Bought an 8TB Ultra-Speed External SSD Hard Drive from Moxtons. Turns out these drives are bogus tech. Although windows recognised the drive & showed it had copied data successfully, in reality it only reords the index all your data never moves. Had drive taken apart by tech expert & all it has inside is a small PCB with 2 128gb (Total 256GB) micro SD cards. Tech guy said you cant get more than 8TB even now & would be looking at £ 800 approx.
So was too good to be true & should have known better.
Martin Saville - Moxtons rip off
Martin Saville, same story here, now the woman doesnt even reply to emails and cant ring them either!!! I ordered mine in August!!!! Minus 10 rating is still to high
the company is a fraud..
the company is a fraud... I advise everyone against any purchases from this company... they sell Chinese crap... you can't contact them and if you manage to return the product they don't give your money back. fraudsters and thieves
3 months and still waiting
This place doesn’t even warrant 1 star. I ordered an external hard drive at the start of November and never received it. The customer service is useless and when they do finally contact you it is usually to ask to wait longer.
I asked for our money back and received an email to say that at a loss to the company they are re-sending the hard drive. Unsurprisingly, we never received that either. Now I get no reply and the site shows as currently unavailable.
I guess we have lost our money. FYI, if something seems to cheap compared to other reputable brands and products, it’s probably for a good reason. Lesson learnt
Avoid this company at all costs
Ordered a external hard drive back in September and I'm still waiting for it.
Emailed them a couple of times and got 0 response. Absolutely sick and tired of scheming people
Bad Company to buy from
Like a lot of people i was told my delivery would be delivered before christmas and as of 25/01/2025 im still waiting ive contacted Moxtons a few times now but with no response. ive rated them one star but there not even worth that, And to top it all off the youse evri to deliver who are just as bad.
Products give viruses
I ordered a 2 terabyte storage device back in October. I had small liasons with the company, I asked for a refund as it was around the middle of November and I was just tired of waiting, I was told I would receive it in 3 days. The customer service told me it was because of Christmas and I would receive it in the next few days. Another lie, I received it after Christmas. Not just that it put a virus on my computer. Lesson learnt not to buy from shady websites.
Absolutely scammers
Absolutely scammers, Ordered in Oct and contacted them to get emails goods will be dispatched. Never arrived. Site not available
Set of scammers
I ordered an SSD from them in December and it never arrived. They are just a set of scammers as others have suggested.
Their website is currently down.
Need Arresting
Same as all the other reviews. Ordered a 4Tb drive on 22nd October at the cost of £33.29. These guys should be arrested.
Moxtons are Scammers
Company? what company, they don't exist, this is a scam, i ordered two hard drives from them, in early November they said they were posted and so far nothing has arrived, they don't answer their texts or emails, do not buy anything from this rogue unit as you will not receive it, lots of other people have had problems with them too... Strike them from Trustpilot.
Still trading, still scamming. Still conts.
0 stars if I could. They are scammers and will continue to scam anyone that falls for the advert that appears on Google searches.
Thanks Google.
Steer clear and
stay safe.
Definitely scammers
Definitely scammers. I have raised this with my bank and I have done a charge back. I have also reported them to trading standards which I encourage all should do. Hopefully these jokers are caught. My refund has arrived so Im just pleased about that. Funny enough they are no longer operating.

This disgusting bunch of thiefs are basically mugging people using technology. I orderd SSDstorage 2 months ago never turned up .Never bothered to reply to emails, Their phone number in Glasgow just says "Answer phone is full" .Literally hundress of people since October have been robbed by Two Asian men that used to run a run down games shop .They should be arrested as they must have made thousands of pounds. And yet Their page is still up and running via FB and other platforms.Shocking

SHOCKING service still not received an…
SHOCKING service still not received an item ordered back in early October. Absolute thieving scammers. How do these firms get away with it????
Do not use - scam company
Ordered a hard drive - Moxtons delayed sending it forever six weeks or so - only sent it when I initiated a cancellation - sent through Yodel and took another two weeks to arrive - when it did it was cheap Chinese rubbish that was nowhere near the specification advertised - sent it back recorded delivery - they’ve delayed giving a refund and are now disputing return of the hard drive.
I am now recovering money through my bank and start8n* legal action through the local Trading Standards Officer. I’m coming for you Moxtons and I won’t let it go.
1 star is far too much for this bunch
1 star is far too much for this bunch. I’m not usually fooled and I normally check Trustpilot before buying. Was so excited at the price 😢. Just lost £30, fobbed off with 2 replies, saying delayed. 2tb hard drive never turned up, has been a month now. Not getting any replies now as I am demanding a refund 😂, as if ………. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!
