Hijacked our google reserve button without permission!!!

Received a cold sales call on 12/03 from a very pushy representative insisting we sign up so customers could “book through Google.” They repeatedly claimed it was a free service, but it turned out to be only a free trial followed by a £70-per-month charge. I explained several times that we already have our own booking system and were not interested, but they simply wouldn’t take no for an answer. I eventually had to end the call.

The next day (13/03), we discovered our first booking had come through their system—despite never agreeing to anything. They had added their service to our Google “Book a Table” button, replacing the link to our own website without permission.

When I contacted them via webchat (no phone number available), I was told it would be removed but could take a few hours. I also asked to make a complaint about the sales behaviour, but was told they use “hundreds of teams” and couldn’t identify who called us. The final message I received was simply: “Your account has been deleted.”

This is unacceptable behaviour. We’re a small independent restaurant of 25 years and have never experienced anything like this. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

What you described is not the experience we want anyone to have with Movylo. We are very sorry that this happened, both for the pressure you experienced on the call and for the fact that a booking link was activated after you had clearly said you were not interested.

As soon as you contacted us via chat, we checked the account, confirmed it was only a free trial with no charge, and deleted it immediately so no further bookings could come through our system. We understand that this does not undo the frustration and disruption this caused your restaurant, and we sincerely apologise.

We also want to clarify why we asked for the caller’s phone number. We work with multiple external sales agencies, and that information would have helped us identify exactly which agency and agent handled the call so we could investigate and take action internally. That said, whether or not we were able to identify the caller, this remains our responsibility, and we fully accept that.

We are investigating internally to understand which sales partner may have acted improperly in this case. We take this seriously, because what you reported is not acceptable.

We are sorry again for the inconvenience caused to you and your team, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention.

Extremely Disappointed with Movylo ( not very professional)

I’ve been using Movylo for a few weeks now, and unfortunately, it’s been a very disappointing experience. The system crashes constantly, making it unreliable and frustrating to use—especially when you’re trying to run a business and count on automation working smoothly.

Movylo offers different membership levels—one where you manage things yourself, and another where they manage it for you. But if you choose the self-managed option, be warned: there are no clear instructions, no user guide, no PDF tutorials—nothing to help you understand how the system actually works. It feels like they’re intentionally making it difficult so you’re forced to upgrade and pay them more to manage it for you.

When I reached out for support, the experience was unhelpful and frankly rude. Customer service didn’t seem interested in resolving issues and gave no real assistance. I was especially shocked when I asked for a refund due to the system being faulty and was told it’s non-refundable, even though I’d barely used it.

At the end of the day, it feels like they charge a premium for a service that doesn’t work properly and then blame you when it fails. Very disappointed, and I would not recommend Movylo to any small business or clinic owner.

Suggesting that my experience includes “false statements” is not only unprofessional but also disrespectful to a paying customer who shared genuine feedback. Blaming the customer rather than acknowledging their concerns is not an acceptable way to handle dissatisfaction.

To clarify:

1. Self-Managed Plan Expectations
Yes, I subscribed to the £49/month self-managed plan. However, there was no basic guidance, onboarding, or documentation provided to support new users. For a self-service system, the lack of even a simple user manual or introductory PDF made the platform confusing and difficult to use effectively.

2. System Instability
I experienced multiple technical issues and system crashes, which limited my ability to engage with the platform. Just because they weren’t logged on your side does not mean they didn’t occur. I reported them but did not receive meaningful resolution.

3. Support Experience
While I received some contact attempts, the level and tone of support were inconsistent and, at times, dismissive. Expecting the user to navigate a complex platform unsupported, then blaming them for expressing frustration is poor customer service.

4. Refund Accusation
I am particularly offended by the implication that I demanded a refund in exchange for not leaving a review. This is simply not true and crosses a line in terms of professionalism. I shared my experience transparently and respectfully, and I stand by everything I said.

I believe my experience reflects a real gap between what was promised and what was delivered. Feedback—especially from dissatisfied clients—should be an opportunity to listen, not to deflect blame or make personal accusations.

You mentioned using Movylo for “a few weeks,” but your account was active for just 5 days, 2 of which were over a weekend. Despite this short time, we supported you via chat, phone, and WhatsApp—including over the weekend.

You subscribed to our self-service plan, intended for users comfortable configuring the platform independently. Although onboarding is not included in that plan, we called you multiple times, answered your questions, and responded promptly across multiple channels.

You reported “constant crashes,” but no technical issues were documented or reported with screenshots or videos. Our system showed your account was working correctly, with integrations like your website, Google, Facebook, and AI chatbot properly connected.

As stated in our terms, Movylo is a digital, non-refundable service once activated. However, we encouraged you to continue using the platform for the remainder of your paid month.

To be transparent, here is the chat log from those 5 days so others can form their own opinion:

Movylo: Can you tell us what you can do with Wix and can’t do with Movylo?
E: Wix gives me full control over my website. Movylo is useful for automating communication, promotions, loyalty programs. My goal is to bring patients to my services and promote online programs. I’d like advice on frequency of campaigns.
Movylo: You’re absolutely right—Wix is for websites, Movylo is a marketing engine. We’ll ask a colleague to schedule a setup call.

After lots of frustration

After lots of frustration, I'm finally feeling like I understand the App. With the help of your staff I've been able to better understand it & better set up. This app was purchased via a vendor. Please if you're going to sell through vendor, make sure they are educated on the program. My vendor had no knowledge of how it worked. It was very frustrating at the beginning. I hope that with yesterday's help, this will finally go well for me.
