Music for Functions Reviews 

I can't recommend these guys enough! We were nervous about picking the band for our wedding as we both feel that if the music is not great, it is difficult to get the party going. These guys were recommended to us and as soon as we contacted them, they were responsive and helpful which put us at ease. Our requirements were a bit complicated because there was only a very small window in which the band would be able to set up so they needed to do an initial set up, and then clear their stuff away while the guests had dinner and then re-set up quickly after the meal. Nothing was too much trouble - they took the time to understand the factors involved and adapted their normal routine to fit.

They tailored their set and learnt some new songs for us. Best of all they learnt our first dance which, due to the song we had picked (Carlos Santana) we were not expecting them to learn because it was so tricky. Everyone was up dancing throughout the whole evening (all generations). Loads of people have commented on how good they were and we had the best time. They also do a properly mixed Spotify playlist so there was no point when we didn’t have music.

Our timings were very off on the day and we ran over an hour late, rather than shortening their time playing they played later which meant a lot to us.

Basically – best band ever!

Smokin' Jacks were incredible. I had a ball and so did my guests. The dance floor was packed from start to finish. I didn't want the party to end. The band were so enthusiastic and versatile. They played what I wanted but also had some great ideas to keep the party swinging. It was a fun night!!

I was in charge of the music at my sisters wedding and decided to book The Smokin' Jacks. We couldn't have picked better, we had the best night! Not only are they all super great musicians, they are also wonderful people and are really great to have at your party. It was a pleasure dealing with Paul in the run up to the wedding, all communication went smooth, he was very helpful and understanding.
On the night music was really good and we had all our guests dancing to it from beginning to end!! My sister was happy, and so was I. I would definitely book them again, maybe even for my own wedding!

I hired the Smokin’ Jacks for my 30th birthday party. My main motivation for choosing them was that they had a reputation for getting everyone dancing by the end of the night - I’m glad to say the ‘Jacks didn’t disappoint! We had about 80 guests at the party and not one was sat down once the band got started.

The choice of songs was great with everything from '60s Rock n' Roll classics to contemporary chart music. I was also impressed with how quickly all the equipment was set up and then packed down at the end of the night. A slick operation indeed! Paul, the 'Jacks singer and guitarist was an absolute pleasure to deal with and very helpful in organising all things musical for the evening.

I’ll definitely be hiring them again!
