Big scam

Applied for 5000 dollar loan was approved. Asked to send gift cards for insurance and service tax. Am out $425. Next they wanted an additional 300.
Now found out yesterday my bank has locked my account for fraud alert. This is a result of this company verifying my bank credentials. DO NOT USE THIS SCAM OUTFIT!

Almost fell for their scam

Almost fell for their scam, you know it’s a scam when they offer you 5000 at 10%apr to someone with bad credit. Once I sent them my pay stub and direct deposit info I was supposed to call the number listed in the email (705) 664 0327…well the number didn’t even work so right there you know these dudes are scammers. Another review on here said the name of the financing guy was “Thomas Anderson” well my guys fake name was “Thomas Watson” so clearly they just switch up names every one in a while to fool people. The guy that emailed me had some errors in his messages, so you know it was most likely some East Indian guy or some other foreigner. Don’t fall for this scam website and stick with trusted loan companies. I sent them my id, paystub and direct deposit info, so now I’m going to have to keep an eye on my stuff just in case these guys try and do something with my info.

This company is a big scam

This company is a big scam
This company is a big scam saying I was approved for $5000.
They were asking me for Apple gift cards for insurance on a loan, which is a scam!
Then they email me complaining about this review… What a bunch of birds!
Beware people they are the biggest scam artist!!

I'm not racist in anyway, but when the so-called chief officers names are supposedly Thomas
Anderson and Mike Davis...But since when does an East Indian have them names..
The last thing I'm gonna say about this is my loan buddy is not in Ottawa. They are located in Toronto. These guys are scammers. Beware do not deal business with them because they will scam you and take you for everything you got.
Below is a threatening email they sent me about this review!!

Hello Richard Warren,

This is your loan officer, Mike Davis from Loan Buddy.

We have received an update from our accounting department regarding a review you posted on Trustpilot about our website. In your review, you falsely claimed that we took $12,000 from you, even though your loan was approved for $9,000.

We want to remind you that both I and your funding manager, Thomas, made every effort to ensure your loan was processed. We understand that you faced difficulties proceeding, and we were also aware of your necessary backbone surgery. However, we are bound by rules and regulations that must be followed.

Your review contains false statements about our services. We have all recordings and documentation that clearly show the approved loan amount and the steps we took to assist you.

Because of this false review, we are considering legal action to protect our company and its reputation. We advise you to remove the review immediately to avoid further consequences.

Sincerely,
Mike Davis
Loan Officer, Loan Buddy

Body:My experience with myloanbuddy.ca – be careful

I recently interacted with myloanbuddy.ca and wanted to share my experience to help others. The company’s practices felt predatory and high-risk, and navigating their process was very stressful.
Thankfully, I confirmed with my bank that no unauthorized charges were made, but this experience is a warning to always verify lenders before engaging.
I’m sharing this so others can avoid unnecessary stress or financial risk. Be careful and double-check before providing any personal or banking information. Website not real trustpiolet reviews. No verification on lending license. Phone numbers don't work on website. No clear show of an actual office. 4
