Moventur Italy - Not refund deposit

I made a reservation on movetur Italy between 8th-23 August 2025. I made a deposit of 1.000 EUR. Until today no refund - The allegate technical issues that are never solved. I think that seems a bit strange.
Note the company Moventur debits the deposits instead of blocking it.
Until, today, despite of this long time, I didn't getback my money. I'm available to give you all information that you need for the refund - Please check the status of my Contract: MXP 1597.

deposit lost

I rented a car for 5 days in november and paid a €100 deposit as required.
The vehicle was returned on time and without any damage, yet the deposit has never been refunded.

Despite sending several follow-up emails, I stopped receiving any response.
Failing to refund a deposit and ignoring customer communications is unacceptable and represents a clear breach of contract.

I am still waiting for my money back. Not recommended.

slow …

The administrator was probably new and extremely slow. We stood in line for 1.5 hours with only two people ahead of us. As soon as her colleague arrived, the process sped up. Unfortunately, the new lady didn’t speak English well either. I hope her work pace improves.

1,500 EUR deposit not returned

We rented a car from Moventur Italy in Olbia in November last year because the rate looked good. Unfortunately, it turned into a very bad experience.

They kept €1,500 as a deposit, which has still not been returned to our account. We rentented the car from Oct. 24-Nov. 7. We have called multiple times and sent several follow-up emails regarding the deposit return, but no one responds and nothing has been resolved.

We returned the car in perfect condition and took photos at the time of return to clearly prove there was no damage at all. Despite this, the deposit is still being withheld with no explanation.

This is extremely frustrating and unprofessional. A low rental price is not worth the stress and risk of losing such a large amount of money.

Be very careful, or better yet, don’t rent from this company.

they are still scamming me out of money and putting random charges on my credit card 7 months after renting! I have contacted them numerous times and they come back with excuses and lies at each point of contact.

Deposit not refunded after 2.5 months

No issues with the car, but we have been waiting for 2 months and a half and we haven't received the 1000€ deposit back yet. They tell you that the maximum waiting time is 40 days, but that has not been respected. Their email response is quite generic and doesn't tell you much. Same for their reply here. They do not answer to the phone in Italy.
Today we decided it was enough waiting time and called the credit card company. We got refunded from MasterCard and somehow they will take the money from Moventur, as we provided enough evidence that this is a fraud.

Prepaid Rental, No Service, Aggressive Staff

Booked a car for Saturday and nobody was there. I called their number multiple times on Saturday, no answer. Called again on Sunday, no answer. Called again on Monday, still no answer.

On Monday I went to the branch by taxi, paid out of my own pocket, from Milan city centre to Malpensa. When I arrived, I was told that I was “supposed to pick up on Saturday”, even though nobody was there and nobody answered the phone.

The woman at the desk was rude from the start, poorly presented, wearing clothing that looked homeless, and began shouting almost immediately, escalating the situation instead of helping. Her behavior was aggressive, unprofessional, and borderline violent.

I booked and prepaid the full rental period of 18 days in advance. Since no service was provided, I am now doing a chargeback with my bank. Luckily, I recorded the entire interaction on my phone, including her shouting and aggressive behavior, and I will submit this as evidence. I will also share this experience on social media.

Completely unacceptable experience. Avoid this company.

Finger weg!

28.09.2025: Ich habe in Olbia (Sardinien) für ein paar Tage ein Mietauto gemietet. Vor Ort war alles in Ordnung und die Rückgabe verlief problemlos. Doch die 1000€ Kaution wurde bis heute nicht zurückbezahlt, selbst nach über 50 Tagen. Wenn man sich die Bewertungen der letzten Monate durchliest, ist dies auch eine bewusste Masche!

Update: 28.01.2026: Über Check24 und ein beantragtes Visa Charge-Back Verfahren wurde nun nach ca. 4 Monaten! die Kaution überwiesen. Das einzig Gute ist nun, dass Moventur nicht mehr direkt als Auswahl in Check24 angeboten wird. Wenn man den Filter "gute Kundenbewertungen" entfernt, kann man Moventur noch finden, aber mit dem Hinweis: "Viele Beschwerden, wählen Sie eine anderes Angebot". Somit werden zukünftig hoffentlich wenige Kunden auf diese (ich sage es mal im Klartext) Betrugsmasche reinfallen.

I rented a car in Olbia (Sardinia) for a few days. Everything was fine on site, and the return went smoothly. However, the €1000 deposit hasn't been refunded to this day, even after more than 50 days. Reading the reviews from the last few months, it's clear this is a deliberate scam!

Update: January 28, 2026: After about four months, the deposit was finally refunded via Check24 and a Visa chargeback request! The only positive thing is that Moventur is no longer directly listed as an option on Check24. If you remove the "good customer reviews" filter, you can still find Moventur, but with the message: "Many complaints, choose another offer." Hopefully, this will prevent many customers from falling for this (let's be blunt) scam in the future.

No refund and no customer service

Very bad service from the beginning until the end. Hired a hybrid car through an intermediary site and at the counter , they said that they never had hybrid cars to start off with. First red flag! Then you spend a lifetime filling out forms, including personal bank details so they can "refund " the deposit which is charged immediately and not blocked from your bank account. During the trip, an alarm signal showed up on the screen saying there wasn´t enough cooling liquid (which makes you wonder how well maintained these cars are). Fortunately I am a handy person and bought the liquid and took care of it. The person who works at the Milano Malpensa Moventur office was very impatient, rolling her eyes and borderline rude, not taking into consideration that clients are tired after flights and airport logistics. I waited til the end of my "up to 40 days" money refund to write this comment hoping I could give Moventur a 3 stars, because their prices are unbeatable, but they come with a nervous breakdown. Unfortunately my 1000 euros is earning interest in Moventur´s bank account and not mine.

Ich empfehle nach Rückgabe eine freundliche Email mit Buchungsnummer und der Bankverbindung! an deposit$moventur.it zu schreiben. Ich habe 2x nachgehakt, es wurde alles jeweils freundlich beantwortet.
