Completely unprofessional
Completely unprofessional. Showed up with one guy at first and no dolly to move boxes down stairs. Heard them drop multiple boxes. Thank god I packed everything myself. Getting to the new apartment it was evident boxes had been dropped directly on the corner. They damage/scratched/chipped my Herman Miller desk, but I packed it well enough that thankfully it wasn’t completely destroyed. Not worth the hassle to me to attempt reimbursement for it. Absolutely would not recommend under any circumstances.

Spectacular. True to their name, our move was a piece of cake: they were responsive, efficient, professional, and flexible.
Our main point-of-contact, Nicolas, provided such good service—and with such enthusiasm! His spunky, supportive attitude really saved us when we got a nightmare email from our old building announcing that our elevators needed unexpected maintenance on our move day.
Nicolas assured us that he’d work with his team to adjust the plan, partially load the truck a day early, and complete our move-out during the brief windows of elevator operation. Sure enough, our crew of 3 was adaptive and got the job done, no problem (Thanks Vuk & Co.!).
That kind of flexibility and accommodation meant so much, especially during an inherently stressful time: in addition to the elevator complications, my wife is 8.5 months pregnant!
I’ll never use another moving company: Piece of Cake has my loyalty for life.

First I end up paying double of the…
First I end up paying double of the agreed price , more boxes were added and the way they were packed was more of paper thus more boxes adding additional 2k , I asked Michael to packed my purses , I left him in my bedroom, he started loading boxes from my bedroom to the truck when the other mover was still packing my living room. When I finally got my stuff , my silver Lady Dior purse worth 5 k was , missing , I complained , several e mails later , they said that I opened my box in front of them , yes I did , but there were several purses and when finished unboxing , one purse is missing. The movers were really nice except for one person, he was always on the phone and handled all the boxes in my bedroom.,My original estimate includes a shredder, I end up not boxing it , gave it to my neighbor. I asked Michael to take my Dyson vacuum, he said I need to pay extra for it . This mover is all about money, I gave him a tip and he said normally it should be 20 percent of 4500 dollars. Lesson for me , there is always a rotten apple in a basketful . I am disappointed and distressed every time I remember this experience

I use this company about 5 months ago…
I use this company about 5 months ago to move. Everything was fantastic and everything went smoothly up until about three weeks later, when I realized that I now had bed bugs, and the only way that could have happened it's from the blankets that the movers used to wrap my furniture in had to have so I've now been dealing with that for these past couple months, and then it's been a horrendous deal.
And i'm going to give one star reviews to as many platforms as I can to warn people.Because the movers should have checked the blankets, not used dirty ones

Piece of Cake Moving is the BEST
Piece of Cake Storage is highly recognizable and highly visible with their bright fluorescent pink trucks all over New York City and Westchester. When I ran into a serious situation where the initial moving company neglected to tell me that they didn't work on Saturdays and left half of my apartment full of furniture still there I was in the panic .
Piece of Cake moving showed up within hours and managed to save the rest of my furniture from being thrown on the street because I was already past the move-out date dealing with an angry landlord.
Gerard was the person I spoke to most of the time but while their prices are not bargain basement, you get more than what you pay for. The initial moving company charged much less but when it came time to get my items back pieces from my computer backpack were missing DVDs worth thousands of dollars didn't show up and nothing was classified and marked down They simply grab my stuff through it in the back of a truck.
Piece of Cake is a much more professionally run company and organization, every item was boxed and marked and I saw it on a checklist. I wish I had called them first because of debacle that ended up after using their first mover never would have happened. Gerard knows the story but I don't feel like revealing that in a public forum .
For all you're moving and even storage needs I highly recommend Piece of Cake. Tell Gerard "dirt bike Mike" sent you. He may not drop a discount from that, but at least you'll make him laugh. 💪🏻🥰💪🏾
