My husband and I have spent 2 hours trying to get on MyGov.
We both own businesses speak English.
I feel for people who don’t speak good English, or the elderly that struggle with computers then you have the homeless, what about them.
It is an embarrassment to Australia for us to have such an unprofessional system.
It is absolutely not user friendly!
Extremely disappointed to get in myGov
I needed to get into my gov to get my Medicare details as the Medicare app is closed down. I’ve wasted hours trying to get into myGov. And still not in. Absolutely useless system and I’m reasonably tech savvy. How would old people ever get into their information out othis system is beyond me.
Nothing but problems & convoluted process
Login issues with code supplied via phone, My ID is even worse, as it doesn't work when it's stock standard without an array of id. Locked out of your account? Recovery is near impossible - you'll be on the phone for ages. Making a new account is impossible without accessing your old account. How are essential services to access your own information this bricked? This whole system needs work from the ground up. 😡
Failed Attempt at Writing an Important Program
A complete nightmare written by learner programmers as a draft at best. A great way to waste a few days of your life navigating their endless loops. You need a crystal ball to work out how to proceed on to the next screen. When you phone them, they employ staff to sympathise with those who wrote it saying it is to combat scammers.
Broken Website – Passwords and Passkeys Both Fail
The myGov website and app are a complete mess. Logging in is a constant nightmare, the system cannot recognise the correct password, and the reset process doesn’t even work. To make things worse the passkey login option doesn’t function properly on the website or on iPhone which just adds more frustration. You end up stuck in endless loops of failed logins, resets, and error messages. For a platform that’s meant to be the central access point for essential government services, the experience is outdated, unreliable and far below the standard Australians should expect. Needs to be fixed asap

This App/website is hopeless. i can't access anything im owed because the website is always either down, not providing up-to-date contact information or requires numbers I no longer have access to, you would think to remedy this you could provide a quick solution to update this contact information providing secret answers or email...but nope. please fix this website as the reviews speak volumes to the level of service we are all receiving both Australians and foreigners.
Our taxes at work!
At random times my gov decides it no longer likes the password that has worked numerous times and locks me out. It then doesn't allow me to reset anything as no reset code is ever sent to my email or my mobile (why??) I literally just completed my tax return without changing any log in details, so there is no reason for this to be an issue. Why can't governments ever get tech right??? My Gov should sack its IT team. I understand the need for security but users ought to be able to USE it. Tomorrow I am going to physically go to my Federal MPs office and make them fix it. My gov is too hard to communicate with. Try to phone them haha!

Trying to set up a digital ID..MyGov wanst a driver license number,,I no longer drive..Want a medicare card I live overseas so don't need and expire

It's unacceptable not to provide offline 2FA methods, like TOTP and FIDO2.
