Excellent Student Halls
I had a great experience in this accommodation. It was within an excellent location to the university and I felt genuinely cared about by the staff that worked there.
Great accommodation
Having stayed at this accommodation for a while now the best thing about it its price for the location it is in. 5-minute walk away from shops such as Lidl, Tesco, Poundland, café Nero and Superdrug. The universities are a 10-minute walk if not then only a few bus stops away. With it just being off the curry mile, there are an array of food places to try out while staying here.
My favourite feature about this accommodation is that it has washing machines within the kitchen. Accommodations tend to have circuit laundry and after a while the cost can add up. The rooms itself is very spacious with a lot of storage. The staff are extremely friendly and approachable.
BEST ACCOM FOR STUDENTS :)
I spent my first year at university and miss court and I couldn’t ask for a better place to make me feel comfortable moving to a new city . Right off the curry mile you have endless palaces to eat and are a minute walk from Lidl which saved me being able to do such a cheap food shop and actually being able to walk home with my shopping. It is only a 15 minute walk to uni and has everything you need around you without needing to travel such as places to eat like subway , Tim hortons for breakfast and tescos for your convenience items.
For the price you cannot complain one tiny bit !!! With my room I received a really big room with a double bed and plenty of space to study . If anything needed fixing it would be fixed the next day with no issues whatsoever. There is also a big car park for people living in the accommodation which was a live saver as I got to keep my car safe and new it was secure at all times . All the staff are lovely and make you feel so welcome from the minute you arrive including the receptionist who are able to keep your packages safe if you are not in to collect them.
I highly recommend moss court for any year of study as there is a mix of students from all years but everyone is still able to get along and we’re always so lovely . It is in the perfect location and has the best price out there with everything you could possibly need . I recommend to everyone:) I was always very nervous and unsettled about moving to uni and being in a new city but the minute I walked through the doors all the worries went away I felt so comfortable and already felt that I belonged there.
Student focused and safe environment
Reasonable prices, parents happy, good size modules, respect there property , good freebies, good comms from Johnathan. A first class student accommodation. Dylan and Buena .
Couldn't ask for a nicer environment to live in during my masters!
Since moving into Moss Court in September for university, I have experienced nothing less than an amazing quality of service. When something in the flat is damaged, not working properly or simply needs a little clean/touch up, the maintenance team are quick to reply to emails and set up a time and date in order to resolve the problem. The general managers are lovely to speak to, address concerns quickly and are also available for a quick chat when you're not feeling the best and need someone to talk to. The team are clearly dedicated to what they do and making the lives of students that much more comfortable, whilst keeping prices of the accommodation in line with others around Manchester in order to deliver a fair and affordable price of living whilst being a student. I couldn't of decided to live in a nicer environment and I am thankful for the kindness and experience of living at Moss Court!
A very good accommodation!
I stayed in Moss Court during my 2nd year of uni and my experience was amazing honestly!
The staff is super friendly, every week day they’re on site and always very quick to help with any issues we had. The accommodation has a good level of security and the buildings are cleaned every day and in excellent condition.
The flat was big enough for me and my two other flatmates, the rooms were actually also quite big in comparison to some other accommodation rooms I’ve seen and been to.
Big bathroom plus an additional WC
Each flat has its own washing+drying machine which saves a lot of money cause you don’t need to pay for each wash you do. A really nice addition to some flats are the private balconies they have!
Very close to the Uni of Manchester and Man Met and also super close to Lidl which again saves you a lot of money when shopping!
The area is safe and quiet and there are some convenient bus stops nearby.
Would recommend
The best thing about this accommodation is its location, with the universities just a short walk away. The walk to uni is also a pleasant one. In terms of the actual accommodation, the silver room is quite spacious, has lots of storage space and large windows letting in plenty of sunlight in, heating is good too! The kitchen is decent, all the basics are there, oven/hobs aren’t bad, however there could be more cupboard space. The bathroom is ok, there aren’t any windows so there is a spot of bathroom ceiling mould. All the issues that my flat mates and I have experienced have been dealt with efficiently, including problems such as, low water pressure in the shower, broken toaster, water leakage under the floor board. Also, the flat feels quite safe with a fob required to gain access to the reception and flat block and a key for the flat and room doors. My room is on the bottom floor facing the car park and I haven't had any problems with noise, probably the only accommodation up until my final year at uni that I’ve not had to deal with sleep disruptions which is nice! The price is also quite reasonable compared to others in the area. So overall, good value for money, ideally situated for university and very little noise disturbance - would recommend!
A lovely place, completely worth it
I lived at Moss Court in my second year of university and I loved it there. The flats themselves are spacious and have plenty of storage, washing machines in your kitchen so you don't have to worry about laundrettes, it has lifts on the inside and balconies on the outside of the upper floors and was cheaper than most other places I considered.
The location itself is a great place, a 5 minute walk to an array of shops (including a Spoons!) and a lovely park just across the road. Universities are easily within walking distance but if you prefer the bus you have access to so many different buses down the main road you'll never be waiting more than a few minutes, or the 111/15 stop is just across the road.
The very few issues I did have here were all dealt with in a timely manner and Jonathan on the main desk is very helpful and kind.
If you are considering living here I would definitely encourage you to do so.
Don't think just book!!!
Moss Court is a great place to stay in Manchester as a student. It is one of the most affordable places available within a 5/10 minute walking distance of the University of Manchester!! This is a rarity in the city as the rent prices are usually so high! Not only that, it is a 1 minute walk from the curry mile which is a huge line of take aways, as well as a Lidl. There is literally all the amenities you could ask for, right on your doorstep.
The accomodation itself is amazing. It's always so warm inside and all the rooms have their own heater, although you rarely need to use it! The kitchens and bedrooms are modern and clean so it is a really comfortable place to live. As well as this, the accomodation itself is a fun place to be, there's usually a flat party or two every couple of weeks and that creates a really good atmosphere where everyone knows everyone! But in the same respect, the accomodation is still very quiet!! The walls must be thick because I never heard any noise.
Overall this is a really lovely place to stay and I was so sad when I had to leave. Great location, great people, great friendly staff, and great memories. Not one to pass up!😊
Book it right away!
While booking the accomodation, I was confused which area and location is the best for a student, after living here now for 4 months I can say that this is the best student accommodation that you will find at this price.
The staff is friendly and always there to help, if you face any issue just email them and they will take care of it instantly. The rooms are fair in size with a wide window to get sunlight, furniture is nice and modern, bed size is large in every room, toilets are clean and well maintained, Kitchen is equipped with pretty much all the appliances that you will need. Also there are four mini fridges, which means enough space to store your food, it has a dining table as well for four people, so you can enjoy your food with friends.
The best thing is they have washing machine installed in every flat, so free laundry everytime.
The location is amazing as you have all the stores for groceries and daily essentials just 200m walk away. There is a beautiful park right in front of Moss court to get some sunshine.
University is 10 mins walk away, because there is a short cut from the park.
Bus stand in front of Moss court from where you can take any bus to the city.
For Indian students, there is a Gurudwara 200m away to have langar every Sunday.
Parcel drop in stores are just 80m away, incase you need to return a parcel or send.
Enough parking space for everyone.
Staff will take care of your parcel if your away.
They have easy installment options to pay for your accommodation.
I would recommend this accommodation as 10/10
Extremely friendly staff onsite who are…
Extremely friendly staff onsite who are happy to help with any problems you have with your flat. They make sure your parcels are secure overnight by taking them into the back if you haven’t picked it up yet which is a nice relief. Bedrooms are very spacious and have a big window which lets lots of light in which is my favourite part about my room and actually have white walls which can be hard to find when looking for accommodation most of them are a off yellow colour!! The furniture is very modern and has lots of storage space in your bedroom, there is also a bike storage which is very secure so you don’t have to worry about keeping your bike safe, overall it’s a lovely place to live in a quite area but very close to shops such as Tesco and Lidl which are a 6 minute walk away where you’ll also find bus routes to Manchester and south Manchester as far as Sale and the Airport! Parking is also available and has plenty of spaces to park if you have a car :)
This student hall is great
This student hall is great! I applied for the silver room. It’s been great so far. It’s clean, with good ventilation and really fast internet. I was a bit nervous after reading the other reviews, but apparently this was taken over by a new company and they’ve been working hard to get some improvements in. There’s a pretty big parking area, which is nice. It’s even better that this is right next to a park.
