Daylight Robbers with the absolute minimum workmanship!!!!!
Although we got our locksmith very quickly - we were utterly gobsmacked at the price to change a bifold lock barrel. The cost was nearly £600!!!!!!!!!!! I googled the cost of the actual lock barrel which our locksmith verified as the same as costing £45 on Amazon - and £30 on other websites. This is an exorbitant 1000% mark up!!!!! I wish we had read the fine print (which came under the title of parts - ie the lock barrel) BE very aware that you are paying an outrageous premium for a very mediocre (AT BEST) service and the MOST BASIC fitting of a new lock barrel. They didn't fix the door fittings - that would have been an EXTRA £1200 + £600 for the lock + VAT = £1800. WE WILL NEVER EVER, EVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. Do yourself a favour use another company.
This company quoted me £45 and then…
This company quoted me £45 and then charged me £236. They could see that due to my young family (children 6 and 9) being locked out of our house at 9pm we had no choice and took advantage.I have reported them to trading standards and the police and changed my locks. Avoid these criminals at all costs.
Do not touch these guys with a barge…
Do not touch these guys with a barge pole!!! Absolute scam artists, accepted the exorbitant charges based on the fact that we had no choice, my daughter was locked out of her house at 11pm with no other options. My issue is that the cylinder that was used to replace the one drilled out was installed with the key on the inside of the house and the thumb turn on the outside, I don't expect the technician is that dumb, I can only assume he didn't have the correct one on him.
I replaced the cylinder with one that could actually secure the property & asked for a refund for the £125 cylinder supplied.
The total bill was £490.80 so I believe that this was a fair request. 2 emails explaining my dissatisfaction & the only response of the technician calling me to tell me that the only option they would give me was for the technician to return & change it.
I'd already explained that this had already been done (with a perfectly suitable cylinder which cost £14. Based on reading the reviews of other dissatisfied customers I'm now not surprised.
Avoid this company unless you want to be robbed
Feel incredibly stupid reading through these reviews as clearly my experience wasn't a one-off and is their standard mode of working.
The invoice amount was ridiculously high (£179 to drill for 5 minutes)...but I accepted it. I was in such shock about the total invoice (over £650) to realise they then charged me an additional amount which isn't on the invoice. I have tried to communicate with them to rectify this but they refuse to acknowledge my emails and the lady who answers the phone refuses to transfer me to anyone but instead she shouts abuse to me. Complete wild west of a business reliant on people being in a rush and panic not having time to do a basic google review search.
Avoid these crooks
Unfortunately my brain also got temporarily locked when our main door got locked because I ended up calling these crooks instead of doing a simple review online and that would have saved me my hard earned money. These are a bunch of day light robbers and losers. Pathetic blood sucking losers.
This company is worst then a cowboy
This company is worst then a cowboy, they are criminals. What they charged me for a £16 lock was £135 and to replace the barrel, all it took was 1 screw. The only benefit from using them was i watched what he done, realised its one bloody screw to remove the barrel and replace the lock, i have since changed it again myself and all it cost me was the price of the lock, and a 10 minute youtube video. These crooks need to be starved out of business
SHOCKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I could give this appalling company -1, I would. Absolute shocking. Charged me £500 for changing a "complicated lock". When I called, It was informed it was going to be £50....boy was I told a lie. Shame on this company. Your attitude and greed in exploiting a stressful and vulnerable situation for people is sickening.
AVOID AVOID AVOID SCAMMERS
They also go by mylondonlocksmiths
Absolutely horrendous. Avoid avoid avoid.
Overcharged and left with property unsecured. Unbelievably rude customer service and attempting to charge another £250 on top.
Calling an emergency locksmith is already stressful. This company made it 10 times worse.

Out and out scammers ,quoted one thing then removed previous lock with a drill then said new lock fetched from van would be over£400 and when I said it was too much we’re very pushy and as 80 year old and quite ill just said go ahead. ,,when I finally got inside he put my card through machine and said sign receipt. Which I couldn’t see no glass,s. And after he left the friend sitting with me picked up bill they had charged £1003 .20. £753 invoice for a £6 lock
£753 invoice for a £6 lock
Was told over the phone it would be £60, But immediately was told the lock was unpickable and needed to be drilled and then told me my previous lock was a "high security lock" and would cost a fortune to replace. The total ended up being £753.6 but after checking amazon for the same lock cylinder he replaced i found it for £6 total rip off.
Exploitation to the fullest degree £907
Terrible. I paid £907.20 after being told there would be no hidden costs. The man presented me with the bill at the end of the job. It was 11pm and he was in my house with me alone. Said the call centre guy didn’t give me an accurate quote. Disgusting. DO NOT USE.
so unbelievably rude and overpriced
so unbelievably rude - charged 700 quid to change 2 locks and refused to quote us until after it was done
DO NOT use this place go literally any where else
My experience was the same, these guys…
My experience was the same, these guys are con artists, complete crooks, was fleeced £693 to change a lock,a lock which costs £100 and the door now swings open when off the latch and is security worse than before
Bunch of Frauds
Should give negative rating if possible for this company. Group of frauds & goons with absolutely no regard for customer. They mislead on service costs & even try to loot you by asking to pay VAT twice over.
Crooks
Quote one price over the phone, and a different one in person - they just absolutely make up the price. Absolute cowboys.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
Dont use this company they quote one…
Dont use this company they quote one price on the phone then turn up and try to rip you off said job would be £60 then turned up and wantedto charge over £250 at least Dick Turpin wore a mask
I was quoted a call out fee of £59 and…
I was quoted a call out fee of £59 and cost of the lock and labour. Ended up paying £129 for taking out old lock and £230 for a new lock plus a further £69 labour. £513 to change a lock is ridiculous, total scam. I Googled the lock and it less than £100.
Don’t use…wish I had seen the reviews!!
I searched online for a locksmith as I had been locked out! Why this company came up I don’t know as out of the area..clearly good at what they do!! Quoted £50 over the phone…it came in at a ridiculous cost!! DO NOT USE! Will do the same as others and report!
