I started a trial period for the given service, but when I noticed that another application had already charged my card for a subscription, I canceled all active subscriptions with immediate effect.
Despite this, my bank card was charged again after the trial period expired. Important circumstances are that:
- I did not receive any confirmation email about the activation of the subscription,
- I cannot find any notification about this subscription among my emails,
- I already canceled the subscription during the trial period.
I requested a refund through Apple customer service, but I received the answer that the given transaction was “not eligible for refund”.

I tried to buy / access a single sheet music score and unexpectedly ended up with a Premium subscription. The interface makes it very easy to unintentionally activate a recurring subscription when you think you are paying for a single score.
This seems to be a common complaint – many users report the same experience online.
After noticing this, I immediately cancelled the subscription and contacted support. They confirmed the cancellation, but there is still a pending charge visible in my PayPal account that I want clarified.
Support has asked me to submit a refund request form, which I have done. I am currently waiting for confirmation that:
the subscription is fully cancelled
no further payments will be attempted
the charge will be refunded
If MuseScore resolves this properly, I will update this review.

MuseScore is nothing but a SCAM. Their sheet music is garbage and if you "buy" something, you get enrolled into their $90.00 every three months "subscription" and you will not know this until its charged to you credit card. AVOID THIS SCAM.

Musescore score offers an excellent service, and I’m happy to pay. However, their subscription process needs a review. I believe it’s deliberately designed to make it difficult to unsubscribe.
Subscriber beware! Unless you log into the account in a web browser (not the app!) Your subscription will automatically renew on a yearly basis.
A lot of tech companies seem to do this. I believe it’s deception. Automatic renewal be should be something that you opt for when you sign up.

I signed up for a free trial and specifically declined any other offers only to find that I was charged 80 dollars for services I did not request. I've never experienced an app that felt so deceptive. It's been a very stressful experience.

Signed up for a free trial when my kid needed a sheet of music for school. They charged my card $44.99 days later for a 3 mo subscription. It's unclear how to cancel. Even after cancelling, it appears the date the subscription will end happens to allow for the possibility of their billing for the next period, which is $59.99. My bank recommended cancelling my credit card, getting a new one.

Purchased some sheet music, turns out a subscription of 60 euros per 3 months got activated without me knowing it. After they took my money I canceled it, but somehow it remained active. This shit cost me 120 euros already. Sneaky thiefs.

Horrifyingly bad customer service. Even with a paying subscription, I bought something by mistake, requested my money back within 5 minutes, after 4 e-mails I still have no answer and I will not be getting one. Unfortunately it's a scam website, I found out too late and now I am sadly supporting them with my 1 year subscription. Do not use this website!

I purchased one piece of sheet music for $1.05 and then they started charging me $47.99 for 3 months subscription and then $63.99 for a total of $111.98 for a service I didn't even know they had put me on. I never consented to any subscription service and it was a coincidence I even found it as I saw the charge on my credit card bill (a message was in my spam folder from Musescore thanking me for my subscription). I've been emailing their support email for a full refund with no response - I never agreed to any subscription, I bought one piece of $1.05 sheet music. They don't even allow me to remove my credit card info from their site. Stay far away from this company. I will be reporting them to regulatory agencies for predatory and deceptive practices, and will be posting these warnings everywhere. I see from the comments and reviews that I am not alone.

DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE! If you order one piece of music they automatically sign you up for a $50 subscription that isn't even a yearly subscription, it's every 3 MONTHS. They are a scam company that tries to get money out of you. They charged me $100 for nothing I got no sheet music and never used the "subscription."

I purchased a score at full price because I was careful not to subscribe to the annual plan. After trying to view my score, i somehow accidentally subscribed to a pro+ membership. It says on the emailed receipt that they'll charge me after 7 days but the charge was already taken off my the card immediately. Not to mention, i still cant find/access the score I paid for. It will charge any card thats saved in your Google account without your permission. The refund request form obviously doesnt work so I emailed them and they said to fill out the email request form. I told them it didnt work, but they havent responded. Im going to report them to the BBB and my bank and wherever else I find that might be helpful if i dont get a refund by tomorrow, and will update this review accordingly. I hope that more people check trustpilot before doing anything on that site. Its perfectly set up to scam people and nothing more. They respond to trust pilot reviews to make them look like they care to the public but they don't respond to my email or message in their online chat. What a shame.

This review applies to the website, not the notation app which is excellent . The sheet music website is best avoided as it make it difficult to cancel, particularly if you let your credit card expire. You cannot delete your credit card as they insist you keep one as default. Also, never buy official scores from the website- the cost on top of the Pro subscription is more than buying from any music publisher, and normally you can’t download it to the app or print it!!
