerk is way too expensive

moonclerk pricing adjusts based on the amount of money you are earning.... all it is is a simple form (that doesn't even look very good).

and they can charge you up to $500 a month (or more!!)

You could build an entire website for $500!!!!

That is insane.

It's a smart business idea.

If you need to start taking payments right away, this form might work in a pinch -- but cancel right away because they have hidden fees which they don't tell you about.

Hi Eric. We handle monthly billing (though we’re not the payment processor so we don’t charge the card transaction fee.) Our pricing starts at $18/month. A business would only be in the $550/month tier if they were doing $100,000 - $150,000/month in revenue. That would be three tenths to 5 tenths of one percent of the revenue. We also cover all of Stripe Billing’s fees, which are seven tenths of a percent. So, you’d actually save money over going with Stripe directly. I think you’ll find that MoonClerk is very competitive and in many cases cheaper than other billing solutions.

Great product, Even better service.

I used this service without flaw for a couple of months. It is simple and easy to use.

I made a mistake with my payments and moonclerk took less than 5 mins to respond and help me fix my issue. WOW!

Great Service!

I've been using MoonClerk for the last 6 months for my website and so far so good. I use them for their shopping cart on the front-end of my site and Stripe as the payment processor for the back-end. Not a single problem with either company. I am on MoonClerk's $9 monthly plan, and one month I completely forgot to make a payment. Instead of cutting off my service, they sent me an email letting me know a payment had not been made and to either make a payment soon, or contact them, otherwise my service might be interrupted. That was good to know. They also have very courteous customer service via email. Very pleased with this company.
