it is an absolute gem

Still no delivery after 9 months waiting

I made an order on 20th Jan 2022, I am still waiting for goods delivery, I've contacted them for updates and refunds and no replies at all. It has been 9 months since I ordered. Do not buy from this site.

Is myjp.com a genuine and trustworthy company?

26May2022 Update: On 1May (one day after I posted this review on Trustpilot), Daniel from Myjp.com sent me an email to explain that they were unable to ship my items due to the Covid situation. He also explained that they were unable to respond to my many emails because they had many customer queries. I told him that the company should have stated on their website that it is unable to ship products outside of Japan, BEFORE overseas buyers place their orders, and not allow overseas buyers to place orders and deduct from their credit card. Daniel accepted their error and then refunded me my payment but unfortunately, due to the credit card bank settlement charges and the foreign exchange rate, the JYP amount that was refunded to me was less than the SGD amount that I had paid. When I informed Daniel of the shortfall, he promptly made additional payments to try and cover the shortfall. In the end, he paid me more than what was owing and I then repaid him the excess. We finally managed to resolve this matter after many emails between Daniel and me, over the course of 24 days. I am pleased to say that MyJP.com is a genuine company but for overseas buyers, it would be better to check if delivery can be made outside Japan, before placing your order, so that you do not go through the inconvenience that I went through. Thanks to Daniel's help, I was able to get a full refund eventually, but it took up a lot of my time and his time.

30Apr2022 post: I am worried whether the company is genuine and trustworthy. On 12Apr22, I ordered 2 items and paid Yen48,198 (SGD 548.90), including Yen1,610 for EMS shipping within 2-4 days. I still have not received my products. Worse still, I have called the company many times and sent several emails but there is always no answer. As it is a big sum of money, I am very very worried that I might have been cheated.

Update as at 3May22: After I posted the above review, myjp.com finally sent me an email informing that due to the Covid situation, they are unable to deliver my products and will cancel it and refund my payment. I do not understand why the company continues to accept orders from overseas buyers and deduct payment, when it knows that it is unable to deliver the overseas orders. Despite knowing that it is unable to deliver the items overseas, the company went ahead and deducted payment from my credit card on the date of my order. This is DISHONEST and WRONG. If I had not written my review on Trustpilot, I would still be waiting and wondering when the company would reply to my email queries. This whole episode has left a bad taste in my mouth and I would not order products from myjp.com again.

Spent a lot of money and never received…

UPDATE March 18 due to challenges with Covid and the Ukraine conflict the shipment was not able to be shipped so got a refund which was gratefully received. The company responded to my request and I am pleased to report a successful resolution. Wishing them success in future.

March 03 Spent a lot of money, ordered items on 20 feb and delivery was expected in 3-5 days and never received my items - asked for refund and no reply. Really awful experience.

Update 13 Mar the company has shipped the products but appears they were returned to sender, requested refund but the response to questions is really slow. Really worrying after spending so much money with them

Never shipped out items

Never shipped out items even after 3 months passed. Contacted for information, provided none. Contacted for refund, refused it. Had to take dispute it with paypal to get my money back

Brilliant site

Brilliant site. I made an order before Christmas, my shipment got sent out on the 22nd Dec 2020. Received on the 2nd of Jan 2021. Items were perfectly packaged and I'm very happy overall. I needed some Ohta isan antacid, great quality. 5/5.

Suprisingly good discovery

Update: 4 June 2021 -> It seems it is no longer in business.

Suprisingly good discovery. Wide array of typical Japanese products. Would like to order again. Unfortunately, the website is on maintenance for what seems to be weeks.
Products are sent from Kyoto. Tracked parcels. Used Japanese Post option which was less expensive. Took 3 weeks to arrive, including 10 days at custom.
