Motif has a lot of hidden fees once you…

Motif has a lot of hidden fees once you open an account (that you would never think to ask beforehand), such as account inactivity fees and a $95 account closing fee. Actually, I did not even formally close my account, I just withdrew all of the funds from it and was charged $95. When I asked why, I was told it was because my account had been closed.

In addition, their customer service team is not very knowledgeable or helpful and the professional Motifs (which they offer as ready made investment portfolios) do not perform very well. In case it's not already well-known, many investment firms offer free trades now (but not Motif). I would not recommend Motif.
