Dissolved company!!! and took money day of closing

Recieved a random termination of subscritiopn email. Chased this up but the website had gone.
Along with a demand for return of hired clothes.

Chased them and Moss Bros. No response from Moss Bros. Moss Box unlimited closed every query/ticket i raised with them with no explanation.

Called Moss Bros - they said it went into administration as a 3rd party company to Moss Bros. It wasn't its been dissolved and looks like to be due to failure to submit accounts for 2-3 years.

They new in January of strike off, struck off on 9th APR 2025 then took money from people then folded 2 days later.

- I've checked it in this case, it effectively becomes bona vacantia. Ownerless property. I WILL BE KEEPING THE ITEMS AS THERE IS NO OWNER!!

Service discontinued without refund

Like the previous reviewer I've had an Email saying I've cancelled my subscription when I haven't. They took £65 from my card 9 days ago for this month but nothing provided. I'm awaiting a new box. Their website has disappeared and their customer service line has been disconnected. Extraordinary behaviour for a previously reputable company.

I’ve been a member for several years…

I’ve been a member for several years but after returning some items earlier this month they were not showing as returned. I contacted customer service via email who said they look into it earlier this month. Never hear back and sent several chases. Items still not showing as returned. Telephone number now states no longer taking calls but responding to emails promptly. Clearly not. Got an email now saying I’ve requested to cancel my Moss Box. I haven’t cancelled. I have returned all the items. I can only presume the service has ended but they cannot be bothered to tell anyone. Frankly I want a refund after not being able to use the service this month that I’ve paid for.

Poor quality

I was in moss bros today and asked them if they knew why I hadn't received any deliveries from my moss box account. They said they had been told to remove all PoS from store because it was no longer a service they offered. Strangely though when I asked moss box they had said there were delays and more deliveries would be coming. It has been 3 weeks since my last delivery when I found this out. It's like they were trying to keep customers for more payment in quite a deceptive way when there were never going to be more orders. Very disappointing

Appalling, rude customer service

So I signed up to this service through a free trial (their website loaded this automatically). After around 3 weeks nothing had been sent despite having 17 items in my 'wardrobe' which seemed odd

At this point I'd had no contact from Moss Box, no messages on my account or anything, nothing in the post, nothing by email etc etc. So I myself went to the effort of contacting them by email. I was THEN told that my account was suspended because of 'suspicious activity'. It turns out because my postcode matched with another account that had also had a free trial previously.

At no point was I contacted by Moss Box to address the issue, I suspect once my trial had finished I'd have continued receiving nothing from them but with the added bonus of paying for it.

I've since been contacted by them to say 'you're welcome to continue with our service as a paid subscriber. Lol.

Absolutely do not sign up to this service. There's 10 reviews so far and 9 of them are one star. Thats completely accurate. Their shops and website are pretty good but this particular service is not remotely fit for purpose. Dont waste your money.

I paid for 3 months and the clothes…

I paid for 3 months and the clothes only fit me once...otherwise they send what they want, not what you select... to receive what you want you have to pay £9 more

Needs major improvement

Needs major improvement - what a half-baked service!

It won’t let you enter your size and show items in that size only - why?!

You have to filter by chest size or waist size, but even then it will show jackets or trousers with sleeves that are too long/short. You should be able to enter your measurements one time and only get shown items in those sizes - I’m not growing longer arms any time soon 😅

There is no search function and jackets and trousers are in separate sections. So if I want to rent a brown suit, say, and I find a nice jacket - I have to trawl through the trousers until I find the matching set. Suits should be shown together as they are when you buy them, or at least you should be able to search for them - not trawl through manually.

I couldn’t find one suitable suit with trousers and jacket in my size. Cancelled my free trial after one day - and I still feel ripped off!

Nice idea, shocking application.

My experience with MossBox has been great

I’ve been using MossBox for over a year now and I have had a great experience with it.

At the start I ignorantly just got the 1 box of 2 items, but realised that if you ‘return item’ on the site as soon as it’s on its way to you, it will trigger a new box being prepared and will send you 2 more, so you end up with 4 items at a time.

This is useful for holidays or if you need a 3 piece outfit such as shirt, trousers, and jacket for a wedding.

I ended up breaking up with my…

I ended up breaking up with my boyfriend because of Moss Box's horrible customer service.

I know it's funny. Here's the story.

The concept behind Moss Box sounded perfect: rent clothes, try them on, and if you don't like them, just send them back and swap them for something else. I thought this would be a fantastic Valentine's Day gift for my then-boyfriend, especially since he tends to wear the same black shirt and had an important interview coming up. I imagined it would be a fun way for him to experiment with his style.

It was a Valentines gift.

And until now we haven't tried it because the gift card won't work (we emailed I think last week of Feb).

It took 100+ emails to get it sorted out (that's what it felt like). Handled by multiple people and two different departments.

Obviously when it got sorted out, the subscription is already like halfway through so I asked if we can get the start date moved to today.

Obviously we have a mistake here as well. We waited until end of Feb to reach out but I just thought the Gift Code was invalid because that's what the website said when we tried to use it.

CS said oh we can't help, it's been redeemed on Feb 16, it ends March 16.

Obv it was my ex's fault. He made a typo on the email - GAMIL instead of GMAIL.COM.

But I just thought CS would have been a bit more undersanding, they weren't.

And then I realized - not only did my ex not get me anything on Valentines day, he actually doesn't even care about this gift I gave him.

But I was just so annoyed with the lack of empathy from CS, but it also made me realize - just like Moss Box's CS - I'm probably the only one who cares.

Just another example how Customer Experience can make or break a day. And for the record - I don't care about the subscription anymore. I just really wanted to laugh about this ordeal because of how funny it ended.

Don’t waste your money

Don’t waste your money - clothes never come quickly enough, you’re constantly “borrowing” 2 items per day, and wasting time going back and forth to the post office, the website is horrible and doesn’t notify you, customer service is even worse.

What a disaster - painful at best.

This site is a disaster! I’m not sure who came up with the tech for the site as it’s abysmal. I am a first time user, the platform itself is new, and trying to search and be sent my selection. Unfortunately you can’t default your preference size for a search, yes you can filter but the filtering is a joke as it tries to pull across all garment types. This simply doesn’t work. Worse, I “prioritise” a matching jacket and trousers only to be sent an oversized jacket and a shirt with some markings. Takes 4 days to arrive. So I return the lot. Second order shipped is a better sized jacket…and a coat. Still no “prioritised” trousers - oh and by the way I’m paying for this service(!). The first shirt received, a black shirt had a white stain on it and you think I might want to buy that? Honestly?
Moss: please up your game if you want this platform to survive. I’m pretty sure MossBoxUnlimited popped up to mop up Thread customers (Thread had some serious smart AI). In contrast this is sub-standard shoddy and a waste of my time. I’m going to give the platform another fortnight but then it’s goodbye.

Keep well away from.

Please please do not use this company. The idea of it sounds great BUT they can only send 2 items at once plus you don't get to pick the exact items. You have to add a min number of items (6) to your rack then a system sends 2 items to you. I have a wedding in a week, they selected a waistcoat and trousers, no jacket ! Who wants a suit without a jacket! I've messaged them 5 days ago but no answer. I'll be pushing for my money back as this is dreadful.
