Five Stars to Rodney Kalb and Mutual of Omaha. Late last month we received our initial funding from our reverse mortgage. I had many questions since I was about to attach a mortgage to our debt free home. Rodney helped me to understand that the process was safe. This is supplementing our income during our Golden Years.

Rodney Kalb did a tremendous job for us. Especially for me, the wife, who basically questioned everything. He was patient, thorough, and was instrumental in walking us through each “bump” we encountered. He is a five star guy for sure. Thankful he put up with us so gracefully. 🤗

Matt was very professional, extremely informative, and focused on us as clients. There were unexpected changes that we needed to respond to. Matt quickly pivoted and helped us access a solution that meets our needs. Very grateful to Matt for his persistence, patience, and resourcefulness.

Billy Crawford always made me feel safe and gave me good directions when i had a question or was uncertain about some of the documents. This was a once in a life time experience for me and i know i made the right decision to be able to stay in my home.

Working with Kim on our HECM was great! I spent a long legal career working in title insurance and RE closings, so I have perhaps more knowledge than the average borrower, and it was great to work with someone like Kim, who could advise us on a fairly sophisticated level, matching her expertise to our understanding. Disappointed after closing. Not happy with lack of customer service.

UPDATE; As of today, 3/18/26, I am still not satisfied with the lack of customer service. After closing on Jan 31, I am still left with questions on where to find information. An agent named Vanessa Pineda reached out to me and left me hanging! I sent her an email with no response to my questions. MOO actually told the BBB I was satisfied with their actions. I AM NOT. I have been given about eight different phone numbers to call that all circle-jerked me back to the starting point where NO ONE WILL HELP ME! I sincerely regret choosing this company and recommend others to choose a different provider.

Very amazing Rodney and Angela answered every question. Kept in contact a few times a week. Made sure everything went smooth and easy.
I would recommend them 100 percent.
Made the whole process very easy.

Working with Peter Marcus was a pleasure. He was there every step of the way. Explained everything throughout the process. Would highly recommend him!!!

Rodney Kalb and Angela Thomas are the dynamic duo! I had a lot of questions and things to deal with in order to get this loan but, these two did all the work and it came together perfectly. Rodney and Angela called me to keep me apprised of each step and explained everything. I spoke with these two so much I think we are bffs now. Can't imagine this process without the wit and humor of Rodney.

I'm giving this experience 5 stars mainly because the process finally yielded the positive result I was anticipating when I started the process 6 month earlier. There were many ups and downs, many hurdles to clear and mountains to climb. At one point, I was ready to throw in the towel. The most saving grace of all was the assistance and encouragement I received from Chris Nguyen. He was patient, kind, listened to my rants (!), explained, laughed with me, spent time talking me through the recent death of my cat, and he was quite well versed concerning the in's and out's of of the requirements I had to meet. Without Chris, this would not have happened. Without Chris, I would probably have rated this process a 2. I'm very grateful that #1: it's over. #2: I can now pay ALL my bills, buy the new refrigerator we so desperately need, and not worry about where my next meal is coming from. #3: Go to Finland.

George was very helpful.  He answered my questions and walked me through each step.  He was patient and made sure I had everything I needed & followed up to make sure I understood the stages and process. 

My experience was one of complete confidence and trust in the professionals that assisted me from start to finish, primarily Mr. Kenneth Wood and Amanda Royer. I felt an immediate connection to Mr. Wood as he was first to reach out by phone shortly after my inquiry into Mutual of Omaha for my HECM.
I had already felt God led me to Mutual and from start to finish was at peace with the process and especially with Kenneth and Amanda guiding and helping me .

While living quietly and trying to manage my home and property myself with the daily challenges of lifelong lung disease, it was so very important that I had people who were not only highly competent but who had patient understanding of my needs.
Amanda and Kenneth became almost like good trusted friends and I looked forward to their communications.. God certainly blessed me with the best!

I’m so very thankful to God and to Mutual of Omaha for the blessing and privilege of having this opportunity of a reverse mortgage, and will seek to maintain and use it wisely.

No one could truly know the physical demands and challenges I face daily and have all my life but in these past several years it’s been particularly stressful both physically and financially. I’m humbled, relieved and grateful for this process to have gone through completely , beginning with the first phone call inquiry on November 19 and ending with the closing in my home on February 2 , 2026.

I know the financial stresses being lifted will have a very positive effect on my physical health going forward giving me a better quality of life God willing; to better serve Him in however small or seemingly insignificant ways, even if just to be a better steward and caretaker of the home He has blessed me with.
