I placed an order with My Mum Made It on June 7th. At that time, the item was listed as a pre-order that would ship after June 15th. That was fine for me — I needed it before a specific date, so I placed the order early on purpose.
But then, without any notification, they quietly changed the shipping date on their website to June 25th. No email, no warning. I only found out by checking manually.
Later, I noticed in my confirmation email that they had even put “August 6th” as the shipping date — again, without informing me. That’s nearly two months later than promised.
I contacted them several times via their form. After a few automated replies, someone finally responded on June 18th, offering me a refund if I no longer wanted the order. I immediately replied that yes, I wanted to cancel and get a full refund.
They ignored that message completely. Then, on June 20th, I received a new email from them saying my order would ship on July 20th.
So to recap:
They changed the shipping date at least three times without informing me
They offered me a refund, and I accepted — clearly and on time
Then they acted as if that message never happened, and continued the order anyway
Since then, they have not responded to follow-up messages
At this point I’ve filed a chargeback with my credit card provider. I’ve also seen many other customers online with similar experiences — delays, no responses, and ignored refund requests.
⚠️ I would not recommend this brand to anyone. If something goes wrong with your order, they will leave you completely in the dark.From what I’ve seen in tagged posts and reviews, it looks like they only provide proper customer service and fast shipping to people with some kind of social media following. Probably to make the brand look good and encourage others to order.
But for regular customers like me, the treatment is clearly not the same and it shows.
Update: I had to comment under their Instagram because they weren’t replying to my emails. Of course, they deleted my comment.
And right after that, suddenly a brand new account gives them a perfect 5-star review, while nearly everyone else is reporting ignored messages, shipping delays, and refund issues.
Let’s be honest Austria is a neutral country, and it has absolutely nothing to do with “wars and tariffs” causing delays from Australia. That line felt more like an excuse than a real shipping issue.
The last review was posted after mine, and I’ve now reposted my experience so people can see what’s really going on. Please be careful , my refund took a lot of effort and stress and I still have to see the money back on my account, don’t trust this company.
