The transaction was easy and they paid more than any other site. Amazon still has not responded to my inquiry regarding selling my books, which doesn’t matter because I found my book cart. Thank you.

I shipped my book out on a Saturday and had my $ via PayPal Monday, 9 days later, no problem.

This website is a scam. I shipped them my book in good, usable condition and they rejected it, claiming it had "water damage". It had no water damage when I shipped it and I shipped it in a plastic water-resistant envelope. They are liars. They are now forcing me to pay to have my book shipped back. Ridiculous! If I don't pay them they will probably sell it anyway and cheat me out of the money. Stay FAR FAR AWAY!!!!
P.S. Ignore their reply. They just want to justify their crooked policies. Also if they find water damage they should pay to ship it back if it's so hard to see.

I was skeptical of using Mybookcart because of some of the negative reviews, but I decided to go for it anyway since they offered the most money for my 2 books. The books were in excellent shape. They received my books and sent me a check for the amount quoted in a timely manner. My experience was great and I will use them again.

I received the payment pretty fast. The process overall was also very quick and reliable.

I recently sold a book to them that I had a concern with. Their webpage indicated that the book in question was a paperback and not a loose-leaf edition that I had. I called their customer service line and was assured so long as the ISBN number matched, there would be no problems. A few days later I received about 25% of what I was expecting and was told that the sale was rejected since it was not a paperback edition. I messaged them to cancel the sale and request my book to be shipped back but its been 2 weeks and their customer service are not helpful in resolving this issue.

I had a great experience with trustpilot and mybookcart. I needed to sell my books fast because I was done with my semester and I immediately got the shipping labels sent out my books and received my check in the mail.

UPDATE: The sudden "positive 5 star" reviews in short time span on this site appear to be in response to MyBookCart inviting former customers to come leave a review... however if this is done as per TrustPilot the invite must go out to ALL former customers and not just ones who had a good experience. I have not got any such invite from MyBookCart to come give a review on TrustPilot. It does not appear from what I have seen thus far anyone other than a handful of select customers who had perfect experiences with this company have got the invites.

Here is what happened.

MyBookCart.com agreed to buy my book. I mailed it to them.

Within hours of them getting it they sent me a generic email that they think it is a copy of the book and so will not buy it and if I want it back, I have to pay them.

The book was in good shape and a full color text book in perfect condition. It was not a photocopy of a book. This was not a copy of a book, it was a full color real textbook.

When I found this company, I had never heard of them before. A book selling site listed them as the highest paying site. So I sent MyBookCart my book and they sent me a email to confirm what they would pay me when they got it. I imagine this is a common experience for how customers come to have their first experience with this company.

Of course the book had to be in good shape and no water or fire damage, and not lots of pen underlining and highlighting,etc. That is clearly stated in the email they sent. There was zero disclosure they have a policy they can just in their opinion, even with a very good real full color actual textbook, (not a photocopy or any signs of a copy), just deem it is fake and pay nothing.

Then they stated to get it back, they must be paid via paypal. That policy is not disclosed in the email they sent. Amazon if they do not buy your book, will send it back to you, they do not charge you to get it back.

I wonder how many people who send MyBookCart books who have the same experience, just go along with the "policy" that is not disclosed in the email they were sent and just forget it and tell them to "trash the book".

I wonder if the books are actually "trashed". I have this feeling I have been scammed and fell into a scam. Had they just sent my book back I would never have got so upset and felt so wronged by this company. Why would a company instead of just sending a book back instead of trying to charge for it -- invite what appears to be only select customers who had a perfect experience to come give reviews on a third party website?

When I saw this company was paying more than others, I thought they may just be a really honest good company. I am still shocked how they do business.

Best of luck if you send this company your books and they tell you how much you will get. Unless of course, they deem it is fake, and pay you nothing.

Good experience. Easy to sell the book. They email the label, send it in...get your $ in the mail soon after! I highly recommend my bookcart.

My first time using the website to sell a textbook and I was able to get the highest pay with this website.
