If you’re considering ordering from…

If you’re considering ordering from MosaicTile.com, I strongly recommend proceeding with caution — especially if you’re unsure about the product. What I learned the hard way is that if you’re not satisfied with your tile, you’re responsible for shipping both ways and a 25% restocking fee. That adds up quickly, and there’s very little room for flexibility.

I agree with other reviews I’ve seen online: you can absolutely find better quality tiles elsewhere for less money, and with much more accurate product representation. The photos on their site are notoriously misleading when it comes to color. I found this out firsthand — and even their own customer service admitted the color discrepancy when I contacted them. I wish I can share screenshots of my back and forth email with them to show tone of email and them admitting to how their colors online do not represent the actual product.

In hindsight, I should have ordered a sample, but I’ve had good experiences with other online tile retailers where the tiles arrive exactly as shown. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here.

Their customer service was disappointing, to say the least. When I raised the issue, there was zero attempt to offer support or a solution — just a repeated explanation that they’re a “small business” and can’t help. While I understand that small businesses have limitations, it doesn’t excuse the lack of responsiveness or accountability. This experience has made me unlikely to ever purchase from or recommend MosaicTile.com in the future.

If you’re shopping for tile online, I highly recommend these companies instead — I’ve personally ordered from them, and what you see is what you get:
• Zia Tile – Beautiful handcrafted tiles, consistently true-to-color online, and great customer service.
• Clé Tile – A large variety of unique, high-end artisan tiles. Their photography is clear and accurate.
• Fireclay Tile – Sustainably made in the U.S., and they send out free samples with detailed support.
• TileBar – Budget-friendly options and fast sample shipping. Their images are very representative of the actual product.

TL;DR: Tiles arrived looking different than shown. No help offered. High return costs. Much better options exist.

Very pleased customer

More like 4.75 stars (I don't give 5s)! I wanted a vintage look mosaic hex tile that was different from what the big box stores and "style of the day" tile stores offered, and Mosaic Tile offers a robust array of choices. I'm delighted with my selection - design, color, quality, and service. They're very responsive and warm to deal with. When my tile guy (wrongly) said I needed a few more, the company got the order put together and shipped the next day.
