The part didn't show up for three days beyond when they gave the date/time of delivery. When the mower deck arrived, it was bent to the point of bending it back would have broken the weld. The deck was also missing paint. Customer service told me to send pictures, but every time I did, "mailbox is full" message was returned. Several more calls to CS and no return calls. Finally someone said they got the pictures and would call me back the next day. They never called. I called again and they said they DIDN'T get the pictures. In other words, I got a complete run around. I still don't have a functional part and now have had to dispute with my credit card company. NEVER BUY PRODUCTS FROM MTD!

MTD Kitchener Canada give excellent customer service.
I was shipped two snow thrower wheels that were covered under a "Recall"!

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. PAID EXTRA FOR SHIPPING THE NEXT DAY NEVER RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION NUMBER. CALLED AND NOW THEY SAY DON'T HAVE A CONFIRMATION NUMBER AND WON'T RECEIVED UNTIL NEXT WEEK.

The dumbest people work here and their shipping department is a disaster!!!

Ordered a Lawn mower via Walmart. When it arrived I could not put the handle together, normall one just lifts handle tightens scews and it is ready to go. On this mower only 1 side of the upper handle was put together properly. Company sent me extra scews, later I find that on one side of that handle the scews will not fit, because the holes were not drilled or made large enough. That was the reason they did not complete the final assembly at the factory, they just shipped an inferior product to the customer in a hurry. Now they want me to take the mower I had delieverd to my home to a dealer for repair, wasting my time and effort because of poor and lazy quailty control. Told them I would no longer purchase anything from them.

MTD has disastrous after-sales service and refuses to replace or even pay for the repair of the machines it sells when they arrive at your home out of order. If you do not want to spend your savings in vain do not buy from them!
