Disappointing International Experience. Proceed with Caution.
I really wanted to enjoy my experience with Movieposters.com, but unfortunately it turned into a frustrating ordeal.
While the posters that finally arrived were of decent (not great) quality, the service from the company was seriously disappointing, especially for an international customer.
I paid €25 for international tracked shipping, only to be hit with an unexpected €15 customs fee that was never clearly mentioned at checkout. Thankfully, they eventually refunded that amount, but only after I complained and spent time going back and forth via email.
On top of that, they entered my shipping address incorrectly: both the city and postal code were wrong, despite me typing it correctly at the time of purchase. Because of this, FedEx couldn’t deliver the parcel on time. I had to contact FedEx myself, open a case, and even received phone calls from them on the day of delivery just to clarify where the package should go. All of this delayed the delivery well beyond their promised timeframe.
To be clear, this was not a customs delay. It was a shipping error by Movieposters.com, confirmed directly by FedEx.
While the company did respond and refunded the customs fee, the overall experience was poor. There was no real compensation for the time and effort I had to put in to fix their mistakes.
If you’re ordering from outside the US, think twice. The products are okay, but the service, at least internationally, is chaotic and unreliable.
