Great move to Ottawa
The rate was realistic to what I was expecting. I liked them best because of the options. They had an affordable method of sharing a freight carrier with another load. It seemed weird at first hearing about it because I felt like a mix up could occur but they mentioned that was something that many people use and problems barely ever occur. Since it was the most affordable option, that's the one I went with. Within a few weeks everything arrived in Ottawa undamaged and on time.
Very Thorough
This was my first international move and when they mentioned that I was to pay it upfront and would not get charged again, I was apprehensive about it. But after some time calling and comparing, I realized this was the norm for international moving. I had tons of questions and answers for all of them. Whole staff was very patient with me and understood why I was so nervous. Everything arrived in British Columbia within the promised dates we were given. It took just over 3 weeks. No damage of any kind and the movers were nice enough to open the fragile boxes to prove to us that nothing was damaged.

I found solidmoving.eu much better than other companies. they are cheap and their customer support is extra ordinary.
Best Company EVER
This is, without doubt, the best company I've ever dealt with in my whole life. I moved from New York, NY to Melbourne Australia in Sept 2021. I did a lot of my own packing but the guys who came to collect my stuff wrapped my furniture. They did so with GREAT care - nothing got damaged. I had a huge & extremely heavy Rhodes keyboard, a drum set, an electric bass in V heavy roadcase, 2 bookshelves & nothing got damaged. They wrapped everything in thick bubble wrap. (The main guy, Gonzalo, was AMAZING, considerate & especially labeled my musical instruments "Fragile").
I packed my own boxes (56 of them!) & the only breakage was what I wrapped myself, but only a couple of things. The price was very good considering how much stuff I was moving. The best thing about the company was the guy who I was communicating with: Frank. He was always quick to respond (even though I was shamefully slow at times) & he made everything so much easier for me. He got all the paperwork done as quickly as possible & was very thorough with that. He's a total professional & a human, too! He listened patiently while I explained to him all the other things that I was going through in life, trying to move during the pandemic, not being able to land in my own country because all the airports (& other borders) were closed, flying to Turkey instead while I stayed with a friend & waited for my country to open its borders. For a hot minute I thought I might have to move somewhere else (possibly stay in Turkey longterm because I was diagnosed with cancer there & thought I might have to do treatment there) & Frank was extremely understanding of my situation. He patiently hung in there, prepared to do whatever was necessary for my situation, happy to help out however he could.
I finally decided to stick with my home country but even there, I had to change the destination address a couple of times. Frank just hung in there & made sure that my shipment went to the right place.
The pandemic caused huge problems for the shipping industry so it took quite a few months for my shipment to arrive, but that is not the fault of My International Movers. They did exceptionally well considering the circumstances that they had to juggle.
I can't recommend them highly enough! I had so many things to deal with at that time (& each thing was complex) but My International Movers was one of the only things that went "right" / easy in my life.
Please use them, you'll be happy you did :)
Technically, all my broken stuff was "moved"...
My International Movers (their international moving division) handled my move from Seattle, WA to Adelaide, Australia. From the beginning, things were difficult to coordinate with the moving specialist. Numerous calls and emails would go un-answered until I would contact other people at the company. Then it took 7.5 months for my belongings to arrive, all the while the company suddenly requiring more money than what was listed in the contract for delivery. Their moving specialist even tried to charge a university credit card that was specifically used to hold the reservation over 7 months prior.
Nonetheless, here's where the real problems began: The delivery of my items. Six of the dozen or so major pieces of furniture moved were irreparably damaged. The moving company here in Australia was astounded by the lack of care the company put into packing any of the items, which included an armoire with legs sticking out of any wrapping (two of the legs were severely damaged), a dresser that was wrapped in nothing but thin cardboard and that was split almost the entire length of the dresser, paintings wrapped in nothing but tissue and cardboard, both of which were shattered, a bicycle placed in an otherwise empty cardboard box and that, as a result, had its frame bent, and a lamp placed in a box labeled 'fragile' that received no other protection and was therefore absolutely demolished. Mind you, every item I wrapped and packed in boxes myself arrived fine, including glass figurines and mugs. It was only the poorly packaged furniture items handled by My International Movers themselves that were damaged. The estimated damage, which is all photographed and documented, is ~$10,000 U.S. dollars.
The end result has been the company offering me $500, far below the minimum liability insurance for 300 cubic feet of items shipped. It's almost more of an insult to offer me that low amount after what was clearly a result of their negligence. I cannot stress enough: this has been one of the worst business transaction experiences of my life, and the company *still* refuses to acknowledge its wrongdoing. My main goal at this point is to help others steer clear of the mistake I made hiring them to move my belongings.
Expensive But High-Quality Service
Overall, I give My International Movers top marks. The only reason I don't give them five stars is that we had a disagreement about the total volume of my shipment (boxes only - no furniture) from England to the US, and I believe I paid too much for the relatively small size of my shipment. But I have accepted their explanation (reluctantly) and have nothing but praise for all other parts of my experience dealing with them. My primary contact, V., was terrific in terms of guiding me through what needed to be done and responding to all my questions and concerns. Communication was top-notch; I always knew the status of my shipment. It was also handled very well: nothing was broken in transit. The men who picked up the shipment in England and those who delivered it in the US were quick, efficient, and courteous. So while it was an expensive shipment, it was worth it for the level and quality of the service I received.
Horrific removal from U.S.A. to U.K.
International Van Lines and Eurogroup International Movers Ltd.
It was a horrific experience from start to finish. My furniture & all my worldly goods were in a storage 20'x10'x 8'. I chose International Van Lines. Included in the quote was an upright piano which was to be taken up to the 1st floor of my home. Once they had my deposit I could not get hold of anyone at their premises. It was very stressful. I started getting information from different people. They passed me round from person to person. As soon as they picked up my furniture they started adding on more money to the tune of $660. They held my stuff to ransom until they got more money. Then, when it arrived at the U.K. port of London it was taken over by Eurogroup International Movers Ltd. They took me for another £704 before they would release the shipment to be delivered. They did not substantiate any of those charges. I had no proof whatsoever. When my furniture eventually arrived the crew refused to take the piano up to the 1st floor. It is still sitting in my downstairs front room today. I paid for it to be taken to the 1st floor. One of the crew said that if he had known that a piano was to be moved he would not have come to work that day. Charming! Do not be taken in by International Van Lines or Eurogroup International Movers Ltd. They will say anything to syphon more money out of you and not complete the job. The stress nearly killed me.
Good Price for Service Provided
The initial contact and set up was painless. The moving crew was on time and did the packing professionally with no time wasted. The same applies for the arrival which was nearly a month later just outside of London. The greatest part is they weren't too expensive considering how far I was moving and how much stuff I was bringing with me. I was quoted nearly 5 grand more than what my final total came out to here. Happy I had My International take care of this move and would definitely recommend to others.
This is probably one of the worst…
This is probably one of the worst companies to hire for moving internationally. They used multiple 3rd parties to get shipments loaded, cleared from customs, and transported it to destination. The way that price/cubic feet is calculated is unfair. i.e. $700 for a couch and $400 for a foldable table across the border. NOT recommended.
Do Not Use This Company if You Expect to Ever See Your Belongings Again
I am so disappointed with my experience with My International Movers. A month and a half after my belongings were picked up in San Diego, they still haven't been delivered, and I'm not getting a clear answer from the company on whether they even know where my things are. My husband and I recently moved from Baja, Mexico to Montreal. We were driving from Baja to Montreal, and then needed our belongings to be stored in Montreal for a about a week while we looked for a house in Montreal. My husband emailed Roee when we arrived in Montreal asking if our belongings had arrived here yet. Roee took a while to respond, and then said our stuff was being stored and ready to be delivered. We were thrilled! We found a house, and then my husband contacted Roee about scheduling a time for our delivery. Roee said our stuff could be delivered the day of our move in. Great! The next day he said my husband and I would have to meet them at customs, so we asked for clarification since we were told our belongings were in Montreal. Nothing for 24 hours and then after I repeatedly called, I finally heard back from Roee stating that our belongings hadn't left LA and would not be delivered for another 10-20 days. That was last Thursday, and as of today, our stuff is still in LA. We are now without a bed, cooking ware, clothes, medications, pet supplies, etc. and the weather is starting to get cooler in Montreal. We have already had to buy a new mattress, bedding, and some kitchen supplies to get us through as we have three dogs and it's challenging for us to stay in a hotel. We are so disappointed by the poor communication, and at this point we are wondering if they actually lost our belongings and if we'll ever see them again. My International Movers has made the already-stressful event of moving an absolute nightmare for myself and my family.
Paris Move
2 Movers arrived a the scene and got the move going. We paid for to have help with packing as well because we were running short on time with both of our work schedules. They supplies wardrobe boxes, bubble wrap, did a good job with labeling and really got us in good shape for the move. A few weeks later we were unpacking in Paris with smiles on our faces. It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows though. We found few champagne glasses that were broken when we were unpacking. They didn't hesitate to refund us $100 for the damage. I won't hold it against them. They did good.
Thank You
Just thought of getting everything moved to the U.K. for work was stressing me out. As you probably already know these international movers are so much more expensive than regular moves and so many things can go wrong. I eventually got things together and used My International. They really made this move possible and understood how stressed I was about it. Everyone made their best effort to make sure I wouldn't have much on my plate for this move at all. After I scheduled it they took control and kept it organized. The movers they had set up for me in Birmingham had quite the personalities and made me feel very welcome to my new surroundings. Just want to say thank you to each and every person who made this move possible. Also thank you for helping me understand how customs work for moving. I was confused by that part haha
Much more manageable with their help
My International took a stressful complicated move and turned it into something much more manageable for us. We relocated back to Paris to be closer to family after our daughter was born. The team walked us through the custom process which we hadn't dealt with for many years and a lot new rules had been put in place since then.
We couldn't have done it without them. They never pushed us to use their service or lied to us about any pricing. Very relaxed upfront honest business. Feel very good about the money spent with them.
Every box arrived undamaged and some of our artwork was custom crated to ensure it would remain in great shape for the whole trip. It all turned just how we had hoped.
We left things that we didn't want behind in their storage facility for our friends to pick up. The storage was complimentary.
Nothing but general feedback here!
No time wasted and no hard close needed. They gave me all the info and were very upfront and straight about pricing and minimums for international shipment. There website was very useful as well. It listed all customs requirements so we had all the info in writing to revisit when covering all of our bases. I don't think they have much competition because I couldn't find any other company in San Fran that could give as much info or had as much customer feedback written online as My International. They took full responsibility for our move to Burlington, Ontario. Everything was accounted for and checked off a list as it was moved in. They showed a lot of great organisation especially at the end. The movers were nice enough to put every single box and furniture piece in the area labelled or the area I wanted it in.
Good Service
FCL (Full Container Load) shipping was the best option as far as getting a good deal so we went for that. We didn't mind our stuff in a shared container at all as long as nothing turned up missing or damaged. And nothing did. Communication with management was good which kept us feeling positive about working with them. Lots of patience was exercised because it takes weeks but that was all voiced to us before the transaction so no negative surprises came into play, all positive.
Hats Off!
Hats off to this team for doing such a wonderful job! Very happy with the money I spent with them. They arrived on the early side of the time window and got straight to work. They managed to move me out ahead of schedule even with delays caused by my apartment's elevator availability. The move in was fantastic. They listened to all my requests on where I wanted everything placed. The mover in charge went over a check list off all the boxes before confirming with me that everything had arrived in good condition.
They even made up for a minor mistake
It was surprising how calm and organized everyone stayed during the move. I felt like there were so many details to our move. It was giving me a headache just thinking about it. Anyway the move to Toronto from Austin went pretty smooth. The only issue we ran into was the arrival time was set back a day from what they originally told us. They made up for it by helping us unpack and organize which was a no extra cost. They didn't unpack everything because we didn't yet know how we wanted it all arranged but they took care of all boxes for the kitchen and moved furniture around until we were happy with the set up. That for sure ended things on a good note.
No fine print. Thanks for making it easy
The contract was simple and to the point. No fine print or any catch that we later found. They told us the price would never change and it never did. In the beginning they contacted me the next day after I filled out forms online and over the details. I really liked how they had a few options depending on your budget and level of patience. Since I was willing to wait a bit for my stuff I ended up saving a ton. It was the ocean freight option that I used. It took nearly 3 weeks to get my things from Cali to Toronto but it didn't cost much at all. Nothing was missing or damaged. The crew had no problem answering my questions when I called to follow and see what the status was. Everyone was respectful and professional. Final verdict is the more you can wait for your things the more you'll save. I did buy a an outfit after week 2 waiting but I didn't mind too much. They also told me how long I could expect to wait so I wasn't surprised in anyway. They were good about keeping it real and not sugar coating anything.
My International Movers = Best Company
Moving to new a state = stressful. Moving to a new country = Very stressful. I read a lot up and down reviews from other international movers. I could tell from that international moving is a tricky business. Not so tricky for my international. They honestly made it seem easy. After details were worked on pricing the move was underway. I was nervous about my things arriving on time because I was starting new job and I wanted to feel organized. The movers here were impressive. My things were packed with so much care and they arrived in perfect condition. All in all, everything arrived when it was mentioned to and in perfect condition. It was expensive but honestly well worth it.
Very pleased with results
Very pleased with the results. My move was somewhat complicated, with 2 pick up locations of items in storage and one drop off location abroad. I called other places and most told me only 1 pick up location is permitted. My International got my business because of their flexibility in the situation. The dispatcher was very responsive, thorough and patient with all my details. Everything on the moving day was smooth and on time. The 2 movers were friendly and efficient. I would use them again for sure, although, I hope to not move again for some time. Moving to Vancouver was a breeze with this service.
