SCAM I was charged 50pence for mot check which I felt is okay but in a seconds they deducted 14.99 pounds from my account and the report is absolutely rubbish. Run ooooo

SCAM I was charged 50pence for mot check which I felt is okay but in a seconds they deducted 14.99 pounds from my account and the report is absolutely rubbish. Run ooooo
Tricked into spending £15 after the initial 50p
Be careful they keep trying to take money from your account. Steer clear
Rip off, paid 50p for a one off check then they auto enroll you in a £7.99 subscription, send you no emails or communications stating this has happened to the first you know is when your card is debited. Reporting to card company as this is fraud
It’s a bloody scam , don’t even try to click anything on there website, instead of charging 50p , they took two payments of 7.99 and 14.99 in two days .. stay away
All I wanted is to check my MOT and they charged me ( without consent) for a monthly subscription of £14.99… and there are no “ cancel” on the website! I have emailed them 4 times.
I am sure they offer competent service but I will never know because I would never use them and advise against that very much. Anyone that’s trick customers that way and sends them into a maze while taking money from them monthly! Not replying to their emails! Don’t deserve them.
I advise you to stay clear and find other places.
I went onto motcheck.com because I wanted to see my vehicle's history. I was initially charged £0.50 for a 24hr trial. While I was waiting for the report to come through I noticed that an additional £14.99 had been taken from my account. The following day a further £7.99 was taken from my account.
Having now looked into it, £14.99 is for a subscription for access to 13 MOT records per month and £7.99 is for 5 MOT records per month. At no point did I knowingly sign up for those services.
I contacted the Barclays Bank fraud department and they suggested that I speak to the company before going down the scam/fraud route. I contacted the company and it would appear that there was an issue with their website and the money had been taken in error. I have just had £22.89 deposited into my account from MOTcheck.com. all's well that ends well. I suggest others who have fallen foul to this contact the company and make sure they unsubscribe (on their website) as soon as possible.
Avoid at all costs. It is a scam and they will sign you up to things with which you did not agree.
Total con . Charge you multiple times for service not requested then make it very difficult to unsubscribe
Overcharged for a service I didn’t ask for. Tried to cancel the same day without using it but company won’t respond. Absolute SCAM. Avoid and use gov website instead
Let’s you check several cars a lot quicker then the GOV website. Just type in a new reg and boom, don’t have to ‘start over’. Which is great when you’re looking for a new car. Also you can bookmark a check to come back to it later.
