My Son and I have been Master Gayle's students for many years and within the PUMA Group for even longer - both of us from White belt to Black belt. The whole PUMA family is very inclusive, welcoming and training is the perfect way to learn new skills, discipline and Traditional Taekwondo self -defence. I recommend Master Gayle's schools for all ages, size & abilities -
Who needs the Gym membership when you exercise and learn a martial art for less.

I have been part of Mrgmartialarts -Puma TKD this time for past 2 years after absence from the art for over 8 years. I came back due to the quality of the teachings and the great welcoming and friendly atmosphere from the highest level black belts through to lower grade students.
I have studied with other arts and masters but Master Gayle teaching methods and overall personality has been one of the best I have experienced and it shows in his other senior black belts.
The way the teach young pumas is another thing that impresses me as you can see children enjoying the sessions learning aswell as having fun.
Overall happy with my decision to return and would recommend these schools to anyone young or old.

Definitely a fantastic instructor with courage to helping everyone learn at their own pace.

If you want to train under taekwondo, I would highly recommend anyone to come join the lessons. Give it a try and see if it works for you.

In the classes, you'll likely do some warm up exercises, stretching, pad work, patterns, sparring, self-defence, fun activities, etc.

However keep in mind that every class won't be the same and probably do some other activity.

Training in these classes makes you gain respect but also become disciplined, if your shy, you'll eventually become confident, as in my experience I was when I first joined.

You don't have to pay for your first lesson and have polite students who train under Master Ray Gayle, who are very welcoming and friendly.

When I first joined the classes, I was taught the first pattern which was really confusing but along side the teacher was patient enough to help me understand and take the time to help me learn it, no rush was given or said.

If you ever have any questions regarding anything definitely don't hesitate to ask Master Ray Gayle, he will give you the answer to what your looking, this can include self defence, kit, or any other general questions.

We are sending our daughter to Master Gayle Taekwondo for last two years and I am very pleased with the way she progressed. Lot of improement in areas like fitness, discipline and being active. Besides these, my daughter loves to attend the session every week with loads of excitement. She has been through few grades already and we can see the progress clearly.

Master Gayle is plain and simply - awesome. My son has been attending Taekwondo since he was 4 and he is 14 now. He has leant so much not just about technique, but essential life lessons and generally how to be an all round good person. Master Gayle is excellent teaching both youngsters and also adults. His classes are attended by all levels of student, but he has many numerous highly qualified people he calls upon in his absence. My 14 year old loves attending these lessons and it is never an issue getting him to go😀

Master Ray Gayle has been teaching Taekwon-do in Yate for nearly 40 years.
Master Gayle is an approachable, friendly and caring Instructor who strives to always ensure that individual students are reaching their potential, whatever their potential may be.
He has a great sense of humour and is able to relate to each student he meets.
His classes involve traditional and free style aspects of Taekwon-do ensuring that students get an all round learning experience, using his many years of Teaching and Taekwon-do knowledge. Kids classes are fun whilst maintaining discipline and learning. Adult classes are enjoyable whilst working up a sweat and learning new skills.

Master Gayle really does strive to put the student as the most important part of the package and this really shows in his classes.

I started training at Master Gayle’s school when I was 7 years old. I’m now 35. He has been there for me throughout and I wouldn’t be the person I am today without him. I have been a world champion, I’ve owned my own school, that he helped me set up.. and most importantly- I’m happy. Go to a class, it will change your life.

I have 2 children who attend sessions. They have both attended since they were 4, (now 9 and 11). They absolutely love going along and taking part. All teachers are amazing, the children really look up to them as role models. Cannot recommend enough

I started with Master Gayle and PUMA in 2016. I became instantly hooked on Taekwondo and wanting to better myself. The classes offer a mix of everything and having the pleasure of being taught by Master Gayle or any of the other instructors within PUMA is an experience any budding martial artist should strive for. Their knowledge and experience is endless and they always want to help you improve. I currently attend up to 3 classes a week, but if I could, I would do more, as I am fully in love with Taekwondo and that is a testament to Master Gayle and PUMA.

I started Taekwondo 2 years ago with Master Gayle. As a 55 year old female with no experience, I felt way out of my league however Master Gayle is an excellent instructor. The classes are hard physically but the rewards are fantastic. I am stronger in body and in mind. I am now approaching the next grading for my blue belt and am so proud of my achievement. This would not have happened without Master Gayle. He is an amazing instructor using encourage, humour and patience to get the best from his students. I attend twice a week and this is now integral to my being. I am so glad I found Mr G!
