Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I have contacted them so many times with different customer service, never one time they can address my problem. Usually long waiting time without valid reason and you have to keep following up with want you want which is long journey of pain. Every step they make it took long time, for trading platform if they blocking you which means you may suffer loss. Even in chat, you have to wait long time for their reply. Recently I was trying to transfer out my asset to another platform because of their terrible customer service but it failed due to some technical issues but questrade already closed my account so I requested to open it because the transfer is already failed and I have confirmed to cancel the transfer but they refuse to reopen the account immediately and said it takes 5 days to cancel the transfer and reopen the account but I told them that I already confirmed to cancel the transfer you can reopen it immediately or I will suffer loss but they refused and said they need to follow the procedure even if I told them that there's nothing to do from questrade side because the other side already confirmed it failed and if they don't reopen the account immediately I may suffer loss, they just ignored me and cut me off

Their website UI is so bad

Their website UI is so bad, I had to install their APP on a phone, just to buy 2 shares!!!? It's like they intentionally hide their BUY button! It's idiotic how they won't spend money to test their illogical unintuitive and convoluted User Interface. And they charge some of the highest exit fees as they know people will want to leave as soon as they can. Shame!

QuestTrade or WorstTrade ?? My vote is for the latter.

I wrote an unflattering review of WorstTrade (oops! Questrade) yesterday Jan 19th. After trying for three days to get in touch with customer service, finally on the third day (after two attempts early in the day) and after waiting on hold for 1.5 hours late in the evening, I finally got the answer from the agent regarding my RIF payment. She said that the money was already taken out from my account and during the night it would be deposited into my bank account. By morning (Jan 20th) I should see it in my account. This turned out to be total BS as the day is now over and I have yet to see the money in my account. My WorstTrade account shows that the money was removed on Jan 12th. Today is Jan 20th. In comparison my other bank promptly deposited my RIF payment as scheduled i.e. on Jan 15th. Hasslefree. Currently, I am again waiting on hold for 30 minutes now. It's the same tired old story i.e. higher than normal call volume blah blah blah.
I am willing to bet I will hear the same message next day, or next month and maybe even next year - it does not matter when you call. Such a waste of time dealing with WorstTrade.
And this is for Questrade: Please do not offer empty cookie cutter apologies as they don't mean anything. Give me good service NOT empty apologies. It just annoys me more.

Great Canadian Broker

I have never switched brokers because I have had great experiences with Questrade. Customer service is also very helpful

ANSWER THE PHONE

I have been with Questrade ( money in Questwealth) for six years. Back then the phone was answered on the third ring. Now it's a minimum of 45 minutes to yesterday at two hours. I used the callback feature which suggested 45 minutes, not two hours. When the call came, the employee wanted to send me an email security number. I said to text it to me, which he said couldn't be done because the call came from him. They just laid off 100+ employees. Could they not have retained a few to answer the phone? I see other posts with the same complaint. Business comes from somewhere and corporate negligence will send it elsewhere. Put me down as one pissed consumer of Questrade and Questwealth.

Questrade's service is excellent

Questrade's service is excellent.
If you are a begginner self-investor,Questardeis a great option. Their staff, especially Matthew T,is incredibly patient,attentive,knowledgeable,and provides all the information I need. He also assists with trading fee and explains the withdrawal rules for RESPs and RRSPs.
Questrade offers a great opportunity to learn investing while managing your own portpolio.

Horrible!!!!!!!

Pros:
-Nice interface on Questrade Edge
-Improved customer service from before: When i started using them they didn't even record the conversations and gave me a run around without actually solving any problem. Now they at least claim that they record the conversation for customer service

Cons:
-They billed me over 4 grand for data fees that I didn't want then they said its my responsibility. They were unable to categorize me correctly. So if you do use them make sure to check your fees on a monthly basis. Since they don't disclose it when your clicking it and you need to check the backend
-They didn't exectute my market order recently, it says accepted but it does not go through until a couple mins later.
I called in and as expected they were completely useless in providing proper answer. They tried to argue that its because there are no bid and ask when the price was moving fast but daily volume is 4 Million.
-Connectivity issues even though my internet is working fine. Sometimes it just shuts down and wont let you log back in for a couple mins.
-No timestamps for the downloaded CSV
-They charge 400% more for options trading, that's after you already pay monthly, don't use this broker for options.
- They recently added trading view integration which is completely dogsh*t. They wont let you move orders there with mouse, every time you have to cancel them and put them back in with the order window

November 12th 2024: broker is not working stop loss not respected and are not executing, bracket order stuck on pending and no way to cancel it. Cant get out of position.

Bad experience of Registration with Questrade Inc,

People who lives in the middle east have to be very careful while opening account an with this company. They advertise that i.e. they support customers lives in Qatar, but are very slow in processing, customer service is very weak, there policies and procedure for new account is not clear even to their staff. Unlike other companies they need hard copies attested identification only from there agent who is very expensive and he is only authorize to sent by mail to Quest office. He charge very high amount. After that they come up with some new clauses/terms and questions which are not originally existing in there terms and conditions. Means it is tough to satisfy them. Hence in my case I lost a lot of money for registration but at the end was unable to complete the process, but his agent made money. In todays modern technology, in most cases, hard copies are eliminated from the system. This is the initial stage, believe me or not it will be tough to handle them after you start business with them. Hence I suggest people to avoid them and go for other company. Do not trust Questrade Inc.
