Great Honda dealership. Friendly and knowledgable. Fair PX’s n good deals on new and virtually new machines. Smashing coffee shop with great food at great prices. Buy a bike, talk bike or cafe stop on a ride. Fine all round biker destination. Bought my Trans Alp here yesterday. Couldn’t be happier.

Lovely staff and very helpful just a shame that is mainly a Honda dealership now so not as much range as before on bikes but never the less its still nice to pop in when passing.

Two weeks ago I made a journey to Motorcycle World to find out more about the Indian range .. offered a test ride on the Scout and the Chief , amazing bikes but made my decision with the excellent knowledge offered by Mervin.
Today I traded in my BMW for a new Indian Chief Bobber Dark horse !
Amazing hand over , Mervin’s team made the experience fantastic.. I am now the very proud owner of an amazing Indian chief !

Whilst I am an ex-biker (financially forced) I visit Motorcycle World as they have the best café in town! And all the staff are friendly and helpful. And whilst I sit with my amazing sausage and bacon bap and cup of proper tea you can see how attentive they are with anyone looking around. When I'm ready, its where my next bike will be coming from.

Chris on sales went to great lengths to help me during my visit to the store. He was clearly busy but still managed to help me 100% even though I had left my specific sales needs until very late in the day. The rest of the staff I met were very helpful including the guy with the Yamaha R6 who led the way out for me to find the M1 quickly even after I delayed their closing time. Many thanks, Andrew

Extremely friendly and helpful. Did not have a new part in stock for my chinese motorbike, so they dismantled and repaired the part for no charge. Not often you get service like that these days. They will always be my first port of call in future.

While on a journey from North Yorkshire to Welwyn Garden City, my wife looked up Triumph Speed Twins & this company had a 2yr old red one for sale with exceptionally low mileage & superb condition. My wife and i were treated with the upmost respect & no sales techniques were used, tried or attempted. We were given all the answers to every question & nothing was too much trouble. My wife and I found the level of service to be superb. I know all sellers are interested in making a sale, we were treated to genuine kindness without the sales pitch. It was refreshing to be treated with respect by staff who held eye contact & were knowledgeable without being condescending. A previous Triumph dealer in Chesterfield who we also stopped at, would not look at me while talking, seemed to think our questions were tedious. They had 2 1200 orange Speed Twins one new pre registered & the other used with low miles, both were the same priice £10600, but the salesman didn't know what extras were included or, what was on the bike, for us to make a comparison! No information was given only what he could see & identify from looking at the bikes. Obviously no stock or product knowledge, or if he did he wasnt going to impart it to us!The salesman walked off during our questioning as he obviously had better things to do with his time than humour us. As a result, we did buy a Speed Twin but it was from Motorcycle World llp, Northampton a few hours later. We were not looking for perfection just help but Chesterfield Triumph lost out due to a could not care less attitude. Well done Motorcycle World llp, Northampton. Jon Spencer.

I took my new bike for a heath check to which I had a call to say it had passed everything! They then took it out on a road test and damaged the suspension and the rear of the bike and fuel tank!! Originally, they admitted blame on a call but due to not being able to source the parts later retracted this and said there was an issue all along and it was wear and tear along with malicious comments by Ash, such as the bike was in poor condition and stuck together with superglue along with poor paintwork, but this was never mentioned in the conversation regarding heath check or picked up on the latest MOT!! And now the bike is a write off!! How this could be after passing a complete heath check and being advised it was road worthy is beyond me!! Also, they refused to provide me with the heath check inspection report. They tried to charge me £288 for works completed and investigating the damage they had caused! They try and charge you for jobs that you never even ask for or contact you about, they just add them to the final bill and charge £25 a day storage costs until your bike is collected.

Upon contacting Ash (who advised he owns the company) requesting their public liability insurance details I got a straight refusal, and they would not provide anything. Are they covered???

We have also contacted Ash with a SAR request and guess what!!! No response!!

Brilliant service great food. Lynn is always welcoming and makes the best coffee and breakfast rolls, as well as her home made cakes.

Lynn at the refuel coffee shop will make you feel welcome and make you the best coffee and breakfast roll in the town. Followed by a piece of one of her amazing homemade cakes..

I was introduced to Motorcycle World through friends and it's come to be one of my favourite places in Northampton. There are two floors to the building. On the ground floor there is an array of neatly presented bikes accompanied by friendly and understanding staff, educated in their areas of expertise. There is also a bike workshop here. On the upper floor there is a small motorbike gear shop and a lovely cafe run by a woman biker called Lynis. Everytime I spend time in the cafe, she knows what I want to drink and prepares the surrounding area for my laptop when I go to write. She is so welcoming and makes me feel comfortable. This is particularly important as I have autism and reasonable adjustments are made to the surrounding environment, making it more accessible for my needs.

The overall establishment is very inviting and a rather inclusive place. I would highly recommend it.

Absolutely fantastic experience every time

I have done everything from grab a tea to buy a bike and have never been shown anything but true professionalism. The team at MCW always do their best and make you feel like family. I always recommend MCW and I especially recommend Refuel Cafe found upstairs on site.

The Refuel Cafe inside Motorcycle world is top drawer. Lynis who runs the cafe is such a lovely sweetheart, always chatty, always a pleasure to see, and a hardworking lady single handedly keeping the cafe going.

The food and drinks are scrumptious and refreshing, never had a bad experience. 5 stars, well worth a visit.

Motorcycle World - Refuel Caffee the best coffee in town, great panninis and delicious deserts. Very frendly and helpfull staff.
Always when I'm in area I pop up for best coffee.

Brought a new suzuki s1000gt from motorcycle world in late may 2023.It had 22mls on the clock, i was ok with that. they put it thru the workshop before i picked it up around 4.30pm & i left northampton for cov. 8mls from dealer, i had oil pouring over my rear tyre & left boot. utterly scary & unacceptable. Shop told me to ride back to cov slowly stopping every 5mls!! They couldn't pick it up til nxt day as van driver had gone home...very poor & unprofessional service, especially as i had just spent £13k+ with them. Next day it was picked up & as i brought the pannier set @ £1200 they would assemble them & deliver both bike and panniers to me. Went to Scotland on NC500 for 9 days but 2 days before i was due home,in Inversnaid the right pannier key came out of housing locking the pann to the bike & waterproofs inside along with my phone charger lead & other stuff i needed. So i had to buy another set in Aberfoyle which cost me £70. they said they wont reimburse me. The locks on the panns should've been thread-locked/glued in but they hadn't. That is their poor workmanship & failure to read the assembly instructions properly. Also the cruise control stopped working. so, many emails later & refusals to reimbursing me, not to mention they insisted on £40 from me to pick the bike up or i ride it to them at my time & cost. Utter joke!! I put bike on trailer & took it to hinckley who have been great. had to email suzuki head of motorcycles at Milton Keynes as a last resort. Suzuki themselves have apologised & paid for another set of locks to be fitted & a free second service, which i thought was nice. Work has been done at hinckley as no bike of mine will ever go to m/c world in Northampton.
Then they had the cheek to say the head gasket had blown causing the oil leak & blaming suzuki assembly workers who built the bike!!. Laughable... M/c world has treated me like a vash cow & the excuse was a head gasket failure that caused a big oil leak.yeah right! Only compression is lost guys!!
when things go wrong you expect a business to step upto its commitments & responsibilities & put things right especially after £13k+ spent there, well not m/c world. I really do regret spending anything with them.
So suzuki have, as a goodwill gesture, sorted the bike but cannot force m/c world to do anything and so will not get involved in legal action/small claims court.
M/c world are a shoddy setup & have proven they just care about the money, not the after care service OR their responsibilities to their customers.
I will need to take them to small claims court to recover my out of pocket expenses and this includes any days wages lost.
This review is fully truthfull and factual & i urge anyone thinking of spending money at m/c world to read as many reviews as possible...i didn't but wish now that i had read what others experienced.i would've gone elsewhere.
