Gets you by- doesn't teach the rules…
Gets you by- doesn't teach the rules that you actually need to know on the road. Only teaches the technical skills of driving. For instance- at a 4 way intersection- you are turning left- it doesn't mention to give the oncoming cars going straight the right away. Easiest way to get questions answered is with an instructor. Gets you by the required education, but the actual CA test is totally different than the My California Permit. You can pass the Online course easily- but be prepared to take all the gov practice tests to be prepared. This is why I only give it 3 stars. If even that. Not crazily impressed.

I am sorry that my review is somewhat negative- however, I wrote the review based on my experience with the curriculum. I will mention that I had no problem passing the dmv permit or driving test; however, I did extensively study from the dmv practice tests. It makes sense that the gov supplies you with required info to put in the curriculum; why not put some actual practice tests or extra study lessons to help prepare people for the permit test? This is just my honest take on My California Permits study curriculum.

The curriculum is supplied by the DMV. This course is DMV approved and includes all of the required information for Drivers Education. This course is NOT a "test prep" class to simply pass the DMV test, but rather it is required drivers education mandated by the state. Perhaps reviewing the DMV handbook and taking the DMV practice tests that we recommended would have helped you pass. The DMV curriculum supplied to us has nothing to do with our performance as a business and your rating should be changed to reflect the ease of taking this course and timely delivery of your DMV certificate we mailed to you.
