Changes. Personal information taking

They have shut down the group to reviews, they have taken on board the safe guarding issues.
I am eager to see what changes they make.

I have one issues they said to continue the groups they wanted everyone’s GP information so they can contact the GP to see if you are capable of being apart of WhatsApp groups. This is disturbing.
In the last message they did mention about receiving “personal details” from members.

They are not qualified to take this type of information in any way, this is very strange.

Please don’t give them personal information or the “right” to contact your GP
This is still not a legitimate service backed or funded by government or the NHS

Highly distressing to think of someone claiming to posses the power to have this information on you

Hi Sara, thanks for the review. Were you aware that Safeguarding involves ensuring the person you are safeguarding has a say, an option in what you are suggesting.
To allow me to safeguard and ensure the safty of the people within the community, I would need information to enable me to contact the local authorities to raise conserns.
At that time, I was suggesting a posible way forward.
Thinking about your previous reviews, you must know me really well, to know what I am and am not qualified to do. it is such a shame that I cant post pictures here, otherwise I could share with you, a photo of all the courses I have taken which are required by the local NHS Trust to work for them, hosted on their eLearning site. Hang on a minute, I have access to the NHS's eLearning system, for staff, but that must mean . something? its too late, i cant think.

So, lets recap. You raised some, well, important queries. I addressed them, asking the people in the community, if these chat groups are to continue, then I may need further information, for example... for ... example... not that its going to happen, but for another example, if I continued with my Clinical hypnotherapy course, and I practiced hypnotherapy, then, if I took on a client who had Mental Health conserns, I would have to confirm with their GP to ensure they have the capacity to understand what is being said to them, that hypnotherpy would not trigger them.
I was applying that same concept here, to contact the GP to inform them that you had requrested to join the group and if they had any conserns. I dont even know if I have the authority to do that with or with out your consent.

Did you know, I have handled 12, yes, 12 people, since Sep when I stated the website, who have expressed their desire to take their lives. I have taken the time to talk to them, to understand what has brought them to this point, and then using my website, I have signposted them to Papryous (sorry if its spelt wrong) and other Mental Health services and dropins. But how dare those people contact me, I'm, as you keep telling me, not qualified (yet), i get messages the followig day and days after, saying they are still here. must be a fluke or, am i doing something right? but what a feeling, knowing that I had helped somebody, who is still on this earth because I took time to listen to them, oh, and as I keep being told this is all i talk about, yeah, listened to them and told them to use my website
Data protection, i may not be qualified as you keep telling me, but qualified or not, I still have to abide to the Law. If I were to go forward with consent from GP's etc, then Data protection and GDPR comes in to the equasion. So currently I dont hold any data about any persons ( ok, thats now incorrect. since closing the groups, people have come forward with their medical details, asking when the groups can be reopened ) er... so, no data held for any user on my website. There are procedures and processes I would need to do before i even consider going that route, but, hey, heres another review stating this is my intention.
My intention was Learn about psychosis. went on to leaning about depression, anxity, and others, this led on to, if more people learnt about these conditions, then there would be less stigma.
website was born to tell people about available recovery colleges BUT
each recovery college websie had a "i need help" button, whats that? my site doesnt have that. So i pressed it.
ok, so telling people about recovery colleges was good, but telling people about services in your area would be better
website evolved.
why are you at the recovery college course? to learn about peoples experiances, to find coping methods. Ok, and nice to meet the students, what, join a whatsapp group, ok thanks.
Sorry, you want to join too? and you? how about if i created a whatsapp group with different conditions? the single group changed to 15. with 50 people in under 4 days. damn limit reached again, take care

Be Warned Do Not Part With Your Cash

Use this website by all means but know it is unregulated, not offically endorsed, has no safeguarding policies and is administered by unqualified individuals. Do not pay money or agree to set up a direct debit. Personally, I would avoid based on the disingenuous site owner who gets her partner to write its Trustpilot reviews and stated she was working with a mental health charity when she was not.

Dear Barbara, it sounds like your giving up. I'm going to miss our daily communication.
However, you are correct, it is unregulated. Come to my website and it will show you what services are available in that area. I wonder of you searched Google, if it would come up with the same results ( plus others ) but is it in an easy formatted presentation with call now buttons? And if you are in crisis, would you sift through the results for the one you want or give up and call 999? I have no interaction with anybody so really don't get your point here.

Donate or not, that is really your choice, but talking to a support worker who recommended the website to somebody in crisis, asked the same person about the website a couple of days later, they couldn't remember anything about who they called or the website, so it is unlikely they would donate, and you know what, that is fine. It's more than fine, they got the support they needed at the time they needed. Excuse the cliché but that was payment enough, knowing my website made a difference to ar least one person.

Still talking about the first review? To be honest and transparent, trustpilot had been configured for a couple of months with no review, we assumes it was due to the Mental Health stigma, no one wants to admit to having a condition publicly and I wanted to know if it worked.

Now, safeguarding. Yeah it's difficult. Even the safeguarding managers I spoke to said chat rooms are difficult to safeguard, which is the reason for the lack if chatrooms like this, but talk to anynone of the participants, and they wouldn't want to be anywhere else. They don't want it to close.

So thankyou for getting me to be.more clear on my intentions, and look in to processes and procedures I didn't think about. I saw a gap, something missing and went for it, to make the link from a to b. I didn't consider what giving options of several services, many of which people are unaware of, what that would do to someone especially in Mental Health Crisis.

And to be further more transparent, the donation page does state donations are to fund my coffee, oh, as well as the website, advertising and all that stuff, but as long as I have my coffee at 3am, I'm good.

Thankyou and gave a great day, but if you find you are struggling. You can always try Google.

This is a website is designed to sign post people to appropriate services in their local area. Compared to other sites who deliver the same thing this has been more helpful as it also shows courses that are delivered in zoom and in person. I find the WhatsApp group to be brilliant support where admins are very much are on the ball and call out members who are inappropriate. The owner themselves are very experienced and can clearly tell they have trained have in peer support and healthcare. They take great value in clients. I think for the support I receive from this site it has been invaluable and for that £2 isn’t a lot of money.

Hi, and thank you for your review. Yes, im actually dissapointed with some of the other service directory type sites. it seem they provide information for "every where" and not focuaing on what is in your local area.
Blimy, someone is actually using the site for which it was originally intended ? course signposting.. Im afraid the new version which will go live soon, doesnt have that facility any more.

But, thanks again for the support.

Making a difference starts somewhere...

So far I have seen many different people with various backgrounds, introduce their own personal journeys. I have seen people trully open up about situations and very real life experiences. AND THIS GROUP TAKES IT THAT BIT FURTHER. the participants are actively encouraging and supporting each other. It seems to be working really well to collaborate and work with these individuals to encourage the idea of a shared support to those who struggle to find it in the ever-so complicated mental health systems currently in place. I see some serious opportunity for this group and I can't wait to see it become a new form of support network for those "in-between specialist services. I can see that the intentions are sincere. I really hope you keep up the amazing work and continue to grow. There is too much hate in the world and not enough care. You are inspirational and you will find your way.

Carl, thanks for your review.
It is true, if it helps 1 person, its all worth the effort, even if it's just providing a methid to bring people together, or signposting to existing services, but, signposting from a single place, not having to negotiate several websites or leaflets.
Saying that, I've just received an order for 10 fridge magnets, with QR codes to make accessing the website quicker, from Sutton Night Watch, a charity for the homeless.
Thanks again.
