Had some trouble at the start now it’s great

How I have been using the app:

I have been texting parents both in group and individually. I have sent pictures and videos. I have entered items on the calendar. I have sent/ set reminders for snack. I have taken attendance. I have sent “Kudos” and filled out an “Incident” report.

Things I love about the app:

Ability to send quick texts, reminders, pictures, videos.

I like that this has individual text streams so you can send group and individual messages. And so I’m not texting from my personal phone number.

“Kudos” is a fun option and I like the electronic boo boo report!

I feel like it takes the place of using my phone for texting parents and takes the place of the Remind App.

Things I think they could improve on:

I wish they had a desktop version. Entering all the info onto the calendar and in a longer text message on my phone without a keyboard is difficult and time consuming. At the beginning of each school year I typically enter snacks/ birthdays /color days and holiday parties for the year. This would be quite tedious without a keyboard option.

You can’t set reminders to be sent from the calendar. (snacks, color days, etc…)

You cannot print your calendar.

You can’t send a reminder text without sending the text you are setting up right away…. (I wanted to send a snack reminder for a child set for Friday. I was entering into the app on a Tuesday. the parent received the reminder on the day I entered it and again on Friday, the day I set it up to send reminder.)

We love brightwheel. It is a great communication tool for our families.

As a childcare provider I have tried multiple tracking apps- Brightwheel is hands down the best one I’ve tried! The interface is extremely user friendly and easy to set up and parents love the real time updates on how their kiddo is doing throughout the day! The only thing I wish was easier was using the app to make lesson plans available for viewing by parents (in case their kiddo needs some thing specific for that activity such as water shoes) and easier tracking for potty training. Other then that I love brightwheel and will continue to use it for many years to come!

Love this app!! And parents love it too! It is one of the reasons a family chose our center!

This is the best app I've found for the value. Parents love it and it makes my life as a teacher/administrator much simpler!

It's a great way to track the children in my classroom also sending messages keeping parents informed send photos of there child parents love this. Great service

Great app because it shows every thing my children does from the start of their days until the end. I would give 5 stars if we also had a way to check in and see what our children are doing at any moment (As in a live video)

Brightwheel is a great, customizable tool to communicate to parents about what their children are doing throughout the day. I really enjoy using it.

Awesome way to help manage our preschool. Has all our families information and billing in one place. Great way to communicate with them as well.

Brightwheel has been great in helping us to connect our teachers with our parents all in support of our students. One of our favorite features is the digital check-in, check-out that keeps track of who signed-in or out a student and at what time, which parents, staff, and administration has access to. Our preschool staff uses Brightwheel throughout the school day to communicate to parents activities students are involved with, incidents that may have occurred, and general messages. Administration can easily keep track of medical information including shot records, emergency information, and there is also a feature that allows you to collect payments, although we do not use this since we are required to use a different program. This is our first year using Brightwheel after piloting the program during the summer, and we absolutely love it!

Great way to take attendance and keep account of everyone!

Brightwheel has been a great resource for our preschool. Parents and teachers really enjoy all of the features the app has to offer. Brightwheel is always making improvements. They could improve some billing features. However, compared to other billing programs it's extremely convenient and easy.

Brightwheel is a great tool. There is A LOT to learn. I wish that we could have a person from brightwheel come and teach us how to get through some of the harder things about it.
But, overall, it's been a great tool! We are looking forward to getting more acquainted with it.

I love the Brightwheel App. It makes my day to day operations soo much easier. I can communicate with my families and send updates in real time.
The only reason it doesnt have 5 stars is that the billing function is not available in Canada.

VERY GOOD APP

I really love the connivence as both a parent and a teacher, especially the pay online option. However, I wish that I could have one account linked to my name and be able to switch between parent and teacher.

I really like Brightwheel! Very easy to use.
