I've had three laptops from these guys, all still going strong 1-3 years later. When I did have one small issue it was dealt with promptly and efficiently. Great wee company, thoroughly recommended.

A great company after several purchases
The team at Cheap laptop company have been great. I ordered and received a laptop with upgrades but it had no webcam that I needed for Microsoft teams meetings. I asked if it was possible to replace this for something more suitable, which Cheap laptop company then gave me some options. The only downside to this was the packing and returning of the laptop. Atm I am awaiting the replacement after returning the original.

This reviewer emailed before item was due to be delivered claiming they would contact the police if they didnt receive a response that day. We responded the same day confirming his order and giving him times he can call our telephone lines if he would like to speak with us by telephone in which he did not do.
He then stated he would be going to small claims court some 11 weeks later because our phone number didnt work (the number provided to him is the one on the website and office hours are stated when the lines are closed).
We were then told in a reply to our message asking why we were being taken to court that the screen on his laptop was cracked.
In our opinion, this customer had received their computer in May 2022 and based on the angry, threatening messages before delivery that subsequently stopped the moemnt the item was deliovered, we are certain that this item was not damaged upon arrival and was damaged in mid August when we were contacted again regarding this.
We will also add that the images taken of the laptop on the day it was shipped shows no such screen damage, this further shows that the item was not defective upon shipping and therefore most likely not defective upon arrival either.
Unfortunately this review has been left based on accidental damage. We have responded to all messages from this reviewer with polite informative messages, however they have opted to leave a negative review, one of which we believe contains no truth.

Excellent service and support. The 1st laptop presented an issue and was replaced within a week. Highly recommend if you are after refurbished laptops .
Also to note that the condition of the laptops is next to none, plus 2 years warranty .

Laptop arrived with a deformed battery that had obviously exploded some time earlier - so much for 'quality control'.
The company response below neglects to state that photos of the exploded battery were sent to them.

Reviewer purchased item with specification other than he was expecting, they returned the unit and received a full refund.
We were not informed at any time about a deformed battery, batteries are guaranteed to work upon arrival and if it was deformed or faulty, we would have replaced it accordingly.
Unfortunately it seems this review for some reason has been left in anger

*In response to reviewer's added note at the bottom of their review, we received no images of a deformed battery and there was no report of a deformed battery upon the return of the item showing on our system.
In addition, due to the reviewer's stern and threatening email and our concern of a possible faulty item, we sent a courier to collect the item for a full refund, a service in which we offered due to the worry for the customers raised issues, we would see this as part of the excellent service we do trey to offer to each and every one of our customers.

Reviewer did not read the clear terms and conditions regarding battery and is subsequently unhappy about this.
Reviewer purchased an item via a third party discount website and therefore we as a company have to adhere to the rules.
As a company, if you look at our feedback in general we strive to do our best to provide quality goods correctly listed for sale, unfortunately there are times when people are unhappy with what they have purchased but the company in this instance have done nothing but adhere to the terms of sale in which the reviewer agreed to.
We are sorry that the reviewer feels this way about their purchase, however they did not report any fault upon receiving their item.
Do not go near these guys.
I bought a laptop(Order: 32254) from them on the 31/08/2022 , and on first the day it blue screened. They were good at replacing the laptop which arrived on the 09/09/2022 but today(24/10/2022) it stopped charging and I also need to push 'F1' from the bios menu for it to boot into windows. I called the helpline and they we very quick to point out that software issues are not there problem. Also that the battery was not under there warrantee. The agent I spoke to was very direct and very short with me. I asked for a copy of the recording of our conversation to which he told me it was only for training purposes and would it not be sent out which is in breach on the Data Protection act 2018. He also could not provide me with a call centre reference number for my call.
I will be submitting a formal complaint to the ombudsman and seeking legal advice if they refuse to refund me. £378 and two laptops within two months is not acceptable!

We are deeply disappointed to read this review and subsequent email sent to us regarding your purchase. As I am sure you are aware, pressing F1 in order to get an item to boot can simply mean that the boot sequence on the machine is in the wrong order. It can also mean that the Charger you are using is incorrect, or that the battery has developed a fault. There will be a clear message stating the reason you need to press F1 at the time of needing to press it - a message in which was not disclosed to a customer representative when you called.
You had an item delivered and on the day it arrived you reported a blue screen of death issue. Something in which can happen to any user at any time, however as you had just received the item we offered to swap it for a like for like replacement. This is not something we actually state in our terms and conditions (see link - https://www.mycheaplaptop.co.uk/returns/) however we do try our very best to help customers with software issues if and where possible.
As for the item you are currently experiencing an issue with, as per terms and conditions, you are most welcome to return it under warranty to be diagnosed for faults. If faults are found we will repair or replace accordingly as per RTB Warranty terms and conditions. An RMA number will be provided in response to your email, should you wish to use the RMA number and return your item for repair/replacement under warranty we will of course happily exercise this for you.
As we are sure you are aware, it is your consumer right to ask for a repair or replacement of any item purchased more than 30 days prior. The company have offered this to you in a way of RTB Warranty return.
Calls are recorded for training and quality purposes and as far as the company are concerned these recordings are solely for internal use, however should a recording be formally requested as evidence in a court of law, we would of course oblige.
As for a call centre reference number, there is no law stating a customer should receive one, you were informed that the call was logged and information regarding the call was also logged and that should you wish to recall such information it can be done so by quoting your order reference number.
Overall we can completely understand that you are frustrated with an item you are experiencing issues with, however as a company we have done and will do everything in which we can to help you with the return, repair or replacement of your item should this be the requirement as we always strive to help any of our customers when required.

Dont buy from these guys. My order ref is 31979, i paid £400 for a fully working Dell laptop on the 13th august 2022 and it arrived faulty!! ( Dead pixel on the screen) and these guys cant even check its fully working before they send it out- like they should under the Microsoft Authorised re-seller program. Now that would have been ok if they had sorted it out...but they wont even answer their phones nor have i had any response to my emails.
Having contacted their customer service i have received no email response to date . When are you sending out a fully working replacement? or is this how you treat your customers when you send out faulty laptops??
Its such a shame...all you had to do was check the laptop ( ie the most basic visual check would have picked this up) before you sent it out and this issue could have been avoided.

Dear Buyer,
We are sorry that you have received an item with a dead pixel. As per industry standards, it is actually seen as acceptable to have up to 3 dead pixels on a brand new display, however as a company we do not believe this should be the case on a 2nd hand item let alone a new one, therefore once again we must stress we apologise you have received an item with this issue.
Please can we stress that we test and take pictures of all items before dispatch and at the point of dispatch there was no showing dead pixel, this seems to have happened from packing to delivery, something in which unfortunately we cannot help.
What we can do and have done in this case is offer that we collect this item and replace it with another like for like or offer a full refund if a customer decides this is the best option for them.
Unfortunately our offices are closed for lunch between the hours of 12pm and 2pm, therefore the 2 emails received at 1.33pm and 1.46pm were only seen and replied to at 1.59pm - just before officially we reopen for the afternoon.
In our response to these emails we have offered a collection and delivery service via telephone conversation from a call received at 2.01pm and also replied via email offering a refund but it seems either you have not seen our reply via email or have opted to leave this review before 2pm when we sent the response and before you called.
We would kindly ask that you let us know once your replacement unit as arranged arrives that it is an acceptable condition and then kindly consider removing or amending this review.
This review platform is offered to review the service a company offers a consumer. We agree that the item received is in a condition we do not like and have attempted as quickly as possible to arrange a suitable positive outcome form this ordeal, therefore as a company we do feel a little disheartened to read this review when all we have tried to do is offer the best service we can in an unfortunate situation.

Wow! It is absolutely fantastic! The description says "Excellent Robust 15" Powerhouse" and that's exactly what it is - excellent specs for this price- I am so happy with this laptop - great graphics for design apps and fast!

Bang on customer service
Bang on customer service, great company to deal with & purchase from. From a recommendation I purchased a Surface pro 5 & on first appearance it was fine, but within a few days it was showing signs of a faulty battery. I made the call & they coudnt of been any more helpful. arranged collection & delivery of another device for 2 days later. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them or purchasing another device when needed.

I've been wanting a new laptop for a while but couldn't afford a new one. I found this website via Google search. From viewing the laptop stocks, paying for my order it was extremely easy and simple.
I did follow up with the sales team email, as I was unsure on delivery times. The response was immediate and the delivery was very efficent.
