I ordered a "set" of dumbbells from this company based upon the ads description and picture. Upon receiving the order, there was only one dumbbell. I contacted the company and was told the ad could be confusing based upon the picture and description but that it only included one dumbbell. I requested to return the dumbbell and was told that the shipping would be really high due to the factory moving to China. So, I was offered a gift card worth 50% off one item as opposed to returning the dumbbell. This order was placed on 11/3/2025. As of 4/5/2026, I have not received the gift card and I have emailed this company at least 7 times. Each time I email them, I am told that my situation is being sent to the accounts team for an expedited response. Do not buy anything from this company.

I have received only 1 barbell set instead of 2 as advertised. They staff is not available by phone.
My email has not been answered for over a week. I am concerned that this company is not legit.

I ordered a 52 lb adjustable dumbbell from MyGymUSA on August 29, 2025 to match an identical dumbbell I had previously purchased from them. Because of our budget, we purchased the dumbbells one at a time with the expectation that they would match.

When the second dumbbell arrived, it was not the same model that was advertised on the website or shown in the order confirmation. The design and weight settings were different, making it impossible to use together with the first dumbbell as a matching set.

I contacted the company on September 11, 2025 and sent photos showing the mismatch. Over the next several months, I followed up many times requesting either a replacement that matched what was advertised or a refund. Each time I was told the issue was being checked with their shipping department.

After about six months, the company finally responded that the original item was out of stock and that they had replaced it with something “similar.” This substitution was made without notifying me beforehand or asking for my consent, and they stated they could not provide a replacement or refund.

Unfortunately, this means I paid for a product advertised on their website but received a different one, and the issue remained unresolved after months of communication.

I’m sharing this experience so other buyers are aware of the potential difficulty resolving an issue if the item delivered does not match what was advertised.

I ordered a “set” of dumbbells and they only sent 1 dumbbell. They refused to refund my order. Don’t buy anything from this company! Scam and click bait. Product was also terrible quality.

So, like the other reviews, be advised, the price is just for ONE dumbbell, not a set. They purposely state a set on the headline but the fine print at the bottom of the page then says just onr dumbbell. I tried to ask them in a civil way to honor the headline and provide me the second dumbbell but to no avail. In the end, I did get a refund after multiple requests.

Terrible experience - came upon the same scam as others here. Two dumbbells were shown as a "set" in the picture (that also steals the look of bowflex), and then only one generic dumbbell arrives. In small print it says "one dumbbells" is included in the package. They make the return untenable due to the shipping cost, so you're out $200 with one useless generic dumbbell. The worst part is that if you search online for dumbbells, it is one of the first ads that Google gives you. Complaint was put forth, but Google does nothing to remove the deceptive ad.

I had the same results as everyone has commented on already. I though I was order a pair of dumbbells as the image depicted. Who buys one dumbbell. This was a total scam. They also wanted me to pay for the return which would have been astronomical. This company is from China and should not be able to use USA in their name. Very misleading.

This company is a complete scam. I ordered a set of dumbbells, which were advertised in the photos as a pair, but only received one. When I tried to order a second dumbbell, they sent the wrong specifications. Their customer service is nonexistent and unhelpful in resolving the issue. Now, they want me to return the dumbbell to mainland China, making me cover shipping costs that exceed the product's price, just to obtain a refund or exchange.

Like many others, we placed an order for a “set” of adjustable dumbbells. Thought I was getting a great deal. Took forever to ship. Received one. Item photo depicted two. Requested a return, was told that I would have to cover the shipping costs to China, which would be astronomical because of tariffs. Another option was they’d give me a gift card for 20% of the total cost to use at their website. Never received. This company is a total joke. Found the same exact weight for $60 less at Wal Mart, with free shipping. Received in 4 days.

Total scam. The pictures on their website are not what what you receive. They will then tell you need to pay for shipping to return the product back to China. Don’t waste your time

They will lie and cheat to get your money. They tell you it's a set of dumbbells, it's only one. The picture shows 5 pound increments on the dumbbell, what arrives has random weights on it, 4, 9, 16, 22 lbs... When you try to just get it exchanged they offer 5% off and then never reply. Sadly they will just change names and do it again.

SCAM - received different item than on website and even when customer service admitted it was wrong, they still want me to pay for return shipping even though their own refund policy states they provide a return label. DO NOT BUY

They never respond to returns about faulty products is a scam. Do no use!

NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM. It took my order 2 months to arrive and when I emailed them to ask why it was taking so long they never responded. FedEx informed me they couldn’t ship my product because they didn’t have my address, but I did put it in, because you can’t submit an order on mygymusa without writing your address. I emailed them a couple weeks ago and asked them to update my address but I haven’t heard back. NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM.

Terrible -

1. They start by showing pairs of dumbbells, then con you into buying a “set”. When it arrives it will be one dumbbell with a stand (set).

2. Per their return policy, a return is requested as they are disingenuous about what they were selling.

3. When a return is requested, they will try to upsell you, but the response times get longer and they just claim they are “requesting a return address” - whatever that means!

4. Waited 13 - 14 days since the delivery now, and they are no longer answering emails requesting the return information.

This place is a scam. Yes I received one dumbbell, but it’s not that great for the $200 paid.

Update: after this review was left, they did contact me with a delivery address for the return - China!!!

The cost to return in postage is more than 2x the price paid.

I am very dissatisfied - DONT GET SCAMMED !!
