A TV licensing scam!!! Scammed me for £16.5 as I thought it was the real TV licensing website!!

Had no end of problems contacting both my broadband and energy supplier, by phone and a useless chat line new tariffs et cetera. Tried movemy and was able to update them much more easily than by other methods it seems that all these other companies have cut their budgets and their customer service teams and it’s a bit of a nightmare.

The chat agent I spoke to was extremely polite and very helpful I will definitely use them again if I move again

Happy with the service provided got stuck on a few things but the live chat team was very helpful and helped me through the process only took me five minutes to update all of the companies I use when moving house has saved me a great deal of time and appreciate the help will use the service again and will recommend

Just a shame why so many companies make you wait so long on the phone these days that companies like this have to come along and support such a simple thing

Charged £16.50 for a free TV Licence Move, Absolute disgrace.

For all those that need it, call their customer service number (not openly advertised this came from the T&Cs!) on 020 3600 0110.

You must also cancel the order. They should then offer you the refund within 5-7 working days.

Either way, this website should not be appearing on search engines above the TV Licence option.

UPDATE: After promising a refund, they tried to avoid sending it so I had to chase it twice before it was finally actioned.

Scam company took £16.50 and provided nothing. They made their website look like tv licensing.
Please report the to fraud uk and phishing so their websites get closed down.

I have been looking for a service like this for many years as always takes forever to inform everybod, I have update all of the following suppliers, tv licence, council tax, broadband, water and electric

All took about five minutes which is big change on what I usually have to do making many tons of phone calls or writing many letters thanks will recommend to friends

Scammers. Try to make you believe you have to pay £17 to change TV licence address!!!

It seems that many people have fallen for this scam site for changing the address on a TV licence which is a free service, and very simple to do yourself. Fortunately I had not changed the address on my bank records so the payment failed after I had put my card details in.

good website happy with the service not sure why there’s so many negative comments I’ve used them to update 7 different companies when I moved house for £30 has saved me a lot of time and effort in contacting them all as some of them i couldnt even get through to on the phone, for someone like me is busy most of the time this is well worth the fee, very happy customer will use again when I move again.

I fell for this scam, but's very easy to due to them appearing first in the search on google. This website should be taken down and the people running this should be thrown in jail.

These people haven stolen money from countless people. I have asked for refund through my bank for the £16.50 and will report back if this changed.

If anyone has been scammed by this company, you should contact you bank ASAP. I will be report this company to Action Fraud.

Conned into paying online £16.50 for a change of address on my tv licence. 2 letters in the mail, an inspector, & a threat of £1000 if I didn’t respond in 7 days . Nasty Scam.

I'm impressed with the website was easy to use support was helpful and I've managed to update all of the companies I needed to thank you will use again in future when i next move, but i hope this will be in a good few years

its a scam thought I was on the license site and had to pay 16.50 for nothing I didn't realise i thought I was on the licensing site and the bank not helpful - reported to them it was a scam - this should be taken down and stopped

Really good website for looking for a service like this for awhile I needed a bit of help but the chat was very helpful and I managed to update all of the companies I needed all I would say is a couple of companies missing from the list but I’ve managed to do most of them quickly and no issues

If i could give 0 stars i would. My missus used this scam service, not only did they charge £16.50 for nothing, they then set up netflix, now tv accounts and even ordered just eat on our bank account and have had to cancel my card twice. Do not use this company!

I think it’s disgraceful that this was the only way to update a change of address online for a tv licence when I went online. I paid £16.50 and feel this is a con. I did not realise it was a separate site. I thought it was the tv licence site

Very happy with the service provided by move my I’ve been looking for a company like this for awhile that has saved me so much time when moving house usually it’s an absolute nightmare

Only thing I would say would be to make the process even easier you could auto fill the address sections but apart from that very happy overall will recommend to friends thanks

I paid Movemy £16.50 on 26/07/2022 to change the address on my TV Licence. They advised they would do this within 24 hours. This has not happened even 3 days later. This is theft.
I have now changed the details for free but there is no way to speak to Movemy.
You can change the details for free on TV Licensing's site.
So not use this company for things that you can easily do for free.

Really happy with the service when moving house it can be stressful enough but I have managed to update all of my suppliers in one go website was easy to use and team on chat was very helpful thanks Tim
