I didn’t receive call backs and had to follow up things by phoning them. I felt unsure with the car advice, quote and work that was completed. I was advised to not drive my car while awaited work that went on for a week and a half. This impacted my ability to get to and from work. In the end they changed 4 spark plugs which could have been done by anyone. I’m really disappointed because my initial dealings with mycar cairns had been totally different and I trusted the company and mechanics but on this occasion I have not felt the same way and am now considering other mechanics.

Experienced friendly staff know their job well and gets it done. Been going their since I bought my car. I would highly recommend. 👍

They knew what they were doing, but not early when I got there, the found out they didn’t have the tyres for my car. They had to go to another store and bring them back, and fit them. But all worked out well as two workers put the new ones on in no time. Don’t know why they didn’t have them ready the night before. But all good great job

I recently had a very frustrating experience with MyCar Tyres & Auto in Cairns City(01/02/2025).
I booked a regular service for my car and paid $378 for an (Essential plus) service and wheel alignment. I dropped my car off at 8 am sharp on Saturday as per my booking, given the fact that they close at 2 pm and wouldn't be open again until Monday.

What was most frustrating is that I received no communication from them throughout the day. I tried calling before they closed but couldn’t get through. I had to rush from Cairns Central Shopping Centre to their shop to ensure I could collect my car before they shut. Without this, I would have been left without my car for the weekend, which is extremely inconvenient.

To make matters worse, when I received the invoice, it had the wrong mileage listed, as they had simply copied the odometer reading from my previous service invoice from six months ago. Additionally, they didn’t even bother to change the service tag on the window, which still showed the wrong next service date and mileage.
They only did it when I went back and asked them to change the old tag.

What concerns me most is that I’m not even confident they’ve done the service I paid for. With the mistakes in the invoice and lack of proper communication, I have serious doubts about whether the service and wheel alignment were actually completed.

Overall, I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of communication, attention to detail, and poor service I received. I would not recommend this shop based on my experience, and I'm pretty sure that will be my last time to use their service.
