Can't fix a tyre which should have been an easy fix
Had a staple in my tyre. slow leak.
They said they couldn't use a mushroom plug, had to use a patch.
They tried for a while, different patches. Said there was still a leak. Can't fix it. At $650 a tyre that was a bummer.
Luckily I had a spare tyre which they installed.
The tyre with a leak was botched, glue everywhere,
On my rim, you could see exactly where their machine had been used to remove the tyre and re-installed: paint damage and scratches.
Took my tyre to Tyrepower in Surrey Hill the following Monday. Originally they weren't keen on fixing someone's else repair.
They cleaned up the patch installed by MyCar: you could clearly see that the patch hadn't even been put on the right place: it wasn't even covering the leak!
Worse, underneath the patch, the tyre had been ground to the point you could see the nylon fabric.
They used a larger mushroom plug that MyCar had, leak fixed.
Folks at MyCar were nice and friendly. Just not competent.
