My genealogist
My genealogist, amazingly, was able to trace down from my Great Great Grandfather to a living relative living on Bernholm, the island where my Great Grandfather was born. I was able to get in contact with her via email (Yay for Google Translator) and we’re planning a visit next summer.

Excellent research
Niels responded very promptly when I contacted My Danish Roots. His communication in English is excellent. He quickly located many new records about my Danish ancestors and he always attached copies of the documents to his email responses. His fee was very reasonable, and it was easy to transmit the funds. I have learned a great deal from his research, and I would highly recommend My Danish Roots to Americans working on their Danish ancestry.

Niels has been a blessing
Our contact has been with Niels. From the very beginning, when we knew so very little of our Danish ancestor, Niels showed patience and responsiveness in narrowing down the possible 'roots'. The breakthrough came when we found a key word that launched a thorough research of our ancestor, to the thrilled satisfaction of our entire family. Not only did Niels find our ancestor and his entire family, his research helped us find our ancestor's sister and through other sources, gain more information about our ancestor and his family, including pictures. From knowing almost nothing of our ancestor at the onset, we can confidently say that we know so very much more today, thanks to Niels. What a blessing!
