Friendly, helpful and highly recommended …

The two men that worked at Fone World on the 19th of January 2026, 29 Queen Street Oxford were amazing. I had my mum's old phone, which had died, which had photos and contacts that mum couldn't access. I had been to the phone shop and had to buy another phone so that her account would still work, however, the staff at the phone shop were extremely unhelpful because my disabled mum didn't come with me to the shop. They did say that I could try Fone World and maybe they could access the information. I explained the situation, if they could access and transfer the information from her old phone (that wouldn't even charge) to the new phone. They said to come back in an hour and it should be nearly done. As I live in Bicester there was no point in going home and coming back if it could be fixed that day. When I came back they were transferring the information, a couple of times I had to relay passcodes from my phone. Amazing, I couldn't thank them enough. All of her photos, contacts, texts and apps on the new phone. I told them that they have made my mums day as some of the photos were recent and couldn't be replaced easily. They were so friendly and helpful that I felt the need to write a good review for them. I would recommend Fone World in Oxford to anyone who needs their phone fixed, especially if they are not tech savvy :-)

Absolutely brilliant service

I have just spent 2 hours with one of the friendliest and competent people ive ever meet in a tech store. The expert at Farnborough store was absolutely brilliant. His dogged determination to recover and transfer the information from my daughters old damaged phone to her new one was excellent. He made my daughter really happy at what he was able to do to help. I would recommend the Farnborough store any time for service, cost and products but most of all the chap that works there.

Ie about warranty, r

Fitted a new screen¹ and said there was a warranty on it , it developed a small crack 2 day after fitting. Refused to say it was there fault.
No warranty , please don't use this company, not be trsuted

Had a Huawei phone with a broken…

Had a Huawei phone with a broken screen. I took it to get fixed, paid £50 and it took over an hour. The screen had black pressure marks on it. I pointed this out and I was told to bring the phone back to be replaced again (Fix no2) after fix 2 I noticed that the screen was coming away from the device and light was coming through the gaps. They told me to bring the phone back and that it would be fixed (fix no3) then, once I had the phone for a few days I noticed the speaker stopped working. I rang up the store and told them this and they then again said they would repair the device and assured me this would be the last time it would need fixing (fix no4) After the device was fixed we tested the speaker and despite the screen not being fixed amazingly to the phone I had had enough. They said if I had any more issues they will still continue to correct it, I said I hope that won't happen and left. The next day I found out the vibrate in my phone was not working, I decided not to contact the store as I could not be bothered with a 5th fix. This was at the end of May this year (2025). as of 2/3 weeks ago the internal screen (without an external crack on the outer screen) I took it back to the shop as obviously having a phone break after 2/3 months of repair isn't acceptable. I was met with hostility, they told me they wouldn't fix the phone as it was most likely my fault. When I pointed out the faulty fix they had done to the screen and that it was most likely a connection issue the owner told me "these screens are weak they will break if you keep them in your pocket" and tried to convince me he never puts his own phone in his pocket (this was infront of witnesses) despite me pointing out this was the fault of their shoddy repair they have refused to fix or refund so now we are going to court to get the money back. As someone that has had to do this before I am more than happy to do it again for such a small amount. Do not use this shop, avoid at all costs. They do not take care or consideration with your device and they will not honour warranty

fixing my mobile

I went there to fix my mobile, the first he saw the back of my phone came out ,he said quickly, oh I can fix that for 60 pounds, I said no that's not the only problem, I tell the story that my phone went through water. And now it's not working the touch screen, he said again ,your screen is gone.i can fix it for 260 .so I ask ,,,you mean you can fix my phone.he said yes.Thats the wrong conversation. I ask 2 times 260 you can fix my phone ,he said yes ,and telling me 30 pounds plus he will change the back for a new one. And now my phone no camera after 290 pounds that i pay ,

Yesterday I visited Fone World Shop in…

Yesterday I visited Fone World Shop in Oxford. Even though the store was about to close the employee, Dani, still assisted me kindly and even waited for me as I went to get a sim card. He even helped me set up my new phone even though it was 20:10h by that time. I recommend this shop.

I went to Fone World in Bracknell…

I went to Fone World in Bracknell yesterday and was blown away by the service I received. The gentleman serving went out of his way to help, not only me but other customers as well. Nothing was too much trouble and he sorted my problem out without my needing to buy anything. The next time I need to buy anything to do with my phone, he will always be the first place I go - and I will recommend his shop to all my friends as well.

Fone World Cambridge bad service

Fone World Cambridge replaced iPhone screen 6 weeks ago. Screen developed glitches after a few weeks, randomly jumping when screen was not touched. Then a creeping blackout appeared in the lower corner. They refused to replace the faulty screen on warranty, despite their claim to stand by their work with a 6-month warranty. Unhelpful, rude staff - AVOID.
