MotoBatt motorcycle short life
MotoBatt motorcycle battery purchased in 2020 and the 2 year warranty expired on 11th November 2022.
This morning the battery is dead and will not hold charge. I appreciate it is out of warranty but very disappointed for it to fail 5 weeks later. I will be going back to Yuasa.
Start off promising but don't seem to last
I bought one of these for my 2002 650 Deauville based on some reviews on forums. It's important to have confidence in the battery when going out. The model has more capacity than the one I had in before so I was hopeful but just over one year later I couldn't start the bike whilst at work, fortunately it's an auto repair centre and I had a jump start but after riding home with no lights and leaving the bike for a couple of days it's still flat as a pancake, and out of the bike takes an age to get an charge at all which quickly then disappears (within the week). I would expect several years of battery usage as I have enjoyed previously in my 20 years of riding bikes. After speaking to a few professionals they do not have much good to say about these which is contradictory to what I had initially read.
My Motobatt failed just after a year
My Motobatt failed just after a year. I bought it from ebay uk who told me it had a two year warranty.I emailed motobatt to tell them the situation. They replied that their batteries have never had a two year warranty. Been had there. Even though the battery failed only just after a year mottobatt washed their hands of it. These batteries are over hyped garbage. I have just bought a Yuasa which I have used on my bikes and had excellent service from . I am afraid I fell for all the hype
Utter garbage
Yet another motobatt battery failed why oh why are you selling this rubbish I mean come on they are absolute garbage they are not a cheap battery but lasts about a year and fails I've just put a battery I've had for 6 years and the last two of them I hadn't even charged it but your battery was on a trickle charge and it still failed I would never buy another motobatt battery and I would recommend that people avoid buying them as well you want locking up for selling faulty goods and it seems I'm not alone in my disgust for these batteries AVOID AVOID AVOID
Bought a Motobatt MBTX12U for my…
Bought a Motobatt MBTX12U for my Bonneville in June 2018, in July 2019 it failed to hold a charge, the previous Yusua battery was the original back from 2006.
Cost a lot more than a standard battery and only lasted 1/12th of the time, complete garbage.
Also, they only have a 1-year warranty, so that's £1 a week for a battery, not pleased.
